Replaces the removable cord on your Kat's Heaters frost-plug-style block heater with a 3-prong plug and a maximum of 1,800 watts.The freeze plug heater on my 1980 Allis Chalmers 5020 wasn't working but I was pretty sure the cord had a broken wire. I searched online and this cord at etrailer appeared similar to mine at the molded orange end so I ordered on the chance it would fit and it did, but wasn't a really tight fit. I added a clamp that mounts to the freeze plug mounting bolt with a locknut to keep the cord end firmly in place as shown in the photo.
Had to buy some replacement cords for the block heaters on our older Massey Ferguson tractors and these had the correct end that plugged right in without having to replace the whole element. When buying a replacement cord make sure it has the correct type of connector that you need as there are many different types.
The cord that I purchased was probably a 98% match to an original. It was a little tight fitting but did fit on the terminal prongs correctly I also secured this unit with a washer and nut to make sure it doesn’t vibrate off the terminal prongs , this was a very satisfied purchase I will buy from e trailer again
Product arrived in a few days and looked and worked as it should. I can now start my diesel tractor again without buying an entirely new block heater.
