Video Transcript for Redline Tires and Wheels RG03-080 Review

Today we're going to take a look at the replacement drive-in trailer hub wheel studs. This is for a quantity of four. They are half inch by two and a half inch size. These half inch studs are designed to replace the damaged studs on your trailers wheel hub. The raised splined end portion right here of this part is what will be driven or pressed into your trailer hub. It holds them into place.

The stud is what goes through the bolt hole on your trailer wheel, and when used with a wheel lug nut, will hold the tire and wheel to your axle. These are grade A bolts. The thread size end is a half inch diameter and twenty threads per inch and they do use a standard half inch by twenty lug nuts. I happened to pull one of those standards half inch lug nuts and you can see they're designed to just tighten onto the end there. I do want to give you a few dimensions on these. The overall length, which is measured from right under here to the very end of the threaded portion, that's your two and a half inches. The thread length portion is right at one and a quarter inches.

That should do it for the review on the replacement drive-in trailer hub wheel studs, half inch by two and a half inch in size and a quantity of four of them.

Replacement Trailer Hub Drive-In Wheel Studs

by:

Installed these studs on Stake mount Tire carriers. With these studs I carry my spare tire, spare lugs, spare stud. They fit well and seem solid. I would recommend and buy again if needed.

by:

Keep your lug nuts tight! Used these to replace my original 6000 lb Dexter Axle studs. Almost identical and much less expensive. As always, my order was at my door in no time!

by:

Great product,Worked for what I needed it for, changed rimsand needed longer studs thanks

by:

Neither of these products will work for my application. I needed threaded studs, both ends as well as nuts with shoulder washers, not acorn.

by:

Perfect fit for dexter 8-201

by:

Perfect fit and fast shipping.

by:

After one year studs are working fine with no problems

by:

Fit perfect super fast shipping. Thanks !

by:

This product was as advertised. I had cross threaded a wheel stud on a 2012 Montana fifth wheel trailer. Local auto parts did not have replacement studs the diameter or length I needed. I found this product online. The order was shipped same day (on a Saturday) and arrived a day early allowing me to complete the repair before leaving on a short trip.

by:

they worked perfectly for replacing the stripped ones on our trailer

by:

These lugs worked perfectly for my axle. I needed longer lugs because of an alignment issue that required a wheel spacer to correct.

We have made several camping trips ao far with no issues. None of the wheel lugs have required re-tightening.

by:

Looks perfect very good job

by:

My parts were hard to find and these worked perfectly.

by:

Threads were so bad from bouncing around in package that I had to run a die over every one of them, poor packaging.

Ugh! Having to do extra work is never fun. I will send this to our Customer Service department so that they can assist you.

by:

We had searched everywhere trying to find these Hub Wheel Studs. Ours had been cross threaded during a recent tire change and three had been broken when it was attempted to take the tire off. We had a camping trip planned and would be unable to go if we did not find these. The person that helped us when I called was very helpful with our order. We were on a short timeline so we needed them asap. They arrived actually a day earlier than expected and fit perfectly. I only ordered one pack till I knew if they worked. Now I can order two more packs for spares.

by:

This is the second order from etrailer in two weeks. Both of them arrived quickly and were exactly as described. The wheel studs were a perfect fit and allowed me to install new aluminum wheels on my boat trailer and have the lugs securely tighten down. I would definitely order from etrailer again.

by:

I would like to thank Regina for her outstanding service. She was
super positive, knew her information and was very polite. I would
look forward working with her again. Please pass on my sincere
appreciation for a JOB WELL DONE. I will be able to go on my
trip to Alabama next week as planned thanks to Regina. My camper
is broke down due to lack of Special Wheel Studs. Regina made it
happen. Thanks. Jerry

by:

I’m ordering replacement studs. I had a wheel come off. All six studs broke off at the rotor. Hope they are not Faulty as I replaced all thirty size studs on my triple axle. Did this about two tears ago. Someone thought they were too tight.

by:

Couldn't find these studs anywhere else and they're an exact match for my 21 yr old AL-KO axle hubs. Great service & price from etrailer.

by:

just what I needed but with Great prices and super fast shipment! Thanks

by:

"the wheel studs that don't exist". I have a trailer that every, and I mean every store, told me didn't exist any more... Less than 20$ etrailer had me back in business.

by:

Thanks etrailer, I looked for these wheel studs at the local parts stores and they couldn’t locate them. I thought I was SOL.

by:

The measurements were right on. The diagrams u have w the measurements made me confident I was getting the right parts. I'm going to come back if I need trailer parts again. Thanks for the great service.

by:

Haven't installed them yet but look like the correct parts for my 7k Dexter axles

by:

Wheel studs replaced the broken originals perfectly.

  • How Can I Determine Which Wheel Stud Will Fit On My 2015 Forest River Grey Wolf TT?
If the wheel stud you're replacing measures 1/2" x 2-1/2", then the Replacement Trailer Hub Wheel Stud, Drive-In, 1/2" x 2-1/2" # RG03-080 will work just fine for your 2015 Forest River Grey Wolf TT. Unfortunately, I can't say for sure what the correct wheel stud is for your trailer with just knowing the trailer year, make and model. However, you can determine if this will fit for sure by measuring your current wheel stud (A,C, and E from the picture) with a set of digital calipers # PTW80157. From...

I was able to confirm with Dexter that the 5048964 axle are a 3500-lbs EZ lube axle, which will accept hubs with an # L68149 inner bearing and # L44649 outer bearing. If you just wanted to replace the wheel studs, all of the hubs that fit on this axle use 1/2" wheel studs. I've linked all of the 1/2" wheel studs we have available for you to have a look at. Generally speakiing you'll want to use something like the 1/2" Drive In Wheel Stud # RG03-080 or the screw in # 25-51, depending on...

  • Replacement Wheel Stud with 1/2 x 20 and .62 Spline Diameter
It sounds like the Trailer Hub Wheel Stud - Drive In - 1/2" Diameter x 2" Long - Qty 1 # 7-122 is what you're looking for. This is a 1/2" x 20, 2" long stud with a .61 spline diameter-which is the closest we've got to your .62; this could just be down to a slight difference in the measurements taken and I believe this should work for you.

  • Longer Wheel Stubs to Fit a Shorlander Boat Trailer Hub and Aluminum Wheels
The longest 1/2 inch drive-in studs that we have are # RG03-080 which is a set of 4 and they are 2-3/4 inches long. For a longer lug nut that is 1/2"-20 threaded you can use # AM90070. If the studs are not long enough or don't have the right dimensions where they fit in the hub (see specs on product page) you might have to go through Shorlandr.

That would only be if the wheel stud thread was 20 threads per inch. You may consider replacing the wheel studs if you can, just make sure the replacement matches the length and knurl size of what you have. • How Long Do My Lug Studs Need to be on Dexter 2200-lbs Axles
I'll start by saying that without knowing which hubs are on those axles, it's tough to know exactly which lug studs are on them, but I was able to research and determine that the studs are normally 1.8" long. Taking this into consideration, you're going to need studs that are at least 2.3" long to make up for the added space between the hub face and wheels. The Kodiak Wheel Bolts # K12WB2 are only 2" long, so these are not going to be sufficiently long enough. I recommend using the Replacement...
