Had to sell the car with hitch on it, have 4 others. Will get another when deciding on vehicle to use moving forward.

2015 Chevrolet Malibu

This custom hitch is a perfect fit on my 2015 Chevrolet Malibu LT the installation was easy and fast with only having to chase the threads on the car's unused muffler mounting brackets This hitch has had no effect on the vehicles handling The only thing to think about with the hitch is when crossing ditches or speed bump like entrances/exits as the hitch will hit the ground. Another great feature is it required no alterations to the car and is only noticeable if you look for it

2016 Buick Regal

Install was not bad. I had to buy a few additional washers and something as a spacer for it to work. The video posted on etrailers page on [online] for the Curt hitch said it came with a pin to lock in attachments, it does not, really big bummer. I will suggest shopping on etrailers to others but will inform them that the will need to improvise.

I know that this hitch comes with a lot of hardware. Was any hardware missing? You mentioned that you had to buy washers and spacer to install the hitch. I also wanted to ask which video talked about the hitch pin or lock? Typically, the hitches that we carry do not come with one.

Buick LaCrosse

Too complicated. A wiring harness that links to a rear tail light is much simpler. Aside from that the wiring works as it's supposed to, but the connector is stored in the trunk of the car until needed.
The Cort hitch works fine on the Buick Lacrosse, but will drag when entering or leaving a steep driveway. I don't think Buick intended for this car to be fitted with a hitch.

I purchased this trailer hitch for my 2020 Chevrolet Impala. They said the Car is rated for 350lb tongue weight,
and 3500 lb tow capacity (same specs as the Trailer hitch).Watched a couple [online] videos before tackling the install. Backed the car up on car ramps and got started. Install was not difficult at all. I've used the hitch for pulling a small utility trailer, a bike rack for my bikes and even a 6'x12' V nose enclosed trailer. I definitely recommend this Trailer hitch.

2015 Chevrolet Impala

I've had nothing but positive experiences with E-Trailer on previous purchases so on my new car I kept my business where it deserved to stay, shopping around locally I found eTrailer was actually the cheapest for the same hitch that others in my area wanted $300 for. Install was extremely simple, muffler would need to be lowered but luckily for my the factory mufflers were removed and replaced with flowmasters making install extremely simple, easy to install at home, will need an extra pair of hands to hold the hitch up till its bolted then smooth sailing, I installed this to tow my Jet Ski and already used it and didn't let me down. Highly recommended.

Product arrived seemed promising watched all the install videos the issue came when installing it myself. I was installing on a Chevy Malibu 2015. The clearance for the exhaust is terrible. You will either have to replace the exhaust hanger to account for sag from being a few years old. After getting install there was still a rattle from the rear exhaust hanger touching. Wrapping a rubber hose around the hanger easily fixed this but still annoying. I have not actually used the hitch yet but as other stated it hangs pretty low. I’ll update the review after a couple uses.

2018 Chevrolet Impala

I can't say enough good things about the experience with etrailer or the product they sold me. I got the best price and free shipping within 5 days from order date (MO to SC). They even fortified the box where pressure points would be in shipping to ensure a safe and quality product was delivered. Curt makes a great product and I hope to use both etrailer and Curt in the future.
the only recommendation I will make is, if they ask what vehicle this hitch will be installed on so they are not wasting shipping weight and steel on sending two brackets for different installations when connecting to the suspension mount.

This worked great on my 2018 Impala LT and the installation instructions were pretty clear as to which bracket to use for my installation .

I also bought the MAXTOW 1.25 to 2 inch adapter with a 4.5 inch rise for my accessory (Cargo Basket). While the actual tongue weight drops to about 100 pounds (factoring in the weight of the adapter, cargo basket and extension-physics) I only intend to store bulky light weight items on the basket and free up space in the trunk for beach trips!

by:

In a little less than 1 hour we were finished with the install, approx. 5 min. was used to unpack the hitch. Once the muffler was removed it was very easy to install the rear bolts but make sure you replace the muffler before securing the back of the hitch to the frame.
The trailer hitch will be used to carry our bikes to various trails and to the beach.

Excellent rack, the directions are pretty poor, but the etrailer videos makes up for that. Installed easily and works great with my Kuat rack.

by:
2015 Chevrolet Impala

My item was ordered and received in two days. KUDOS for the team that made it happen. It was just in time to have it ready for our weekend trip.

The installation was a breeze even though I didn't have a car lift at my disposal it still only took my son and myself an hour to install it.

