You'll appreciate the smooth operation and adjustability for everyday use just as much as you'll enjoy the special features designed for extreme use. From jobsites to campsites, the removable Ark Extreme trailer tongue jack will work for you.

Easily Move Your Trailer Over Any Terrain

Ark Jack All Terrain

Dual steel wheels with rubber tires provide increased surface area for smooth, steady travel. The rubber tires can cruise over rocks without breaking or getting flat spots, and the tread helps prevent sliding in wet conditions. The overall strength and durability of these wheels also keep them from stalling in sand or light mud.

Ark Jack Dual Wheels

Sealed bearings act as bushings to hold the wheels in line on the cross shaft. This is an improvement over traditional plastic jack wheels, which often have just a bolt going through them, providing very little stability and causing the wheels to wobble, lock up, and drag over time.

The heavy-duty, durable design of this jack lets you take your trailer off-road, over rough terrain, and through various climates. The sturdy steel, square body provides increased side-load capacity and superior strength, and limits play between the tubes. And the corrosion- and rust-resistant zinc finish offers a 600-hour salt spray rating to withstand wet or rainy conditions. The built-in grease zerk lets you lubricate the internal screw when necessary for continued smooth operation over time.

Safe, Easy, Out-of-the-Way Positioning for Travel

A sturdy magnet is built into the jack's easy-to-grip crank handle for secure attachment of the jack crank. The handle detaches easily to store away and prevent hang-ups while traveling, yet it's strong enough to stay put while you're cranking the jack up and down.

The yoke latch at the bottom of the jack offers 5 positions to hold the wheels in place. This allows you to tailor the configuration of the stowed jack to suit your needs. So if you have anything mounted on your trailer tongue that the wheels might hit if they're positioned upright, you can lock them in place facing down instead. If you're off-roading and traveling through rough terrain where you might have issues with ground clearance, just lock them upright. This locking feature also keeps the wheels from swinging around while you drive, which will help to ensure that the bearings don't wear out prematurely.

Fast, Easy Setup with Minimal Cranking

Once you've arrived at your destination, setting up is a breeze thanks to the quick-release jack tube on the Ark Extreme jack. Just tug the spring-loaded handle to quickly drop the jack tube to your desired height. This handle allows you to set the jack in 1 of 4 positions. Once you have it as close to the ground as it will go, just rotate the crank handle on the front of the jack to fine-tune the height.

Having the ability to drop the jack tube in this manner means that you won't need a drop leg or space fillers like blocks or bricks. And far less cranking is needed to get the jack into position, which will you save you both time and effort.

When you're ready to pack up and hit the road again, hitch the trailer back up to your vehicle, retract the jack's inner tube using the crank, and reposition the jack back alongside your trailer tongue.

How to Determine the Lift Capacity You Need in a Jack

A trailer jack is designed to lift the tongue of your trailer so you can connect the trailer coupler to your hitch ball. To do this, you'll need a jack with a lift capacity high enough to handle your trailer's tongue weight.

Tongue weight is the amount of weight that your trailer applies to the back of your tow vehicle. Typically, your tongue weight should be 10-15% of your total trailer weight (trailer + cargo). In other words, a 10,000-lb trailer would have a tongue weight between 1,000 lbs and 1,500 lbs. For a trailer this size, you would need a jack with a lift capacity of at least 1,500 lbs.

It's okay to have a jack with a weight rating that is higher than your trailer's tongue weight. In fact, a jack with a higher lift capacity should operate more efficiently, allowing you to spend less time cranking and more time camping.

Trailer and Camper Jack Lift

Every jack offers a certain amount of lift or travel. Screw travel is the distance the jack extends when you crank it (or toggle it to "extend" on an electric model). Some jacks include a drop leg for extra adjustability. On these jacks, you'll see the maximum extension of the drop leg listed in the specs as well. Adding the screw travel and drop leg travel together will give you the total lift. The total lift listed above can help you determine how high this jack will be able to raise your trailer.

Video Transcript for Ark Removable Xtreme Off-Road Swing-Up Trailer Jack Review

What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the Extreme Removal Off-Road Jack from Ark. It's gonna be a heavy-duty jack that can take on a lot of terrain. Let's check it out. These trailer jacks are gonna be great for moving your trailer a little bit. So it's strong enough to hold up to...

Maybe you're on a gravel parking lot, or a pavement parking lot. You can't really get those plastic wheels to move it easily. It's got a dual wheel set up with treads. So if you do need to maneuver your trailer just a little bit, you can, by hand. It's gonna make it a lot easier to move it around in those tighter spots.

