Added (welded) to our diesel pusher Motorhome and have no issues and really no worries while towing whatever we feel we need while camping.

by:

This hitch was exactly what was needed for my landscaping customer's small dump body truck. It replaced the original custom hitch with only minor modifications to accommodate the cargo body. I have done considerable work for this customer over many years. No issues reported with this job. All good!! Thanks to Curt and etrailer for great products and stellar service. —

by:

The hitch eeceiver I bought is perfect for my RV. What I was even more impressed with was the updates etrailer.com sent as my order processed and shipped. Each step of the way I was updated by employees who accompanied the update with their photos. Very personalized experience. Thank you etrailers.com!

Package arrived on time-there was a good deal of dust in the package but that doesn’t hurt anything-the hitch and pieces are heavy duty.

by:

Curt Class V receiver received complete and as advertised. Now, to get it installed by welder/ installer on '03 Newmar Dutch Star.

by:

Worked great for my custom application. Placed behind my custom bumper as a hidden hitch.

by:

Well made hitch, very adjustable, and easy to install. No problems towing my 30' cabin cruiser with my new-to-me Semi-tractor. Exactly what I was looking for.

It’s beefy and solid. The mounting bracket square holes had to be cut in a smidge and he added two more support bars.. but all in all. My welder said it would tow 11-12 k. Not the 16k I was told. But hey. I’m okay with that. There was a shipping issue which forced me to reschedule a few things, that is the only reason I gave 4 stars. Otherwise I am supper happy with how it turned out.

by:

It is very well built and the powder coating is very tough, took a good grinding to get it off for the welds. Good price as well. I used it for my 2006 Bounder 35E, not because it was a high rate hitch, as I did not need one, but this was the only one that would lower the hitch to a more normal height from the ground. The old hitch was so high a 10" deep was not enough to use a trailer parallel to the ground. Now I can hook up a lot easier and not worry about scraping. Looks good too.

by:

Great quality product from Curt . Can be easy installation depending on the application.. mine more difficult because of aluminum alloy frame, so will have to do some reinforcing.

by:

I put this on my 03 Freightliner Columbia. It does everything I want it to. It is bolted and welded.
I like it so much that a bought another one and put it on my old school bus. That one is just bolted on.

by:

attached this hitch to my 1984 American General 5 ton military truck. Had to do some modification to air lines and drill a few holes but it is perfect for pulling civilian trailers with the M 813.

Perfect fit on my 2009 blue bird

  • High Capacity Trailer Hitch that Fits 2008 Tiffin Allegro Open Road 34TGA
For your 2008 Tiffin Allegro Open Road 34 TGA that could have been built on a Ford, Freightliner, or Workhorse chassis we have the Curt Class V hitch part # 15901 listed as a fit which has a 15k towing capacity. This is a weld on style hitch that is semi custom fit meaning it doesn't bolt right up. The brackets would get welded to the main crosstube at the correct width to fit your trailer frame and then the brackets

  • Class V Trailer Hitch Receiver Option For 2023 Thor Challenger Motorhome on Ford F-53 Chassis
We have a couple options for a heavy-duty Class V hitch, and while there is not a custom-fit option for your Thor Challenger motorhome on a Ford F-53 chassis, you can still add a weld-on hitch. From my research, the rear frame on the F-53 chassis is 34 inches from outside to outside, but you'll need to measure the distance you need from the bottom of the frame to the top of the receiver. Once you know that, you can choose from any of the following Class V hitches: - 3" Drop From Frame:...

As far as mounting your 472-pound motorcycle along with the 52-pound Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier # UF48-979033 on your hitch rated for 500-pound hitch, you should definitely upgrade the hitch. This is because it is extremely dangerous to exceed the rated weight capacity of your hitch. While we do have a great option for you, the only Class IV universal hitch we carry is specifically constructed to be used with service vehicles. That is the Buyers Products # 3371801053. Even though I can't recommend bolting a hitch to your bumper I do have a solution for you. For your application I would recommend a universal frame mount hitch, because this type of hitch will give you a more secure connection since your type of bumper is not ideal for bolting on a hitch. These hitches weld-on to the frame of the vehicle. We offer # 15901 with 3 inch brackets and we offer # 15902 with 10 inch brackets. The # TLF1003-30 hitch you're asking about is designed for a 1999-2016 Ford F350, F450 or F550 chassis/cab and wouldn't fit your Topkick. For your truck, you'd need a multi fit hitch for heavy duty trucks as none of our vendors offer a custom made fit. In order to choose the correct one, you'll need to know the needed drop, height difference between the rear bumper and the underside of the Tommy Lift. If these heights are even, use the # 3371801050 from Buyer's Products. For a 3 inch...

  • Making a 3-Receiver Trailer Hitch for a 2007 Ford F-150
I can certainly help you with the parts you will need to add a 3-receiver hitch to your 2007 Ford F-150. First, a custom fit trailer hitch will not work for this application. What I recommend is a raw steel weld-on hitch such as # 15901. Then you could weld on a couple of receivers # E-9 to create a 3-receiver hitch. All welding should be performed by a qualified professional welder. After welding I recommend painting the hitch because the raw steel can rust.

  • Recommended Class V Trailer Hitch For 2003 Newmar Dutch Star RV
The Class lV or V hitches we have that are available for your 2003 Newmar Dutch Star RV require welding installations. I recommend the Curt Class V Universal Weld-on Hitch, part # 15901. This will fit frames from 18 up to 44 inches, and with the side brackets produces a drop of 3 inches from the frame. This hitch has a 2 inch receiver opening. You will want to make sure you do not exceed the towing capacity of the RV.

  • What are the Towing Capacities for the Curt Hitches part # 15901 and # 15902
I can tell you what Curt lists as the capacities for their # 15901 and # 15902 hitches. You are correct, they both have 12k capacities. The only other capacity you will need to look up is the capacity for your RV. If it is at least 12k then you could take full advantage of the hitch's capacity assuming they were installed correctly. This info should be in the RV owner's manual.
