Video Transcript for Redline Tires and Wheels 7-122 Review

Today we're going to take a look at the replacement drive-in trailer hub wheel stud. This is a half-inch diameter, two inches long, and a quantity of one. This half-inch stud is designed to replace a damaged wheel stud on your trailer hub. The raised spline portion of this stud is what will be driven or pressed into your trailer hub. The stud is what will go through the bolt hole on your trailer wheel. When used with a wheel lug nut will hold your tire and wheel to your axle. The head of it is stamped as grade eight bolts.

Again, the thread size, the diameter of the thread is a half-inch. There's 20 threads per inch. It does use the standard half-inch by 20 lug nuts. I did happen to pull one of those from our warehouse, just to show you what it looks like. When this on your trailer hub, you put your wheel up on the stud, and then just go ahead and put your lug nut on there.

Tighten it down. Torque it to specs, and your tire and wheel is all connected to your axle. A few measurements on this. The overall length is measured from the bottom of the head to the end of the bolt, two inches. The threaded portion, if we measure just that is 1-1/4 inches. Then the diameter of the spline, that's the portion that gets pressed into the trailer hub.

The diameter on that is 0.61 inches. That should do it for the review on the replacement drive-in trailer hub wheel stud, half-inch diameter, two inches in length, and a quantity of one.

This was exactly what I was needing. It took me a little while to find it since this was not offered anywhere else, at least that I could find. I installed this on my 2022 Vengeance Rogue 32V camper. It was a perfect fit. It shipped in & arrive at may house in more than a reasonable time but who am I kidding. etrailer has always taken care of my trailer needs over the years. Dont overthink it. etrailer has your back.

by:

genuinely surprised how difficult it was to find this wheel stud around town. I found it here and bought two just in case. Good quality and identical to the original.

by:

It's a stud. It hasn't broke or fallen off.

Perfect match for what I am replacing!

by:

Exactly what I was looking for and the only website/company that had the right size and came in quicker than I had expected

Great never had any issues with the wheel studs

by:

These were a perfect fit for my 5th wheel and Kimberly did an excellent job helping me find the correct part! Great customer service!

by:

Identical size and shape to the old studs in a 12"x2.5" hub for 5200# axle. Hopefully will last longer though.
If you can get the old broken lugs out, these are easy enough to hammer in.

Bruce

No problems over the last 8k kms

by:

Exactly what I needed!

by:

The Hub Drum matched perfectly with the setup that was there before. I am giving them five stars because everything was how they said, and it matched perfectly. I wish they also add a cotter pin to the kit. That way, you do not have to go and get one to complete the job.

by:

This was exactly what I required to repair my Wells Cargo utility trailer. The support staff at e-trailer are absolutely great and quick to respond to any of my inquiries. Won't hesitate to use them again.

I’m writing to praise Braden E in Customer Service. Braden spent a great deal of time with me in researching exactly what hubs I needed for a very old axle. At one point I asked Braden if he was the owner. Why? Because I was struck by his attention to my needs, his tenacity and persistence in getting things right. He is truly an asset to the company. I think Braden is a rare breed these days. I’ll be a repeat customer because of my interaction with him.

  • Replacement Wheel Stud with 1/2 x 20 and .62 Spline Diameter
It sounds like the Trailer Hub Wheel Stud - Drive In - 1/2" Diameter x 2" Long - Qty 1 # 7-122 is what you're looking for. This is a 1/2" x 20, 2" long stud with a .61 spline diameter-which is the closest we've got to your .62; this could just be down to a slight difference in the measurements taken and I believe this should work for you.

  • Can Wheel Studs on Brake Hub/Drum Be Replaced
You should be able to replace the wheel stud, but you'll need to drive the stripped stud out and get the measurements shown in the provided diagram in order to locate the correct replacement. While we do not carry the exact same wheel studs as the one's you're looking for, however I'd be happy to help you measure your wheel studs to see if we have a comparable replacement.
