Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: 8 on 6-1/2 means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: 5 on 4-1/2 means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

  • Replacement Bearings for CE Smith Trailer Hub 13110
For your trailer hub with 13110 on it the correct bearing kit would be the part # BK1-100 which comes with L44643 bearings.

  • Equivalent Hub Assembly to CE Smith Trailer Hub Assembly # CE13100 with Lug Bolts Built In
The equivalent hub assembly to CE Smith Trailer Hub Assembly # CE13100 that has lug bolts built in is part # CE13110. The Inner and outer bearings (L44643) and races, and grease seal are all pre-packed in this fully assembled hub with marine-grade grease.

  • Replacement Hub For A 1949 Or 1950 TeeNee Boat Trailer With Short Spindles
I have a solution for you, but as the short spindles have not been produced for some time now, there will not be a hub that will fit them properly, unfortunately. You will need to replace the spindles with the BT8 Spindle for 2,000-lb Trailer Axles # TRU59FR. If you are or know a good welder, this can be done pretty easily, but you need to make sure the cross tube connecting the two spindles has an inner diameter of 1-3/8" (typically a 1-3/4" outer diameter). Once these are on, the CE...

  • Comparing CE Smith Trailer Hub Assemblies CE13100 and CE13110
Yes, the CE Smith Trailer Hub Assemblies # CE13100 and # CE13110 will both fit on a BT8 Spindle # TRU94FR. The only difference between these 2 hubs is the Hub Assembly # CE13100 is threaded for wheel bolts and the Hub Assembly # CE13110 has wheel studs and lug nuts.

  • Availability of Trailer Hub to Fit Older Short Spindle on Boat Trailer
If you have an older trailer with the short spindles then unfortunately we don't have any hubs that will fit. I've gone out to our warehouse and measured a handful of hubs in the past but none of them have a shorter length/height. The only option to use current hubs is to either cut off your spindle and replace it with something like part # TRU94FR so that the CE Smith Trailer Hub Assembly # CE13110 can be used, or purchase new axles entirely.

  • Replacement Hub Compatible With 09067 Outer Bearing
Unfortunately, we don't offer a hub with that bolt pattern that's compatible with that bearing set. What you have sounds like an old Hadco 3500 lb axle. At this point, your best bet would be to replace your current axle for one that's compatible with modern parts. We offer a limited selection of off-the-shelf axles that have common hub face to hub face and spring center spacing. If you'd care to respond with those measurements, I'd be happy to see if anything we carry would be a correct...

  • Is Pre-Greased etrailer Idler Hub Suitable for a Boat Trailer
The Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2K Axles # AKIHUB-440-2-EZ-1K comes with a Lithium complex, multipurpose grease which would be okay on a boat trailer but wouldn't be the best type of grease. Since you'll be using this for a boat trailer I recommend using the CE Smith Trailer Hub Assembly # CE13110 instead because it comes pre-greased as well, but it uses a heavy-duty, marine-grade grease instead so it is much more suitable for a boat application.

  • Replacement Hubs for 2006 Aliner Expedition Folding Camper with 2.5K Axle
A 2500 lb axle would typically feature a spindle that's compatible with the L44643 inner and outer wheel bearing. I'd recommend checking the bearing cages on your existing bearings for the reference number just to confirm. We offer 2500 lb capacity compatible idler hubs with a 4 on 4 or 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. For a pre-greased hub compatible with a 4 on 4, I'd recommend the # CE13110 or for a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern, use part # CE13210. The hubs are sold individually, bearings,...

  • Hub length of CE Smith Trailer 13110 and 13100
I went out to the warehouse and found that the CE Smith Trailer Hub Assembly # CE13100 measured about 4-1/4" but that was with the plastic still wrapped around it. If you took the plastic away it would probably measure closed to 4-1/8". The assembly # CE13110 that you referenced is the same exact hub with the only difference being that it uses wheels studs and the part # CE13100 uses wheel bolts.

  • Replacement Boat Trailer Hub for 1 Inch Diameter Straight Spindles
Based on your description it sounds like the hubs on your trailer take L44643 bearings which have a 1 inch inner diameter. We have pre-greased hub # CE13110 that fits that description. I have linked a video review of it for you to check out.

  • Correct 4-Lug Hub and Wheels/Tires for 1 Straight Trailer Spindle
Yes, the CE Smith Trailer Hub Assembly part # CE13110 is a fit for a trailer with a straight spindle 1" diameter which uses L44643 bearings. It has a 4 bolt pattern which will work great with an option like a Kenda 5.30-12 Bias Trailer Tire with 12" White Wheel part # AM30780. This combo uses a 5.30-12 size tire which is 22" diameter x 5.6" wide, it has a load range c rating which can be used up to 1,045 lbs.

  • Pre-Greased Hub with 4 on 4 Bolt Pattern and L44643 Bearings Already Installed
The races come pre-installed for hub # AKIHUB-440-2-1K but the bearings will need to be greased and installed manually. We do have a hub that uses the same bearings and 4-bolt pattern; # CE13110. So if you want to avoid having to grease and install the bearings yourself hub # CE13110 is an excellent option.

For a 4 on 4 I recommend the CE Smith Trailer Hub Assembly w/ Carrying Case for 2,500-lb Axles - 4 on 4 - Pre-Greased # CE13110. For 5 on 4-1/2 I recommend the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2K Axles - 13" to 15" Wheels - 5 on 4-1/2 - Pre-Greased # AKIHUB-545-2-LF-1K....

I reached out to CE Smith, who told me the Trailer Hub Assembly with Carrying Case for 2,500-lb Axles - 4 on 4 - Pre-Greased # CE13110 uses a marine grade grease similar to the LubriMatic Marine Trailer Wheel Bearing Grease # L54FR. At one point the grease was in fact red but they changed it to the greener in color grease, with the only difference being the color, as both are marine-grade. I have added a link below to a video review of this grease if you'd like to take a look.

The # TRU44FR spindle you'd looked at is compatible with an L44649 inner and outer bearing, like what's used by the # CE13109. The hub includes the inner and outer bearing and race, the grease seal, the dust cap and the lug nuts. The hub has a 4 on 4 bolt pattern.
