Always a good product

by:

works great

by:

just received and have not used it yet. I will use on all my equipment as I get ready for spring work.

by:

Worked very well. On a difficulty scale of 1-10, with 10 being the hardest, this was a 3.

by:

Keeps everything that needs lubricant on our 40ft gooseneck operating smoothly.

by:

As always fast in great condition an it works!

by:

Perfect replacement for my trailer. etrailer is only place I buy trailer related parts from. Always excellent service. Fastest shipping in the industry.

by:

Will was super helpful in tracking down the correct grease seals for my old Coleman camper. It was great to be able to talk to a live body and get real time advice. Products arrived promptly. Score another win for eTrailer.

by:

Haven’t had a chance to use the grease but it was recommended by a Rv mobile tech I know. The 5 star review is for eTrailer’s customer support. I ordered two tubes and one of them arrived with the top crushed. They sent a follow up email the day after it arrived wanting to know if I received the package and was pleased. In my reply I explained what happened and sent a pic asking if they could help. Within a week I had a new tube of grease at no cost to me! Sure don’t find customer service like that too often these days. Thanks eTrailer….you guys rock!

by:

Perfect just what I needed

by:

Just repacked bearings with new seals on my 4' x 8' folding utility trailer. Customer service was great in helping me with selecting the right parts including cotter pins. All is good now. I have been ordering from etrailer for 10 + years. Great place with great people!

good product, no issues

by:

The connection (wire to taillight) for this trailer light kit is extremely flimsy and clearly not intended for external mounting. I ended up reordering submersible tail lights to get a more rugged connection. The wiring harness is fine and the tail lights work but the connection is flimsy.

It's very inexpensive but a few dollars more for a more rugged set of lights is probably a better buy.

by:

Matched OEM perfectly

by:

First time ordering from etrailer and my experience could not have been better!! Thank you!!

by:

Its grease that works well. Notes from etrailer indicate you need one of these per wheel for filling fresh from the factory. I only needed one per axle (½ per wheel) . Looks like I have a lifetime supply of wheel grease :)

by:

Very knowledgeable and helpful. Was able to get me what I needed expeditiously and professionally. Parts arrived in a couple of days

by:

I have put over 4,000 miles on my 7,000 lb travel trailer since I replaced the bearings and lubricated them with Lubrimatic LMX grease purchased from etrailer.com.

The bearings have performed without any issues. I have since done a minor re-tightening of the bearing castle nuts. Of the 4 wheels, only one needed re-tightening.

I recommend this product without hesitation!

by:

Good Day. So I,m not quite sure what happened to my grease. The shipping box is in perfect condition, however the contents are destroyed. All 4 tubes of grease are damaged, and not useable. Again the shipping box is perfect. Kinda weird. I really need this grease to service my trailer, I had planned pre trip maintenance for today. So I guess you can see that really messes up my schedule, asI have to take the trailer out of storage, and take it to my shop for servicing. Very time consuming. Please help ! Thanks.

I just received and used the Lubrimatic LMX grease, so I can only comment that it looks like a high quality product. I did want to comment that I was using it to pack 4 Dexter 3500lbs EZ-lube spindles/bearings, and 14oz was barely adequate. I was short a couple pumps of the grease gun. So my advice is to figure on 3 spindles per tube, or maybe to be more precise: number of spindles you can do = 4 x #LMXtubes - 1. You may need some extra for maintenance in any case.

by:

was just what I expected. Now along with the Bearing Buddies I can keep the bearings on my trailer greased.

All is great with red grease and bearing buddies

by:

All parts arrived quickly and fit perfect! I bought a used car trailer few months ago and brakes quit working. Pulled drums and needed new magnets, it was missing spring on one side, prior owner must have got some bad service. E-Trialer hooked me up with all the parts, also ordered hub seals and grease and repacked bearings. Thank you !!!

by:

Grease came quickly and in time for a bearing job swap. The tube I ordered had a small ding which didn't allow me to use my grease gun but Carol and the team at eTrailer took care of me and sent out a different tube quick. Crisis adverted. Thank you much! The grease itself is of high quality and I wouldn't use anything different.

by:

You have great products except for the bearing packer- which didn’t work!

Shawnee is an excellent service rep! She was very courteous and knowledgeable! Thank you for all your help! .

by:

Picked up a few tubes of Red LMX grease for my EZ Lube hubs on my camper. They were recommended by etrailer as a good grease for wheel bearings. I have used Lubrimatic grease over the years and had good luck with it. The red color will make it easy to see when the old grease is flushed out.

  • Replacing Grease in Trailer Hub that Has Bearing Buddies
To replace the grease in a hub that has Bearing Buddies is the same as hubs with standard grease caps. You'll want to pull the hub off, remove the seal, remove the bearings and then remove the grease the "old-fashioned way". Some people will say that you can use the Bearing Buddy to push the old grease out by just continuing to pump grease into the hub but doing this will most likely cause the seal to blow out and cause issues. I attached a video link to this page that covers bearing...

  • Grease Recommendation for Boat Trailer Hub
I really like the LMX Red Grease as it is heavy duty grease which works well in high heat situations and because it is waterproof. For that the part # L11390.

  • How Many Pumps of Grease Should be Put in an Axle
Keep pumping grease into the fittings until you start to see a little grease seeping through the outer bearing. This means that you have packed as much grease as will fit into your spindle. Be sure to check that the grease isn't coming out the back of the axle though because that means you have a bad seal.

  • How to Know When to Stop Adding Grease to Dexter E-Z Lube Axles
When adding grease like the # L11390 you want to pump the grease slowly and rotate the hub. You will continue to pump the grease until you begin to see grease come out of the front. If you're replacing old grease, you will continue to pump until the new clean grease is observed.

