I had one of these on boat trailer. Slides in so nice with a click, unlike plastic ones that swell and go in kinda wonky. Swapped both other trailers to this style, well worth it.

Great plug. I'm going all metal with my installations on trucks and trailers. The strain relief is especially effective to prevent cable from pulling on screw connections. Brakes are important.

Got tired of always having to replace the plastic plugs on the trailer that sets more than it gets used and the sun makes the plastic ones brittle so I went to the metal you guys had a good price and quick delivery thanks

There are a few that because the plastic insert are not precise, we had to insert a shim to make a good connection. Also, it needs a pull handle on the other side so you can pull out of truck equally. We need something more durable and easier to use all day. Good if you only have to touch once a day. We are using multiple trailers all day.

I purchased this trailer connector to build a wiring harness for an older boat trailer that has a non-standard wiring layout. I have a much older Pollak 7-pole connector for another trailer, and this new one appears to be identical in every respect, including quality. It is good to see consistency over the years.

really not sure now after a year how it all went down...I think I ended up using it for my trailer b/c I had to chop off the molded plug that came with my trailer to do a upfit and consequently needed a new plug. Still in use so I guess it's doing it's job.

The wire lock swivels even after being tight on the wire. The terminals are cheap and bent and twist when tightening. I bought the metal one thinking the quality misht be better. It does not seem like it.

Connector connector doesn't rust, break, corroded and terminal don't short out like the plastic ones do.

Only "metal" plug end I've found. The plastic ones don't hold up. I've used many types to no avail. So went with this. Wish it was a stainless housing though. The plastic pin casing is only held in by one set screw on one side, so it sits very loosley in the housing. We'll see how it holds up to time and use.

- How Long Is the Pollak Metal 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector Part # PK12702The Pollak Metal 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector part # PK12702 is 2-3/4" long from the face to the rubber boot on the back. This is currently the shortest trailer connector we offer so if you still do not have enough room you might want to consider moving the frame bracket for the weight distribution system just a bit. The frame brackets usually have a range that they can be installed in rather than a set point anyhow.
