I am attaching three photos.

In
two of the photos you can see how are the dolly hitched to both my lawn tractor and my log splitter; the reason I made the purchase.
The other photo is meant to show the topography on our property.

This trailer hitch dolly has made maneuvering the heavy full-beam splitter around the property easy, and when disconnected from the tractor I am able to move the machine with little effort; leaving me more energy reserve for splitting hauling and stacking the fire wood.

No change works as always.

It was made well enough for my needs. I use it to move my boat around which is pretty light. It is way easier than getting the lawn mower out and trying to move it around that way. I wish the little leg had an end cap so it wouldn’t sink into the ground. Everything else was great. Maybe if the ball was higher on the dolly, I would be able to make sharper turns without having the tires catch on the trailer. Otherwise, it has been great. I pull the boat behind the camper and when we get home, my wife can use the dolly to pull the boat to where we park it while I back the camper down the drive way. Previously, we had to go get the mower and make wide turns and it was a bit of a nightmare. We had to move the boat before I backed the camper in. Our driveway is approximately 175’ and the parking is tight. The dolly really improved the situation and saves us time.

Still working great!

The good points. The wheels have inner tubes, the wheels have ball bearings, it comes with a hitch ball, it works fine. The bad points are one bracket welded a bit crooked, one hole drilled very crooked. I couldn't get the bolt through and had to move (elongate) the hole a half inch. Just took a bit of work.

by:

Seems to be well built. Not sure yet if it works better than a swivel caster. The force exerterted I would say is about the same wether you use the dolly or a wheel.

by:

Made a big difference. Was able to pull my 1200lb boat out of garage using this trailer dolly with my lawn tractor very easily.

by:

The product is good value for the money. Assembly was easy and the item functions as described. It enables trouble-free maneuvering of my 17' boat. Care should be taken around the handles which offer a possible pinch point - but easily avoided with modest attention.

by:

Product was built fine. Works great moving my 1600# camper around. I'm currently on lawn, and with a slight downgrade, it rolled fine.

To turn the camper (see attachment) around in place, it may be easier with two people. Time will tell.

etrailer was extremely efficient getting my order shipped. Couldn't ask for better service. Bought on a Sunday online and I received an email that my order was ready for shipment, a short time later.

by:

7 months after purchase tires were severely cracked and dry rotted. Axle holes are an odd size so replacing wheels and tires was not an easy option. 1 tire would go flat between uses from the time I bought it. Tried to get larger run flat and couldn’t get anything to fit. Finally ordered replacements at almost same cost of dolly. Works great when tires aren’t flat. Hoping new tires are better longer lasting.

Please keep in mind the MaxxTow MaxxHaul Dual Pull Trailer Dolly part MT70881 is only designed to handle a 600 lb total weight capacity. The dolly is designed for light weight small trailers. Exceeding the capacity could result in premature tire wear. The replacement wheels are part MT70225-1.

by:

This dolly works perfectly for towing a personal water craft from the back to the front yard on grass using a lawn tractor. The dolly easily connects to the lawn tractor using a drop-type magnetic hitch pin. It also attaches without having to disassemble / remove the rear bagger on the lawn tractor (yea!).

PS: The lawn tractor is a John Deere X350 with the 7-bushel rear bagging system.

Great. The purchase works exactly how I want it too.

by:

Good price for a really well built trailer dolly. Easy assembly but the instructions could use a more detailed assembly drawing. I have not used the dolly yet but I do not expect to be disappointed. It looks very sturdy and functional. Good to have the inflatable tires rather than the no-flat tires that get so many bad reviews on other similar products.

I still recommend this trailer dolly. Very useful for moving the boat in and out of a tandem garage. Need to add a warning for users to always leave the trailer jack stand in position as a backup in case user loses balance and trailer dolly slides out of place and the trailer front tongue. It happened to me once but no damage was done, fortunately!

by:

Product is well made; assembly was simple; product works well!

by:

The trailer dolly has made moving my small boat trailer and fishing kayak much easier while also saving my back. I store the trailer and kayak in the backyard and have to move them up an incline to get to the driveway. The dolly makes it a much easier task. I highly recommend it.

The trailer dolly has been terrific.

by:

Trailer dolly works as described; use it to move my 15' aluminum boat into storage shed (gravel lot). Large tires pull good across this rough surface. Would recommend to others interested in a way to move trailers around.

I use it to move my small aluminum boat around the gravel area from my shed to driveway. I works as advertised, no complaints, except as I read in another review, maybe better grips to pull on.

by:

Pretty solid product. I really like the fact you can hook it up to an ATV or even a lawnmower. Smart thinking !!!

by:

I have used the Maxxtow trailer dolly several times to move my trailer into and out of tight places this year. It would never have been possible without the dolly from etrailer. I have not had to use the extra wheel I ordered, but it is ready and available if I need it.

It is still working great whenever I need it.

by:

A great tool. I park a small camper trailer in a barn during the off season, this makes it very easy to maneuver it into the tight spot and soft ground. I've also found that it holds the weight of my 16' flatbed trailer so I can move it by hand or with the ATV. Getting it from etrailer is an added bonus, I've never been disappointed with them or the many products I've purchased through them.

still love it

Received the order in great time, assembled the unit and it will work great for moving small & medium sized trailers around my lot and in and out of my storage building with a 4 wheeler of my zero turn mower. Thank you e-trailer for once again for great products and great service, I will recommend you guys to everyone who needs the products you provide. Thank you,

Rob

Works great on small and medium trailers, not heavy enough to turn my 3500lb boat trailer into the shed, works fine going forward and straight back. Works great with my smaller single axel trailer. Good product, well made.

by:

This thing is awesome. I was able to move my nearly 2000 lb popup trailer across my short cement pad in front of my garage then into and out of the door on my own. Wish i would have purchase this years ago.

