This durable steel D-ring creates an attachment point for tie-down straps and bungee cords wherever you need cargo control. The zinc-plated ring resists corrosion and bolts onto a flat surface. Includes mounting bracket.

Features:

  • Tie-down anchor provides a solid point to secure your cargo with straps or bungee cords
  • Surface-mount design does not require you to cut a hole in your trailer or truck bed
  • D-ring rotates 180-degrees so you can attach straps from multiple angles
  • Zinc-plated steel construction resists corrosion and retains its strength through repeated use
  • Simple, bolt-on installation to flat surface
    • Mounting hardware not included

Specs:

  • Maximum load (break strength): 11,700 lbs
  • Working load limit: 4,000 lbs
  • Ring diameter: 1/2"
  • Internal ring dimensions: 2-3/8" wide x 2-1/2" tall
  • Dimensions: 3-1/2" wide x 3-3/8" tall
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Note: Tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the anchors being used. For example, if you are using anchors with a WLL of 100 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 400 lbs, then you need at least 4 anchors to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use anchors in pairs.

They are very sturdy and bigger than they look in the picture. Hopefully they’ll do the job but I think they will.

They have been great at holding large equipment in place on the trailer. I’ve been pleased with my purchase and I always like dealing with etrailer. They always answer your questions and give good advice.

by:

The pictures of these don't do them justice. They are larger than they look on the website. I'm using 4 of these to secure my Jeep to my trailer. I would have given 5 stars but there seems to be a dimensional issue if you use 3/8" carriage bolts. The bolts cannot seat fully into the square hole because the hole is to close to the curved portion that holds the d-ring in place. This doesn't affect the function but does hurt the appearance of the finished product.

by:

Got these to add to the bed of my truck for more tie down spots for 4 wheelers and my sons dirt bike. Attached to my tool box and they work and fit great!!!

Great!!! Helps out a lot tying things down.

by:

Easy to install, never rusted, never broke with multiple trips of tying down cars and light pickup trucks. Great bang for buck!

by:

Wow these things are serious, heavy duty D rings. The D ring is big, in case that's a factor for your setup. These will do great in my trailer. etrailer's notifications were outstanding every step of the way, excellent packaging.

Heavy duty and not messing around. Great product that you dont have to ever worry about as long as you secure them right. Excellent.

Great for making easy access tie downs on trailer deck.

Everything is working great. Your parts helped me put a nearly new, yet fender-bendered, trailer back together for a very reasonable price. It rolls down the road great!Ill probably be contacting you all again in the near future for a wiring harness for a trailer brake controller on my new-to-me F250 when the weather finally decides to dry out a bit!.

by:

Nice addition to my trailer to haul my SxS. My trailer didn’t come with any tie down points. Another bonus with these is adding tie down points exactly where you want them on the trailer that works best for your application.

by:

Great quality. Install 6 on my 5x10 utility trailer with a wood deck. Used 3/8 x 2 1/2 inch Carriage bolts.

Steve T.

10/16/2013

Steve, I have the same application 6x10 wood floor. Where did you mount these beauties, on the outside of the frame rails? Or did you go thru the floor into the angle pieces holding the floor? No experience in this, just dont want my 49 Allis Chalmers to fall off!Thanx Bruce Bower

Going to the siderails can make securing a car more challenging than it needs to be. Going to the deck of the trailer would be easier. Check out part RR5K. It will make the install a little bit cleaner as they tie-down points are recessed. The backing plate is included too for use with wood decks, and it even has a 5K working load limit.

Hefty tie down anchors. I was going to weld or bolt/weld 4 of these onto my lightweight folding trailer for motorcycle transport, but I'm quite sure a couple of sturdy bolts, lock washers, and nut should do the trick. Anyone know the correct carriage bolt size to securely fit square holes?

by:

This was an 'after thought' for my 'newer' recently purchased truck. I needed more tie-down capability for other 'Toys' in the bed of the truck. These made perfect sense after I found two flat spots in my fiberglass bed liner. So once the Headache Bar, I bought from etrailer, is firmly in place with these tie-down loops, and the Off-road 'toy' of choice is snug in the bed. I will certainly be off to the 'dirt'! Thanks to all at etrailer!

by:

The tie downs I received were bigger and better than what I expected I used grade A bolts to anchor to the floor of our trailer that halls ranch/farm equipment. These tie downs won’t break. Great product and a great price and yes I recommend this tie downs. Retired 2

by:

I ordered 8 heavy duty bolt tie downs for my two trucks. After they arrived, I took a free day to install them. Well into the project, I discovered that I had only 7 bolt tie downs and one that has to be welded, which I cannot use. Being a little more conscientious when putting the order together would have saved me a lot of time in calling, returning the wrong part, waiting for a new one and then hauling out the tools again.