  • Recommended Wheel Bearing Grease for Trailer
The best wheel bearing grease for trailer hubs is the Red style of grease like the part # L11390. It looks like this is what you have too since the picture shows red grease. This grease is the toughest option available and works great in trailer wheel hubs. It's also really great for marine applications as it's highly water insoluble.

  • How Much Grease Do I Need To Have In My Boat Trailer Hubs?
For a Boat Trailer I recommend filling the entire hub with LubriMatic LMX Industrial Strength Grease # L11390. This grease is highly water insoluble meaning that it will not break down with water. By filling the entire hub with grease it helps to prevent water from getting inside the hub and damaging any of the bearings or causing rust to occur inside the spindle. With having your grease zerk on the hub you can remove the grease cap to push grease throughout the entire hub and replace...

  • Best Grease Recommendation to Pump Into EZ Lube Spindle
Hey Eugene, the LMX RED grease like part # L11390 is the best option. It's the most heavy duty, waterproof, and is compatible with basically all greases. I would be cautious not to over fill the hub though as it's pretty easy to blow out seals doing this.

The highest quality grease we carry for wheel bearing is the LMX red grease like the part # L11390 that you referenced. LMX Red is heavy-duty, premium grease for the toughest lubricating jobs on the biggest, heaviest equipment. It performs better under higher pressures and temperatures than standard multi-purpose grease, and it resists water better. • Grease Recommendation for Repacking Boat Trailer
I would say to be safe you may as well remove the grease and replace it. Red grease like the part # L11390 is the heaviest duty grease we offer for trailer hubs so it is what we recommend. It's also waterproof too.

  • Recommended Grease for Wheel Bearings On Pop-Up Trailer
Our install crew really likes the LMX Industrial Strength Grease # L11390 because of its high level of water insolubility. Even when wheel bearings are exposed to water, the LMX grease stays adhered to wheel bearings and other moving parts for long lasting protection which makes it a great all-purpose grease.

  • Recommended Grease to Use for a Reese SC Weight Distribution System
To lubricate your Reese SC Weight Distribution (WD) system I highly recommend the Lubrimatic Biobased LMX Red Grease. This is an excellent grease that does a great job at resisting water and the elements. It is available in a 14-oz Cartridge # L11390. According to Reese you need to lubricate the ball mount sockets, hitch ball, and spring bar trunnions. The trunnions should be lubricated daily and when in use. You need to lubricate the upper and lower trunnion pivot pins and contact area...

  • Can LubriMatic LMX Industry Strength Grease be Used on Bearings Already Packed with Different Grease
You can certainly use the LubriMatic LMX Industrial (Red) Strength Grease # L11390 on your hub bearings but you will first want to clean the existing grease off of the bearings. There are many different grease types that are compatible with each other but there are plenty still that don't get along. If you can tell me what grease you currently have on your bearings I will be happy to verify compatibility. Even if they are compatible though, we do still recommend cleaning off any old grease...

  • Recommendation For Red Grease For Boat Trailer Bearings Passed Through Bearing Buddy
Different types of grease have different temperature and pressure limits, so I encourage you to "clean and repack" your bearings with new grease so that you have the best protection possible for your situation. I recommend Lubrimatic Biobased LMX Red Grease 14-oz Cartridge, Item # L11390. It is an eco-friendly grease that is super-adhesive, water-resistant, and works well for high-temperature and high-pressure situations. Red grease is the king honestly. I can't find where you found on our site to say otherwise for disc brakes but you'll be fine with it in your trailer hub. • Grease Recommendation for Converting Oil Bath to Grease Hubs
LMX Red grease is the highest quality grease rated for wheel bearing use. I would recommend going with that. For that you would want part # L11390. You have found the biggest drawback to oilbath hubs, if a seal goes out on a grease hub you can most likely make it home and replace it and you will be fine. With oilbath, by the time you realize the seal went out you've done damage to the hub or drum. We don't carry brake fluid, but your local auto parts store should be able to help with that.

  • How Hot Should Hubs Get After Installing New Electric Brakes And Bearings
Typically as long as you're staying at or below 200 degrees you're doing fine. The fact that one hub is hotter than the other could just mean that you had more weight over that one hub or that the brake setting was more aggressive on that hub than the others. I recommend double checking that you aren't losing any grease and you may need to possibly repack the bearings for the hotter hub with some # L11390 to ensure it's fully filled up and then playing around with the brake settings again...

  • Why Is My Dexter 12 Axle Hub Running Hot
There are many reasons why one of your hubs is running hotter than the other. We usually recommend that you work on both hubs at the same time when you are trouble shooting, this way you know that the same work was done on both hubs. I would change the oil in the right hub, since you changed the oil in the left hub. I would replace the bearings in the hub you did not service, but take a close look at the bearings to make sure there are no deformities/abnormalities. If after doing this and...

  • Troubleshooting Hub Overheating on Tandem Axle Boat Trailer
A bad tire would not cause your hub to overheat, and if the tire was that bad you would have felt it while towing or it would have failed already. However, if you have older tires it would be worth inspecting them to make sure you don't end up with additional problems. It sounds like your hub was checked for most of the common issues that would cause overheating. One of the most common causes is the castle nut being overtightened but I don't think that is the issue especially after seeing...

The LMX red grease like the Lubrimatic LMX part # L11390 that you referenced is what I recommend. Using the EZ Lube fitting isn't a terrible idea, but it is easy to blow out the seal with them. If you can pack the hubs by hand that's the route I would recommend as that's much safer.
