These brakes are excellent! And so is the service/technical support provided by George J of etrailer and others. This was the first time I ever replaced trailer brakes and I also bled the brake system for the first time. Everything went very smooth. I live in Florida and all of use of the trailer is in salt water. The brakes have held up very well.1754586

Gentlemen, no fault of yours, but I had purchased for drums and for brake assemblies unfortunately, my first trip to put my boat in the water saltwater mind you believe it or not the next day they were all rusty I should have purchased galvanize what is your opinion? i’ve always had excellent product and good service with etrailer PS I will still shop at your facility. To be honest saltwater is hard on brakes and drums. Ideally switching out to disc brakes with stainless steel brakes would be the best however that would mean switching out coupler and brakes which would be expensive. You could go with galvanized 3500-pound brakes like part # AKFBBRK-35-D and if you have a 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern then you can also use part # AKHD-545-35-G-EZ-K for hubs. It will give better protection than just the basic e-coat, however will not last forever.

I went to two of the three auto parts stores in our little town thinking that a plain brake hose could be had. Turns out that brake hoses these days are all model specific and the clerks politely refused to help me without a part or model #. So I searched the internet and finally found exactly what I wanted here at etrailer. Not only that but the price was very fair and shipping cost was surprisingly low. Delivery was prompt and the after sale follow up from the folks at etrailer gives me chuckle...I ain't never seen this kind of "takin' care of business" for a little $26 order like mine was. Great!!! Well, wish I could give a more definitive report, but the fact is that these parts were installed on a boat trailer and the trailer was used to fetch the boat at a hundred miles distance and now has been sitting in the drive way ever since, due to winter. Will soon be moving it around a bit.

These hoses fit perfectly, just what I needed.
