Designed in the Outback for all-terrain use, this rugged jack is equipped to handle just about anything, from moving your boat trailer around in your garage, to accompanying you on off-roading adventures. You'll appreciate the smooth operation and adjustability for everyday use just as much as you'll enjoy the special features designed for extreme use. From jobsites to campsites, the Ark Extreme trailer tongue jack will work for you.

Easily Move Your Trailer in Tight Quarters

Ark Ratcheting Jack Gear Knobs

The ratcheting feature on this jack lets you move your trailer in small, precise increments, which is ideal when working in tight spaces like your garage. Two of the three knobs located at the base of the jack allow you to adjust the direction of the wheel. Pull each knob, one at a time, and turn it to the desired direction - forward or reverse - until both knobs are locked in the same position. The third knob holds the removable ratcheting handle in place. Once you've set the direction of the wheel, just push down and pull up on the handle in a repetitive motion to move the jack in the direction set.

Ark Jack Wheel Positions

With both gears in the neutral position you can move your trailer freely in any direction without using the ratcheting handle. To move your trailer forward, set both knobs to F and ratchet. To move in reverse, set both knobs to R and ratchet. You can also set one knob in the forward position and the other in reverse to lock the wheel. This will prevent the wheel from turning and act as a brake to keep your trailer in place.

Large Steel Wheel Built for All-Terrain Use

Ark Jack Wheel

The large 10" steel wheel with rubber tire provides smooth, steady travel. The tire can cruise over rocks without breaking or getting flat spots, and the tread helps prevent sliding in wet conditions. The overall size and durability of this wheel also keeps it from stalling in sand or light mud.

A sealed bearing acts as a bushing to hold the wheel in line on the cross shaft. This is an improvement over traditional plastic jack wheels, which often have just a bolt going through them, providing very little stability and causing the wheel to wobble, lock up, and drag over time.

Ark Jack Steel Body

The durable design of this jack lets you take your trailer off-road, over rough terrain, and through various climates. The sturdy steel, square body provides increased side-load capacity and superior strength, and limits play between the tubes. And the corrosion- and rust-resistant zinc finish offers a 600-hour salt spray rating to withstand wet or rainy conditions. The built-in grease zerk lets you lubricate the internal screw when necessary for continued smooth operation over time.

Safe, Easy, Out-of-the-Way Positioning for Travel

Ark Jack Magnetic Handle

A sturdy magnet is built into the jack's easy-to-grip crank handle for secure attachment of the jack crank. The handle detaches easily to store away and prevent hang-ups while traveling, yet it's strong enough to stay put while you're cranking the jack up and down.

Ark Jack Swiveling Bracket

The convenient, side-mounted swivel pin has an easy-to-grip handle, making it fast and simple to swing the jack down for use or up alongside your trailer tongue for travel.

The latch at the bottom of the jack holds the wheel in place. This locking feature keeps the wheel from swinging around while you drive, which will help to ensure that the bearing doesn't wear out prematurely.

Fast, Easy Setup with Minimal Cranking

Ark Jack Spring Loaded Handle

Once you've arrived at your destination, setting up is a breeze thanks to the quick-release jack tube on the Ark Extreme jack. Just tug the spring-loaded handle to quickly drop the jack tube to your desired height. This handle allows you to set the jack in 1 of 4 positions. Once you have it as close to the ground as it will go, just rotate the crank handle on the front of the jack to fine-tune the height.

Having the ability to drop the jack tube in this manner means that you won't need a drop leg or space fillers like blocks or bricks. And far less cranking is needed to get the jack into position, which will you save you both time and effort.

When you're ready to pack up and hit the road again, hitch the trailer back up to your vehicle, retract the jack's inner tube using the crank, and reposition the jack back alongside your trailer tongue.

How to Determine the Lift Capacity You Need in a Jack

A trailer jack is designed to lift the tongue of your trailer so you can connect the trailer coupler to your hitch ball. To do this, you'll need a jack with a lift capacity high enough to handle your trailer's tongue weight.

Tongue weight is the amount of weight that your trailer applies to the back of your tow vehicle. Typically, your tongue weight should be 10-15% of your total trailer weight (trailer + cargo). In other words, a 10,000-lb trailer would have a tongue weight between 1,000 lbs and 1,500 lbs. For a trailer this size, you would need a jack with a lift capacity of at least 1,500 lbs.

