This D-ring lets you add an extra anchor point on the wood floor of your trailer. Recessed design lets you roll or slide your cargo over the ring without interference, and it helps reduce tripping hazard. Installation requires drilling and cutting.

Specs:
Note: Tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the anchors being used. For example, if you are using anchors with a WLL of 100 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 400 lbs, then you need at least 4 anchors to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use anchors in pairs.

Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at the CargoSmart D-ring tie down anchor. This D-ring adds an extra anchor point for your trailer, truck, or van. It does feature a recessed design which allows the D-ring to lay flush with the surface to prevent obstruction when it's not in use. This is a heavy duty design. We're looking at a steel construction with protective finishing to resist rust and corrosion. It's a simple bolt-on installation, mounting hardware not included.
The anchor point, which is this ring right here, that portion has a diameter of three-eighths of an inch, and then the usable space, this area inside, inner edge to inner edge, is around one and three-eighths of an inch. The actual mounting plate edge to edge going this direction measures four and a half inches. Edge to edge going this direction measures about four and seven-eighths inches. The mount holes on the unit are separated apart from one another on center going this direction by three inches, and then going this direction by three and one quarter inches. Now your installation hole needs to match this shape back here, and so I did take a measurement from top to bottom, and it needs to measure about three and three eighths going that direction and then side to side by about three inches, and then the depth is not very much at all, so you need to make sure that your recessed area is at least I want to say about seven-eighths of an inch deep. Also it has a slot right here, so if any water or moisture gets trapped in this recessed area, it does have a way to escape. The safe working load limit on this unit is 1667 pounds. The maximum load or break strength rating is 5000 pounds, and just keep in mind that tie down anchors need to be chose according to their safe working load limit, so the weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the anchors being used.
And that's gonna do it for today's look at the CargoSmart D-ring tie down anchor.
