Recommended Swivel Trailer Jack with Rubber Tires That Offers 12+ Inches of Lift

Question:

I am looking for a boat trailer jack for our 17ft Montauk. We want a jack with a wheel that swivels and rolls very well on rough asphalt and on a sloping driveway with lines in the concrete. I think it must have a rubber or pneumatic tire. What do you suggest? We are also looking for 12 or more of lift to help it drain when backed into our driveway.

We have several jacks that fit most of the parameters you mentioned, but the challenge was finding one with a rubber tire. The ARK Extreme Off-Road Ratcheting Trailer Jack, part # ORJW1SU would absolutely check all the boxes. It's not an inexpensive choice, but it offers all the features you're looking for.

The jack can handle boat/trailer combinations with up to a 770 lb tongue weight, which is plenty for a boat trailer like your Boston Whaler Montauk. The jack provides up to 10 inches of lift, but the jack can be height adjusted so the pivot point can be as tall as 31 inches when storing the trailer or 24 inches when moving the trailer.

The jack also features a ratcheting wheel that lets you easily maneuver the trailer around in a garage or in its parking spot. The jack is a bolt on installation that fits trailer tongues from 2 to 6 inches tall. Finally, the jack features a 10 inch diameter wheel that makes maneuvering the trailer easier than what you'd find with smaller diameter wheels.

If you click the provided link, you can see a video where my buddy Shane runs the jack through its paces.