See the finished photo below with the bike rack connected.

by:
2014 Chevrolet Malibu

Easy to install

by:

No pin included with the adapter.
Took
2 hours to drill larger screw holes. Thought it was advertised as a "drill free" install? Video for 2011 Buick Lacrosse specifically states it is drill free. Not on my 2011 Lacrosse.

by:

Very well built. Instructions are easy to read and follow. It only took about a hour to install which is pretty good considering I am 72 years old & did it by myself. My only objection is the box says made in U.S.A. but the parts say made in China!!! That's why no 5 stars.

by:
2015 Chevrolet Malibu

The receiver is a perfect fit and install was quick and easy (even without a helper). Hardware and install instructions are exactly as described. We can now easily take our bicycles to some cool new places to ride.

by:

My order was shipped quickly and delivered as promised. Installing the hitch on my vehicle was relatively easy with the help of the informative installation video provided online by etrailer. Overall, an excellent experience.

This is the 3rd receiver I have purchased from Etrailer and they have all worked flawlessly.

THE PRODUCT IS ON THE MONEY.AND REAL FAST DELIVEREY ..THEN HAD IT INSTALLED FOR 50.00..FOR AROUND $ 200 WITH A GREAT PRODUCT..WHEN OTHERS WANTED TO SELL ME A CHEAPER HITCH WITH INSTALL FOR 375.00

by:

This hitch is very nice and heavy duty. Installation was easy and I did it by myself. But a helper would have made it even easier. The wiring was easy as well. Only hard part of the hole installation was getting the black cable through the fire wall and ev ed n that was not to bad. Just attach the end to a hanger with electrical tape and carefully push through rubber grommet. And the fact that there's no drilling is a plus. The cheapest local shop wanted almost $400.00 installed, I saved around $200.00 , love it. Thank you etrailer. My go to place for all of my trailer needs.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch and Transmission/Oil Cooler for 2019 Chevy Impala
Starting with the hitch I recommend the Curt Class II Receiver # C12115 because it features a slightly higher tongue weight capacity (350 pounds) than the Draw-Tite model also available for your Impala and is made right here in the USA. It features a 3,500 pound towing weight limit and will use existing holes in the vehicle's frame for a no-drill installation. I have attached an installation video that you can use for reference. I do recommend verifying the towing capacities of your...

The Curt Hitch part # C12115 is a fit for your 2016 Buick LaCrosse with dual exhaust. We have confirmed this with our contacts at Curt. All of the needed install hardware is included. You should have no problem using jack stands to install this hitch too. We use a lift for our installs mainly just to make the filming process easier.

  • Hitch Recommendation for Towing a Trailer on a 2015 Chevy Impala
If you have a Class I 1-1/4" compatible trailer, you can use a Class II 1-1/4" hitch receiver. The only difference between the two classes is that the Class II has a greater overall weight capacity than a Class I hitch. I went ahead and attached a helpful chart that shows the differences between these hitch classes. For a great option to accommodate the trailer on your 2015 Chevy Impala, I recommend the Curt Class II - 1-1/4" # C12115. This hitch not only provides you with 350 pounds of...

  • Trailer Hitch for Scooter and Lift for a 2011 Buick LaCrosse
If the rear of your 2011 Buick LaCrosse is 6-1/2 inches from the ground on the driveway incline then anything that extends out further then that would be even closer to the ground. Basically you can probably expect to scrape the ground with a carrier installed in the trailer hitch. The way around this would be if the carrier you use had a rise in the shank effectively increasing its ground clearance. Carrier # PS10401-10402 for example has a slight rise in the shank (4 inches) and would...

The Draw-Tite Class II # 36538 or Curt # C12115 are a custom fit for your 2015 Buick Lacrosse FWD. The specific Draw-Tite hitch receiver you referenced will not fit your 2015 Buick Lacrosse FWD. With either option, if you will be towing a trailer you will additionally need a ball mount. I recommend # 36061 which comes with the pin and clip. You will still need a hitch ball like # 19258 for a 2 inch coupler or # 19257 for a 1-7/8 inch coupler. Then the wiring you will need for your hitch...

  • Recommended Towing Weight Capacity for a 2012 Buick Lacrosse
I can clarify all this for you. The hitch is rated to tow 3,500 lbs. and this towing capacity is issued by the manufacture of the hitch. You are going to be limited by your weakest link, which is going to be your vehicle's frame. I went ahead and I checked the owner's manual for your 2012 Buick Lacrosse and it states that with a V6 engine you can tow up to 1,000lbs. but that could also be too heavy. The owner's manual states: maximum trailer weight is calculated assuming only the driver...

It may not be as hidden as you would like but keep in mind that in order to really see the cross tube of the hitch or really any other part of it other than the receiver you would have to get fairly low to the ground. The Draw Tite hitch part # 36538 that you also referenced does not have this requirement so I would recommend it for you. However, if you also plan on using the hitch as an attachment point for hitch mounted accessories like a bike rack or a cargo carrier, I'd recommend you go with the Draw-Tite Class II, part # 36538. Per Curt, all non-trailer loads - bike racks, cargo carriers and so forth - should be supported with stabilizing straps like part # 18050.
