Perfect. We have gutter heating cables and I needed something to cover the 3-prong plugs when they were not in use - so they wouldn't corrode. I spent a long time looking for this product. Usually a search turned up the opposite (outlet covers). FINALLY I got a hit and ordered 5 from etrailer. The loop is just long enough to fit over the plug and the covers fit very snug - water tight. Material seems like it will stay flexible outdoors. For me a winner.

by:

Bought the cover for block heater on tractor. After a year it still fits tight and keeps the plug looking like new. Good quality. Good people to do business with. Will shop there store again.

by:

I purchased this product to cover the 110 volt male plug which hangs out the front grille of my 3/4 ton pickup. I have a diesel motor and the plug powers the engine block heater. I wanted to protect the plug from dirt and weather. It works perfectly.

by:

Feels like a very cheep piece of junk.

It
does not go on a plug end as expected to cover the plug, it's for the receptical end.

No way to stretch the cable end to make it fit over the end. It is for a cord with no end or maybe a zip tie.

Feels like something worth 59 cents.

by:

The cover fits the heater cable. However, I feel the cover should be affixed to the cable and not sold separately

by:

I went to put it over the plug and the strap came off!

by:

Does it's job and keeps the connector clean of any debris.

Using this to protect the plug on my on board battery tender.

Cap fits well over plug but how are we supposed to get the wire through the retaining loop ?

You mentioned that you wanted to know how to get the wire through the retaining loop. I reached out the manufacturer who recommended to use a small plastic tie to go through the loop and use the tie to secure the plug cover. You would not be able to move the wire through the hold in the loop.