Like it better now. Moved my 1964 travel trailer across the driveway and into a parking space solo and it was a breeze. Next will be my 20 car hauler. Great product. 10 thumbs up.

by:

This dolly does the job! I was hoping the wheels would have been larger, but turns out they do the job well...even across several sand-patches at my beachhouse. Much better than the smaller, traditional size wheels. It is an over-all lighter dolly...meaning it does NOT add any weight to that which must be pulled or pushed...and that means a lot when you are moving multiple trailers OR a single trailer for a longer distance. The foldable 'kick-stand' is a blessing...no cracking one's shins against a stiff hunk of metal, especially while pushing up an incline. If I were to make a suggestion, I would want a better-gripping handle-bar. It's not necessarily a comfortable handle for raw hands. So, like other whimps across America, I put on a pair of work gloves, and the grip suddenly feels better. Oh, I forgot...one more thing: putting it together was a breeze. Your directions were easy to follow, and the dolly was up and ready within minutes! Overall, I feel it is, for me, an excellent addition to my garage in backing up my sailboats and kayaks into and out of my single-car garage. It handles everything extremely well.

by:

I receive my goods on time and in excellent condition. The box had the complete item no missing parts. It was easy to assemble, the only thing I couldn't find was the amount of pressure to put in the tires.

by:

Seems to be good quality. I like that it has a grease fitting and a removable cap to keep it oiled.
Picture attached includes dolly which was purchased at the same time

by:

I should have given this trailer caddie an "Excellent Rating." Very easy to put together.
Seems to be a sturdy product. We are using it to pull a "Pig Cooker." We use a golf cart and of course we use it manually. I do not suggest trying to back up if you are using any kind of equipment hooked up to it. Two pivot points are only good for going forwards. The ball could be about 2-4 higher. No big deal though. Otherwise this is a great little helper. Trailer jack would wear out or break from misuse without the trailer caddie. I am a Facilities Manager at a Country Club.

by:

The only reason for 4 stars is not the product, but very poor assembly instructions. It would be so helpful, like other companies do, to have a step by step procedure with drawings or photos. Yes, I guess I got it right, but not sure of the lock pin.

Edward

Well, not bad. Used it two days ago in my new tandem trailer. If course I needed help pushing trailer into garage due to a slope. Fabulous helping device.

by:

Went together well like the quality. Works good will change out to a 2" ball later. Would recommend. Like the tong feature this is one of the reasons for buying this item. Also like the real air filled tires roll a lot better than the tires that do not have the tube in them like the so called fkat free pneumatic tires. Fast delivery also.

Great I love it. Thanks!!!

I found this product well built, easy to assemble, and perfect for backing my trailers into their storage area. Though only received this week, it looks good for years of use.

See what our Experts say about this Flint Hill Goods Trailer Dolly

  • Recommended Trailer Dolly That Works With Multiple Coupler Sizes
There is an option like the Flint Hill Goods # FHG84ZR which would work with 1-7/8" and larger hitch ball couplers, but there is no dolly that'll work with a pintle hook on a trailer. The # FHG84ZR includes a 1-7/8" hitch ball, though you can replace it with a 2" hitch ball # 19258. This is limited to 600lbs of tongue weight so you really won't be using this on too large of a trailer, not to mention it would be really hard to pull much larger of a trailer anyways.

  • Can Flint Hill Goods Trailer Dolly Handle Be Collapsed or Removed
Although the grips on the # FHG84ZR handle are capable of collapsing down, the handle itself does not. However, it can be removed. Taking out the bolt and pin that connects the handle to the main body would allow you to detach the handle making it more compact for storage.

  • Manual Ball-Mount Trailer Dollies For A NuCamp T@B 320
Looks like most of that is welded in place so removing it would be a bit of a challenge. We do offer some manual trailer dollies to help maneuver your trailer around though. If you have a 1-7/8" coupler then you can use the Flint Hill Goods Trailer Dolly # FHG84ZR, which can handle up to 600lbs in tongue weight. For a 2" coupler you'd need the Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly with Chain Drive # TVXL2, which can handle up to 1,000lbs of tongue weight. This also comes with a drill bit attachment...

With the trailer only weighing 2,200lbs you'd be looking at roughly a 220lb tongue weight if the trailer was fully loaded. I have two different trailer dolly options depending on your needs. If you want a standard no-frills option the Flint Hill Goods Trailer Dolly # FHG24ZR is the correct choice for you. If you would the the ability to hook up to an ATV, lawnmower, golf cart, etc. then the Flint Hill Goods Trailer Dolly # FHG84ZR is the correct choice for you. We had both of these down...

  • Trailer Dolly Recommendation for 1,000 lb Boat on Trailer
Before swapping out dollies you may want to try to see if putting more tongue weight on your trailer would give you better traction for your Trailer Valet 5X # STC-V211. Since it sounds like you have a bit of weight at the back of the boat it could be that there isn't much pressure on the tires which is why you're having trouble. The only other option, aside from using one of the Trailer Valet remote controls like part # TVRVR3, is to use the manual Trailer Dolly # FHG84ZR. This uses a...

  • Will the Flint Hill Goods Trailer Dolly Work with a 2" Coupler
The Flint Hill Goods Trailer Dolly part # FHG84ZR will sit inside a 2" coupler but the coupler won't be able to latch so it could just pop off. If you want to use this dolly with a trailer that has a 2" coupler, I recommend replacing the 1-7/8" hitch ball with the 2" Hitch Ball part # 19258 but please keep in mind this won't increase the capacity of the dolly which is 600 lbs of tongue weight. It will really come down to how much you can physically pull.
