A close up image shows the ARK XO Series jack's Max Moving Height

Note: Do not use this jack to move your trailer if it's extended past this "max moving height" line.

Designed in the Outback for all-terrain use, this rugged jack is equipped to handle just about anything, from moving your boat trailer to accompanying you on off-roading adventures. You'll appreciate the smooth operation and adjustability for everyday use just as much as you'll enjoy the special features designed for extreme use. From jobsites to campsites, the Ark Xtreme trailer tongue jack will work for you.

Easily Move Your Trailer over Any Terrain

Ark Jack All Terrain

Dual steel wheels with rubber tires provide increased surface area for smooth, steady travel. The rubber tires can cruise over rocks without breaking or getting flat spots, and the tread helps prevent sliding in wet conditions. The overall strength and durability of these wheels also keep them from stalling in sand or light mud.

Ark Jack Dual Wheels

Sealed bearings act as bushings to hold the wheels in line on the cross shaft. This is an improvement over traditional plastic jack wheels, which often have just a bolt going through them, providing very little stability and causing the wheels to wobble, lock up, and drag over time.

Ark Jack Steel Sturdy Body

The heavy-duty, durable design of this jack lets you take your trailer off-road, over rough terrain, and through various climates. The sturdy steel, square body provides increased side-load capacity and superior strength, and limits play between the tubes. And the corrosion- and rust-resistant zinc finish offers a 600-hour salt spray rating to withstand wet or rainy conditions. The built-in grease zerk lets you lubricate the internal screw when necessary for continued smooth operation over time.

Safe, Easy, Out-of-the-Way Positioning for Travel

Ark Jack Magnetic Handle

A sturdy magnet is built into the jack's easy-to-grip crank handle for secure attachment of the jack crank. The handle detaches easily to store away and prevent hang-ups while traveling, yet it's strong enough to stay put while you're cranking the jack up and down.

The removable handle might also deter would-be trailer thieves. After all, who wants to take a trailer if they can't get the jack to work?

Ark Jack Swivel Design

The convenient, side-mounted swivel pin has an easy-to-grip handle, making it fast and simple to swing the jack down for use or up alongside your trailer tongue for travel.

Ark Jack Yoke Locking Wheel

The yoke latch at the bottom of the jack offers 5 positions to hold the wheels in place. This allows you to tailor the configuration of the stowed jack to suit your needs. So if you have anything mounted on your trailer tongue that the wheels might hit if they're positioned upright, you can lock them in place facing down instead. If you're off-roading and traveling through rough terrain where you might have issues with ground clearance, just lock them upright. This locking feature also keeps the wheels from swinging around while you drive, which will help to ensure that the bearings don't wear out prematurely.

Fast, Easy Setup with Minimal Cranking

A hand reaches for the sidewind handle on the Ark jack

Once you've arrived at your destination, setting up is a breeze thanks to the quick-release jack tube on the Ark Extreme jack. Just tug the spring-loaded handle to quickly drop the jack tube to your desired height. This handle allows you to set the jack in 1 of 4 positions. Once you have it as close to the ground as it will go, just rotate the crank handle on the front of the jack to fine-tune the height.

Having the ability to drop the jack tube in this manner means that you won't need a drop leg or space fillers like blocks or bricks. And far less cranking is needed to get the jack into position, which will you save you both time and effort.

When you're ready to pack up and hit the road again, hitch the trailer back up to your vehicle, retract the jack's inner tube using the crank, and reposition the jack back alongside your trailer tongue.

How to Determine the Lift Capacity You Need in a Jack

A trailer jack lifts your trailer high enough at the tongue to allow you to couple it with your vehicle. Usually, your tongue weight is about 10-15% of your gross trailer weight (GTW). For example, a 10,000-lb trailer has a tongue weight of 1,000 lbs to 1,500 lbs. To raise the tongue of a trailer this size, you'd need a jack that can handle a static load of no less than 1,500 lbs. And, yes, it's okay to have a jack with a weight rating that is higher than your trailer's tongue weight. In fact, a jack with a higher capacity should operate more efficiently, allowing you to spend less time cranking and more time camping.

Ok, I should have bought this a long time ago. On a recent trip to Baja we got stock and needed to move the Trailer. No way in the sand with that other wheel. It was also impossible for my partner to stow.

This thing is awesome, solid mount, ball bearings in the double wheels, easy to position and stow. Two minor complaints, the handle is magnetic and does not attach solidly, so a possible losable item on a trip. also the bearings are not sealed in any way so I am a bit worried about dirt getting in. So we will see how this holds up long term but so far it was definitely worth spending the extra money. After all, you really do get what you pay for with some of this cheap stuff.

Do not use the Ark 500 trailer jack on boat trailers that are exposed to salt water!
The product info says that jack has been tested for 600 hours of salt spray, well it didn't work out that way for me.
I purchased this jack ~ 18 months ago, so it is out of the 1 year warranty period, to my dismay. This is a very expensive trailer jack, and I was hoping it would last longer.
I thoroughly rinse my boat and trailer in fresh water after each outing. I kept grease topped up in the fitting. Now the jack is getting very hard to crank, gears are binding, and rust is running down the the jack extension leg.
I am going to have to replace the Ark 500 jack with another product, as the day is coming where this jack will not crank any more.
I am very disappointed at the short life of this product, and the short warranty period.