While not an everyday situation, it is also built for off-road, so it can handle various terrains because of the treads on the tires. So maybe you get your trailer stuck somewhere. You have to disconnect the vehicle, get the vehicle unstuck, and then pull the trailer to safety. This jack's gonna be able to handle it. You can also remove the jack completely, which is gonna be nice when you have it hooked up to the vehicle.

If it's just in the way, you can remove it, set it in the trailer, then you have nothing hanging down, or added onto the side of the trailer. Now you can also flip it up and put it up to the side. You get it out of the way, just the same. It's got a magnetic handle. That way you can attach it or detach it when you need to.

(handle clicks) It slides right on. And it's really easy to turn the crank to lower or raise the trailer up. The grip gives you plenty to grab onto with some grip on there as well. So it's not just one of those plastic handles that rotates. You actually have something to get those good turns on there so you can raise or lower it as quickly as possible. Now there are other options. You have the drop foot too, so you can set it pulling this pin here, and quickly move the jack so there's gonna be less cranking overall. The jack is gonna be made out of a sturdy steel construction with a black powder coat finish. Now it also has a static weight capacity, which means not moving, of 1,650 pounds. It's gonna have a dynamic weight capacity of 1,100 pounds. So just keep that in mind when you're loading up the trailer. Now the jack's gonna give you a maximum lift of 17 11/16 inches. So that's how much you have to work with, with your trailer. There is gonna be a maximum height to where you can move this trailer. So you see the line is gonna be marked on the inside of the jack. That way you can always check to make sure it's okay to move. When installing your jack, it might help to go ahead and remove it from the plate. It's gonna be less in your way when you go to tighten everything down. So make sure you put the plate up against the tongue of the trailer so your instruction's on the proper ways to mount it to the trailer. We're gonna go sideways with it here because it lines up better, we want the bolts to be close to the top of the tongue of the trailer. You see how we lined up that back bracket. I got these hand tightened and I'm gonna show you how to do the backside here, and we want to drop this down, (lever clanging) and put it around the toolbox. You want the second hole from the top to line up with the side there. (bracket clanging) Put that in position. And the nice thing about the channels is it's gonna hold that bolt head, so you don't have to hold that when you go to tighten it down, that'll help hold it in place when you go to tighten this down evenly. So with that top one in place, you're going to thread on the nut by hand. (nut scuffing) Just to help us hold it. And then we're gonna line up that bottom bolt as well. So we're gonna go for the second one, or the most bottom one, it lines up with our bracket on the back. That's okay. Go around here, (bolt clanging) put our bolt through, lines up. You see it comes down a little bit, but when we tighten it up, it'll be nice and tight up against that tongue. That way we can trust the jack when we go to use it. Run those down. I'll come back with the 3/4 inch socket, and tighten it down evenly. So when I hold the plate up against there, make sure it's right where I want it, and then run 'em down. (screwdriver whirring) Now make sure you check, and the plates are all flat against the side of the tongue. You can see it's making contact at all these points so I know that it's sturdy. Now we're gonna attach the jack. (jack thumps) It just slides into place, add our pin. (pin clanging) I'm gonna attach the handle. It's magnetic so it's really easy to put on there and take off. And we'll lower it so we can lift the trailer off the jack stands. And you wanna watch that plate to make sure it doesn't shift or move on you, but it's on there nice and tight, so it's not going anywhere. Overall, I do like this jack. I like that it has the dual wheel set up with the treads on there not just a plastic wheel that's gonna drag sometimes in the parking lot. And the fact that I don't have to hook up to the truck just to move the trailer a little bit. This can handle that, and off-road situations too. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out. I hope this helped.

Success. I wanted to replace a flimsy trailer jack on my off road trailer and was excited to see the reviews of this jack. I was looking for strength and toughness first and foremost and boy does this deliver! The pictures and videos don't do it justice. Until you see this in person and give it a heft - it's burly! I went for the tube mount version as I was hoping it would work with my existing tube. That wasn't the case as the pin and holes are larger than what I had. Fortunately, the mounting plate saved the day and I was able to position it further down my tongue and still have clearance to swing it up. Well done ARK for having the tube mount be reversible so there is a high/low position depending on what works for your setup. Great piece of kit!