As for the correct tie downs and the ratchet straps I ordered, they are excellent quality and I would recommend them.

by:

I under estimated the size of this thing, and the fact that it holds 12,000 lbs (stamped on it), but I got exactly what I ordered. I shouldn't have a problem holding my boat down with them (or picking it up)

Thanks for your business and your review, Billie. As a precaution, tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit WLL. The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the anchors being used. For example, if you are using anchors with a WLL of 100 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 400 lbs, then you need at least 4 anchors to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use anchors in pairs.

by:

Seem very heavy duty. Installed with 3/8 inch carriage bolts to trailer flooring. As advertised. Very quick turn around from ordering to receiving order.

by:

Excellent product. I was half expecting something smaller...i'm glad it wasn't! The brackets were mounted to the sides of my car trailer deck, which allowed for extra tie down points.

by:

I would not ever consider buying tires anywhere else than etrailer. Your 5 star tires, service and follow up are wonderful.

by:

Like the other reviews state, these things are hefty. The Box was about 3lb for two of them. We will use them for the first time in a couple weeks, but they appear legit. Also, we got 3/8 carriage bolts so they can be flush with the bracket.

by:

They look the same and they are Solid! I Use them to hold down my dirtbike. Great buy. 2006 Frontier SE4X4

by:

Great.....On all of my orders. First the etrailer web site made it so easy to place my order. It was then processed fast, and to finish up my multiple orders were shipped and recieved in just a couple days. Excellent Excellent Excellent.

by:

I didn't realize how big these were from the picture. These look like they are for tying down cars. I just need them to tie down motorcycles so I used something smaller and lighter.

by:

It was a lot bigger than I expected and not what I was looking for...but we will be using it with my husband's motorcycle repair shop trailer. :-)

by:

Great for easy safety chain hookup on my 5x12 trailer.

by:

Thanks Much, just got in from installing everything I ordered and it
all went on nicely. I rebuilt a 6' X 12' 1999 utility trailer
with treated lumber etc..........plus your parts, looks great. Thanks
again, going to do the same for another utility trailer I have, a
6' X 10, so, I'll be ordering from you later in the summer. Thanks
again

by:

Very good and sturdy. Not like the cheap ones you get at your local hardware store

  • How to Carry a Motorcycle with a Toyota RAV4
I have a solution for you, but after doing a little research, I found that the tongue weight capacity of the base and sport models of the RAV4 is approximately 150 lbs and the tongue weight capacity of the limited model is approximately 350 lbs. I would not recommend using any hitch mounted motorcycle carrier on a 2006 Toyota RAV4 to carry your 325 lb bike because the vehicle cannot support the weight of the bike and the carrier. Instead, I would recommend either looking into a larger...

  • Can Brophy D-Ring Tie Down Anchor Be Mounted to Trailer Frame
You can drill into the frame to mount the Brophy D-Ring Tie Down Anchor # LRB1 to the floor of your trailer. If it is a steel frame I wouldn't worry about it, if it is an aluminum frame I would try to avoid it. However, I recommend using a steel backing plate to avoid drilling into the frame entirely. This will be more than enough to keep the tie down secure.

  • Recommended Way to Install Heavy Steel D-Ring Tie Down to Aluminum Floor of Car Hauler
Using a piece of plywood between the aluminum will not hold up as well because the wood will start to weaken and will rot over time. The best way to install the trailer D-Ring Tie Down Mount, part # LRB1, to the aluminum floor in your car hauler would be to mount it through the frame of the trailer if possible or using a steel backing plate would suffice. It would probably be good to use some sort of gasket material between the aluminum and the steel to prevent any oxidation or reaction...
