Hi everyone, Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at this replacement top cap for your Ark Extreme off-Road Trailer Jacks. Now this will work with a variety of different part numbers, so be sure to use our product description and look at those part numbers listed below and see if this matches up with the one that you have at home. Now, this will be a direct replacement for the top cap on your jack and why you might wanna replace this is if it's become damaged, this is the piece that covers up all the gears inside, so you wanna keep that covered up and protected, or maybe you remove yours and had to do some maintenance on the inside, and when you went to go put it back on, realized that maybe some of the plastic had chipped out on the edges and it had become damaged. Well, a replacement's an easy way to get that all fixed. Grab yourself a bit driver, a socket wrench, something with 1/4" socket to take those screws out.

And there's gonna be one on each side (tool buzzes) that will just pop out. We'll just remove and we can pop the new one in. The new one will drop in. It does not include hardware, so you'll need to reuse your old hardware. In our case, we actually fought with the original screws quite a bit and then ended up just replacing them with some short self-tapping screws that happened to be the exact same bolt head size, and those worked out well for us.

It's a really easy process to get it replaced, and we just wanted to show you how to do it and talk to you about why you might need to. Again, it's the piece that's really covering up all the internals and keeping it protected from the elements. So if you want your jack to keep operating smoothly, it's probably a good idea to look into replacing it if yours has become damaged.
