Choosing Between White Painted Wheel And Galvanized Wheel For Boat Trailer

Question:

For a boat trailer which wheel finished is preferred? I am replacing tires/wheels on a boat trailer for a 12foot aluminum boat. Thanks!

For a boat trailer, the best finish is going to be galvanized. The Kenda 5.70-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" White Wheel - 4 on 4 - Load Range C # AM30120 that you were looking at may work fine, but I don't recommend it for boat trailers since the wheels will see a lot of water. The Kenda 5.70-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" Galvanized Wheel - 4 on 4 - Load Range C # AM30130 is going to hold up better and resist rust better than the white painted wheel. I attached a demonstration video for you to check out.

Any other options in this size?

@Nick I'm assuming you're meaning a 5.70-8 tire size mounted on a wheel with a 4-on-4 bolt pattern. If that's the case, a white powder coated or a galvanized wheel is available. In a white wheel, the following are available: • Load Range B, 715 lb capacity per tire, part # AM30080 • Load Range C, 910 lb capacity per tire, part # AM30120 For a galvanized wheel: • Load Range B, 715 lb per tire # AM30090 • Load Range C, 910 lb per tire # AM30130 We hope that helps!