It's okay to have a jack with a weight rating that is higher than your trailer's tongue weight. In fact, a jack with a higher lift capacity should operate more efficiently, allowing you to spend less time cranking and more time camping.

Trailer and Camper Jack Lift

Every jack offers a certain amount of lift or travel. Screw travel is the distance the jack extends when you crank it (or toggle it to "extend" on an electric model). Some jacks include a drop leg for extra adjustability. On these jacks, you'll see the maximum extension of the drop leg listed in the specs as well. Adding the screw travel and drop leg travel together will give you the total lift. The total lift listed above can help you determine how high this jack will be able to raise your trailer.

I love this thing! Very easy to install and it makes putting my boat back in the garage soo easy. So much easier than pushing the boat. I should have bought it years ago. Was a little hesitant due to the price, but well worth it for sure!!

by:

off road product - i have a tough time rolling thru gravel - thought the tire would be more off road for campsites and gravel settings -its more for concrete -i guess i can try to change the wheel to be more as advertised

by:

I have a fifth wheel that also pulls the boat. This ratcheting Jack allows me to get the boat right up to the fifth wheel hitch with little effort. This jack has good traction on pavement but struggles a bit in grass. Still so worth it!

Still Love it. I use it all the time. It also makes moving the boat trailer in the garage a breeze.

I installed this product but I haven’t had a chance to actually try it out. I don’t want to give this a poor review, but there were three issues so far. First the mounting screws were too short for my trailer tongue. My trailer tongue is 3” wide and 4” tall. The screws were just a little longer than 3”. I had to buy 4" screws. Second, the instructions were very confusing as to how to orient the mounting plate on the trailer tongue. The video on your website shows one orientation, and the written instructions included with the product shows another. I followed the printed one. This worked fine. And lastly, I noticed that if the jack is in its lowest position, the wheel cannot swivel without hitting the blue knob on the upper ratchet control. I did not force it and nothing bad happened, but it would break this knob off if I tried to swivel the wheel with the jack in its lowest position while moving my boat.

by:

Seems like a good product but the bolts that come with it are too short to bolt to a 3”x3” tube frame. I messaged etrailer and they said “You would need to source longer bolts locally”. Description does not indicate it would work on a stand PWC trailer.

Also you need to think about which way you want to move the trailer. Straight forward and back is fine but if you want to turn the wheel one way the lever arm hits the tongue so you can jack at that angle.

I have had the Ark Extreme Off-Road Ratcheting Trailer Jack for 2 years and love it! It stows just like a normal trailer jack, but the ratcheting allows me to move it inside my garage, both for tighter storage and to align it to my truck for trailering out of the garage. I'm 79 years old and have no trouble moving a 4,000+ boat and trailer. I fish with a bass club, so it gets lots of use, so I can say it is both easy to use and built to last. One of my best purchases! I highly recommend it.

I still love this Trailer Jack! It is built to last, and last it has! Great Quality and Dependability. At my age, I could not be moving my trailer around without it. So, do I recommend it ... YES I DO!

by:

I love this jack. I move a 20ft dump trailer easily on gravel, and effortlessly around my concrete shop. What a great tool.

by:

This product works great for getting our trailer backed into a tight spot off the alley. I can only get it so close with my truck. This gets it the rest of the way. Very high quality unit! The ratcheting handle keeps it from rolling the wrong direction with a slight slope.

We still love the product, works great. The only thing I would offer for improvement is the quality of the rubber on the wheel. It seems to be disintegrating. Its a bit to soft.

by:

Love this jack wheel, it has came in handy many times turning our small travel trailer. The only down fall we had is the blue piece where the ratcheting handle inserts came off and we haven't been able to figure out how to fix it.

by:

Bracket was not as wide as my frame but seems to hold on ok. Can finally maneuver boat and trailer alone with minimal effort. Seems great but will no more with a few months use.

by:

Just put this wheel jack on. Seems like it will be amazing to use. The wheel is about twice the diameter of my old cheap one. Quality product.