I always use the lawn mower to put the trailer back yard behind the shed. The couple times a year the lawn mower goes to the shop, this let me move it fairly easy through the gravel!

by:

I think the ARK trailer jack is great, bullet-proof product, but the documentation stinks. Don't try to put the wheels and bearing and washers together without some kind of sticky grease handy. Figuring out the installation schematics was an adventure. When using the drop handle, watch out for pinched fingers. In fact, wear gloves when operating.

by:

Excellent product… So much easier to use than the one I replaced.

by:

As advertised.
Heavy duty.
It would
be nice if the supplied bolts were long enough to mount the plate that attaches to the trailer.
So, off to Ace Hardware in the morning.
As always, the Folks at E Trailer are the best.
Extraordinary customer service and knowledgeable.

by:

Sturdy construction. Perfect fit on my extreme off-road trailer.

this is my 2nd XO jack that has failed on me. The 2 pins that prevent the jack from rotating have small spot welds that broke. This failure would allow the jack to collapse. Why they do not have proper full welds is unclear to me given the cost of this product. They offered to RMA it but at my expense to ship back to them which was far more expensive than having a local welder fix it.

by:

Dual wheels roll easily, even on a gravelly surface. Wide range of lift heights adjusts to various terrains. Download the installation instructions to sort out the metric manufacturing dimensions versus inch measurements of your trailer frame. Worked great on the 2.5" wide, 4" high frame of my US made, bolt together, aluminum frame trailer kit. Worth every penny.

by:

What a beast! I just installed it and can't believe how much of a difference it made right off the bat. The versatility of this jack will pay for itself while disbursed camping, or at a campground. Thanks to the etrailer team for a quick response time from ordering to shipping.

I now own 3 of these in different sizes. I started with a 500 series on my utility trailer but needed something a little beefier to hold up under weight in the trailer when I drag it through the lawn, which is why I got the 750. I had a 350 on my 16' boat trailer but now swapped it out with a 500 that was on my utility trailer. All are made tough, well designed and can take punishment. I wouldn't go with anything different at this point. Show me a trailer jack that's better than this!

by:

This trailer jack is truly "extreme". I was looking for an over-built one that I could count on to take some abuse. This one is perfect. The pins have extra strong springs. The back plate is extra thick. Even though I didn't need to use them, the bolts and brackets it came with are extra beefy. The wheels are extra strong. Basically everything about this jack is completely [awesome]!

My favorite feature is the removable magnetic crank handle. It clicks into place with authority and stows in my tongue box. Also, it looks great too. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat...only thing I'd do different is get it sooner. I put up with the wimpy OEM trailer jack far too long.

by:

Jack works exactly as advertised and perfect fit for my unique application. Etrailer chat service was instrumental in this successful purchase. Etrailer installation video also very useful.

by:

A year later and still happy with the purchase. I have to hand push my trailer around often. This wheel makes turbs a vreeze while pushing it.

by:

Just what I was looking for. A great heavy duty jack with wheels that roll and swivel like butter. My dual Sea-Doo trailer is heavy with both big skis on it. The Xtreme jack with dual ball bearing wheels and slick swiveling caster are what I purchased the unit for. They make it a whole lot easier pushing the trailer in and out of the shop. Remember, you get what you pay for. This trailer jack will not disappoint.

by:

Tremendous! This was a great upgrade to the OEM wheel jack. Removing the old one and installing this one by myself took maybe 90 minutes. It took a combination wrench, a socket wrench and a torque wrench.

by:

I love this thing! Very easy to install and it makes putting my boat back in the garage soo easy. So much easier than pushing the boat. I should have bought it years ago. Was a little hesitant due to the price, but well worth it for sure!!

by:

Ok, I should have bought this a long time ago. On a recent trip to Baja we got stock and needed to move the Trailer. No way in the sand with that other wheel. It was also impossible for my partner to stow.

This thing is awesome, solid mount, ball bearings in the double wheels, easy to position and stow. Two minor complaints, the handle is magnetic and does not attach solidly, so a possible losable item on a trip. also the bearings are not sealed in any way so I am a bit worried about dirt getting in. So we will see how this holds up long term but so far it was definitely worth spending the extra money. After all, you really do get what you pay for with some of this cheap stuff.

by:

Well made & heavy-duty with plenty of adjustment. Installed on my 37 ton Rugged Split log splitter & it is a perfect match up. Very pleased with my purchase.

by:

One year after my purchase of an Ark hitch jack for my overland camper Ii am happy to report that everything is performing perfectly.

by:

I installed my Ark750 on my small off-road camper trailer about a year ago. I was needing a trailer jack that did more than just help me more my trailer around my garage and on easy flat terrain. Found myself is a situation where heavy truck sunk in some soft/wet soil. Disconnected my trailer, got my truck out and was able to winch out my trailer with my truck with the trailer jack down. There is no way my stock trailer jack could have handled this job!
