Hey guys, it's Randy here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the replacement L pins and clips for the equalizer weight distribution systems. This is going to be an exact replacement for the 6,000 to 14,000 pound variety. And we're going to get both sides. So you'll have the left and the right. Basically, if you're looking for these, you probably know what they do, but we'll give you just a quick rundown.
These act as snapper pins. And basically once we have our sway bars or weight distribution bars set down on our L brackets, you have a bracket that comes down and in, our bars sit there. Well, these are going to slide down and in, capture it and then that clip is going to clip right around the bottom of the bar. That's going to hold it in place for us. That just basically holds that sway bar in on that L bracket.
It makes sure that they don't slide off. Now in working with customers on these, everybody has been very pleased with these. It's an exact replacement for what came with it. Even a customer I had talked to, said that quieted his system down a little bit.You know, these are a very small part of the entire weight distribution system, but without these we're in trouble. It's just not going to work the way we need it to.
The bars aren't going to be held up on those brackets. So whether you've lost yours, misplaced yours, whether somebody needed them from you worse than you did and took them whatever the case is, I think this is going to be an excellent way to get your system back and working. I also, wouldn't be afraid to keep some of these on hand. If you're out somewhere, you take your system apart and move it around a little bit, you happen to come up missing a couple of these, it's going to ruin a trip. So either you're going to get these as a direct replacement because you've already lost them, or somebody has gotten them off of you, or you just want to have them handy and have them on hand in case you do lose one, or maybe your pin, the snapper portion here, maybe it comes off or breaks or something.
Just a good idea to either have them as backup or instead of going out and getting a whole new weight distribution set up when you've got the replacement part you need right here to make it work.So overall, I think you're going to be happy with it. It's going to be a direct replacement of the ones that you're missing or the backups that you need. So good customer reviews. We all know equalizer products are always great. I bought these to replace the originals which I will keep as spares.
These L pins are way better than the factory L pins I received with my Equalizer. No opportunity to lose the pin with these or bust my knuckle trying to get the pin in. With these you just flip the attached pin over the L bracket an done. Definitely recommend.

Still working great.
Finally another product that helps saving you from damaging your fingers. For my weight distribution hitch for our travel trailer. The normal push pins cause issues. These are awesome

We received the L pins very quickly, exceeding my expectations! We are happy to have them because we lost one. I was never able to put the clips in the old ones, so I appreciate how easy these will be to use.

This was my first time ordering from etrailer and I was very pleased with their website, how quickly they responded to my order, and the quick shipping. The snap L-pins is made by Equal-i-zer, not some foreign knock-off. I've not had a chance to use them yet, but they appear to be superior to the old style pins with kotter clips that came with my hitch. Highly recommend etrailer!

They are working out great. A time saver when hitching and unhitching, plus you dont have to worry about losing the kotter pin.
While in storage I had a couple parts to my seat hitch stolen. The thief only took what he needed, the L pins and the hook lever tool but I was stuck without them. I ordered these products from etrailer and they came good, fast and cheap. You normally only get two of the three. If it's good and fast it won't be cheap. If it's fast and cheap it won't be good. If it's cheap and good it won't be fast. etrailer delivered all three.
My trailer is a Reflection Series by Grand Design. It was not part of your drop down selection.

Very sturdy materials and will provide hitch protection we need for our travel trailer while towing.

Figured I would try these with the new L-brackets. Seam to work good.
Purchased extra L-pins for my Equalizer hitch in the event I loose one while on the road, definitely a good idea to have spares. I like the improvement to the L-pin with the integrated locking pin, an improvement over the previous design.
I also purchased pins and clips for the spring bars, it would be great if Equilizer would find a way to attach the clip (a lanyard?) so one couldn't loose this essential part of the assembly.
Easy ordering and speedy delivery from etrailer!
We have had a problem with our L pins bending slightly while in use. I was told by the Equil-i-zer hotline that some bending was normal. We have always worried about losing the keeper pins that came with the hitch. We decided it was time to replace our L pins when we noticed Equil-i-zer released a new model which did not have the hole and the keeper pins. This looked so much better than the OEM L pins we had so we replaced them along with the new style pins and thumb clips for the spring bars. Thanks to Equil-i-zer for making these improvements with the consumer in mind.
Good quality. Looks and feels like the same one that originally came with my weight distribution system.

Still working great after a year!
Great system I have been using it for 6 years but I traded up for a larger camper that weighs more than the 10 k bars could handle . So I called you guys before I just ordered a new complete 14k system I spoke to Katie d. Wow she sure was a patient pleasurable person to talk too. She went above and beyond for me to verify and order me the new bars and few other small items i fugured I should replace . She kept in touch with me via email to let me know when my order got in and when it was shipped. The product arrived at my home ahead of time and Katie d even sent me a verification email stating your order was delivered and asked if needed anything else let her know. It is employees like her that truely. Separate your company from all of the others. So now I am rollin down the road with the right set up. Way to go guys.
I purchased the Equal-i-zer L-Pins with Clips. The new design appears to be very good. I did find however that the new design of the L-Pins are not compatible with the current sway bracket jackets which I use to mitigate the friction of the bars on the saddles. I'm told that the sway bracket jacket is being redesigned to be compatible with the new L-Pins so this will be nice. In the mean time, I've trimmed back the sway bracket jackets to accommodate the new L-Pins.
Exact duplicate of the original equipment, as promised. Feel more secure now that I have spare L-brackets and matching pins.

Havent needed to use the new cotter pins and L-brackets since they were purchased as spares.
Fit perfect. I called etrailer about the top of the pin not touching the sway control bar and they didn't know the answer so they put me on hold and called equal-i-zer and got an answer. That is what customer service should be like. By the way, they are designed like that to keep the noise down.
These new, redesigned pins from Equal-i-zer are a vast improvement over the originals in terms of ease of installation .. and no more worrying about lost hitch pins when you are in the middle of nowhere.
This new design also helps reduce the loud “grinding” sound that the hitch bars make in low speed turns (an unwanted attention getter).
As always, the entire staff at etrailer makes buying from them a real pleasure, their products are top notch, their prices are as low as can be found and their shipping is amazingly fast.

I was looking for some trailer hardware that I lost somewhere...and after not finding it, decided to order new. I found etrailer.com to be fantastic...good price, good fast shipping...really good communications. Highly recommend --- As for the L-clamps, just what the doctor ordered. New design than the old ones with cotter pins...I think will work great.