I just received the Extreme Off-Road Ratcheting Trailer Jack w/ Wheel - Sidewind - 10" Lift yesterday. (May 16th, 2020). I installed the trailer jack yesterday. Installation was very straight forward. The frame rail of the my car trailer is 4 inches wide at the point where I installed the jack. The recess in the jack mounting bracket for the frame rail was designed for something less than than a 4 inch frame rail. After looking at this recess in the jack bracket and seeing the 4 bolt heads that that protrude into the recessed area of the jack bracket area I do not know why the engineer bothered to make this recess because the 4 bolt heads are what make contact to the trailer frame rail not the surface of the recessed jack bracket. To secure this trailer jack to the frame rail properly IT MUST BE WELDED ON. THIS BOLT ON JACK BRACKET IS A JOKE! I plan on keeping and using this jack because of all the other great attributes and quality of construction this jack has. After I am convinced that this trailer jack will work properly in this location I will weld the bracket to the frame.

The recess in the back of the jack is designed to accommodate the bolt heads while the mount is what contacts the trailer frame. This jack is designed to bolt to trailer tongues ranging from 2 inches - 6 inches, so it is designed to fit your 4 inch trailer tongue. If the bolts, not the mount, make contact with the mounting bracket in one orientation, do the bolts still make contact if the mounting bracket is rotated 90 degrees? The jack can be installed with the mount in either the horizontal or vertical direction.

I just installed the trailer jack with wheel- very well made/ heavy duty. the bracket did not fit easily on my Aluma trailer- i needed to drill some holes to make it work- the directions are pretty basic- so I needed to do some 'messing' around to make it work- but it is now installed and I LOVE IT- I think it will work out great.

by:

This jack is STRONG! I like how you can stow it away in a position where the lowest part is the free spinning wheel. I regularly take my trailer off-road and thoroughly destroyed the jack that came with the trailer after hitting it a few times. This one takes the beatings and keeps on rolling.

This is a one of a kind product that you will find hard to match. Our driveway has a slight incline, and our extra garage for our boat is at an angle and size (small) that we can't simply back the boat in with our vehicle. Pushing the boat up the incline was not possible by myself. So I was looking for a jack the would work. I tried one of those small motorized jacks with no luck (not enough power). Then I found this ratcheting jack. It works great! I could slowly ratchet my boat up the driveway, and then easily angle it into my small garage. The jack is also very useful when connecting to my vehicle as I can ratchet/move the boat/trailer into place instead of trying to back my vehicle into the exact spot.
When I had one small incident of a plastic knob coming off, the company sent a replacement jack (free of charge). Excellent service/support of their products.
The one suggestion I gave to the company for a future update of their jack would be for them to add a brake feature. As I pull our boat out of the garage down the slope of our driveway, the boat starts rolling down towards me. It would help to have a brake feature on the jack to slow/stop the boat as it's moving on it's own.
I would highly recommend!

by:

It was the best thing I did in getting this jack

by:

My boat is Heavy and was difficult to move in my garage, this jack cured all of my problems. I Love It, and I also like the fact that you can remove the jack handle easily so people can't jack it up and steal your trailer at the boat ramp. One of the best investments I have ever made.

by:

Great product for my needs . I just needed to move my boat & trailer up my driveway about 15 feet . Did not want to spend hundreds of dollars & worry about my drill bucking and possibly hurting my wrist with a motorized model.

by:

Absolutely the best trailer jack in the market

by:

Received a broken and obviously used and returned product in a significantly damaged box. Unusable

It’s exactly what I needed to maneuver my trailer signed handed with safety and ease. So glad I finally found it. Solid purchase I recommend these guys

by:

Well constructed product, it should work for my application.

by:

Exactly as advertised and as the video showed.

I used to maneuver my dual-axle boat trailer with a traditional jack and muscle power, but now in my mid-fifties, and the boys now grown and out of the home, this ratcheted jack was well worth what was paid. It allows me to continue to move the trailer prior to or after attachment to my truck. The key is the solid rubber tire which provides decent gripping power on my concrete garage floor. There is some slippage here and there, but thats the problem with dual axle trailers. This makes it do-able. Well worth it. I just hope that it lasts a replaceable wheeltire would be a nice option down the road.

On year 1, still working! It is permanently installed on my RV. During towing, it wont tilt all the way horizontally due to other gear so holding it at an angle with an elastic ties. The rubber wheel is starting to show wear signs after manuevering my trailer in and out of a very tight spot so may need to be replaced soon. The blue cranking handle broke off due to the pin coming loose so just holding it in while cranking for now. I would still recommend this.