I reached out to the manufacturer who advises that it is important to dry the metal on the jack after rinsing it with fresh water. You can use a silicone spray on the jack as the spray does not dry sticky. Salt water with any jack is difficult to combat.

heavy duty, well made, with the better design it should hold up in better than my last jack,

by:

LThe installation for my non-standard application was easy. The features worked as I had hoped so I ordered another one!

by:

I had heard the reviews of the 'off-road' trailer guys singing its praises, so for this much money it better live up to the hype. Well, it does. Not only is it heavy duty, but the options that allow it to store, extend etc.... make it a great purchase. I installed mine on a oversize teardrop trailer that will not be going off-road much, but I got sick of those other trailer jacks not wanting to turn the wheel and just dragging it sideways when the camp area is not perfectly level/firm. Won't happen with this one due to the design of the wheel mount. One downside is that is heavier than any jack I have had before, but that is the price of a well built unit, so I can live with that.

One interesting feature is that the raise/lower handle is magnetized on, so it doesn't catch on anything during transport. Sure enough, the first time using it, I left it for a 2 hour highway drive home and it was still there. whew.

All things considered, I am very happy with this purchase, even with the premium price.

Upgraded the swing-up jack on my Tribe Trailer Basecamp. Installation required rotating the Xtreme mounting plate 90 degrees and drilling two new mounting holes on the Tribe Trailer bracket. The Xtreme is a big upgrade in quality to the stock Basecamp swing-up jack. Most important the trailer is now very easy to move across slightly uneven gravel / dirt terrane. Pleased with the purchase.

by:

Super strong and smooth as butter! I needed to get longer bolts but otherwise the installation was very easy.

by:

The XO500 was an excellent upgrade to the stock trailer jockey wheel on my Off Grid Trailer. It's much sturdier and far easier to swing the trailer around--especially when off road. This was an easy bolt-on solution to the existing jack mounts (and bolts) with no drilling required.

by:

Very adjustable jack, great wheel, and gets out of the way when you need it most. Love ark products. Highly recommended.

by:

Wow, this jack is the real deal! Love the flexibility of mounting the plate veritcal or horizontal. I chose horizontal to get more plate flat to the trailer frame. Added some 1/4" galv. plate on the back side of the frame to give the brake line clearance from being pinched. This jack is so worth it!!!

by:

etrailer was very prompt with shipping and made for an easy transaction. Had to buy my own installation nuts and bolts as the ones provided are too short and the blue cap on the jack was smashed during shipping. Not a huge deal I suppose. Overall the jack looks to be nice and sturdy and a solid product.

by:

This jack is so much better than my previous one. Night and day.

by:

Very pleased with prompt shipping and the product itself. This is exactly what I needed for my teardrop trailer now I can move it around all by myself, over any sort of terrain. No more worries about not backing up to hitch perfectly.

by:

Easy to install and enables my trailer easy to be moved in any direction! Just what I’ve been looking for

by:

Installed easily on my boat trailer. seems very heavy duty and ready for launching my boat next month.
The magnet for the handle has a tendency to come out and attach itself to other metal things when not installed on the jack.

by:

The shipping box was damaged in transit, however the tongue jack was fine. It shifted around in the box. Will install when snow has melted

by:

Shipping was fast, and the product appears to be very well built.

by:

This is a fantastic product, but what I have really been impressed with is the customer service of etrailer. They have been extremely helpful, efficient, and friendly. I will be purchasing all of my trailer parts from them in the future. I highly recommend them.

Actually, I have had to replace this wheel jack. The gears in the top of the unit broke or wore down but somehow they would not turn. Then the main shaft above the wheel got bent from rolling it while mostly extended because we could not crank it in. I do not think that the gears are beefy enough.

by:

Purchased this jack because I roll my boat in and out of garage and I added tongue weight adding bigger trolling motor and steps for trailer. Not sure whether my other jack could handle the weight. The Extreme jack can handle the weight but hasn’t made it any easier rolling boat in and out of garage. It’s a lot smoother with the rubber wheels but they don’t flip around any easier than my other jack when trying to change directions.

by:

An easy replacement for Off Grid Trailers Expedition and Pando 2.0 models. The heavier XO750 requires mount modifications, but the 500 pretty much bolts right on. The dual wheels provide a nice large contact patch.

by:

I needed this for launching and landing my sailboat using a 20-foot cable between my truck and trailer. This jack worked perfectly to use as the trailer was able to go much deeper on the ramp. I couldn't be more pleased with its performance. I would buy it again and I would recommend it to a friend. The trailer/sailor market has been needing this double-duty trailer jack.

by:

Works great on all surface, the dual wheels help so much. The crank and swing both are still working fine and lifts high enough that I don't need to use a block to reach my truck hitch.

by:

I called etrailer and spoke with Karen. I was looking for replacement wheels for my trailer jack that unfortunately came dislodged from the lock position and was dragged across some miles. Unfortunately, there is no replacement wheels available. Karen searched and searched for replacement with no luck. I ended up purchasing a new trailer jack with Karen’s help. Thanks Karen. Trailer jack is installed and working perfect.

by:

The best! This jack rolls smooth through sand, mud, gravel and snow with no problem. This purchase has made our camping trips easier where our old jack used to get stuck and have to be dragged along.
If you want to upgrade your swing up jack, this is the one you want!

by:

Very disappointed w/mounting kit provided. The 3" bolts supplied were 1" too short to mount unit on my 3" square trailer tongue. Extra time, money, patience + frustration were required on an already expensive item that should have come better equipped with 4" minimum length bolts. Otherwise seems like a well engineered product.
