How Much Trimming is Required for Installation of Trailer Hitch Receivers on 2017 Chevrolet Impala

Hello, I have 2017 Chevy Impala, Premiere edition. I am trying to choose between the Curt C12115 hitch or the Draw-Tite 36538. The notes on the Draw-Tite dont mention modifying the trim, but the Curt does say Underbody trim panel must be modified or trimmed if present. Does the Draw-Tite not require cutting of the trim panel? Thank you

The Draw-Tite # 36538 is the trailer hitch receiver that fits your 2017 Chevrolet Impala. If you take a look at the video of the hitch being installed that I've attached, at around the 6:40 mark you'll see the optional cutting being described. It isn't required but there is some cutting that can be performed for the install.

This is the same area that needs to be trimmed for the Curt # C12115. Which is also shown in the other video around the 1:35 mark.
