Installing Brophy D-Rings on OSB Trailer Flooring

Question:

I recently purchase a 7x14foot enclosed cargo trailer and want to install D-Rings with backing plates to the floor but it has 3/4inch T-GRADE OSB by TOLKO FLOORING... Would it be safe to install them with the backing plates and I am installing the Lock N Load front wheel chock and plan on putting support plates under the floor with them... I know that the wood will flex some.. I plan to add a plywood at some point to make it stronger... Being the wood is new I am thinking it will be fine but as it gets older I know that I will be replacing it.. I just received the Hitch Lock and door pucks from you all today... Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated... Thanks

When used along with a steel backing plate, the Brophy D-Ring Tie Down Anchor # LRB1 that you referenced should offer enough support to provide a safe anchor point on the wooden T-Grade OSB flooring on your trailer.

With that being said, a better option might be with the Brophy D-Ring Tie Down Anchor w Backing Plate # RR5K for your application, as it features a larger surface area on the D-Ring mount to better disperse weight and also includes the backing plate for installation. It has a working load limit of 1,600 pounds and all the mounting hardware is included.

I have attached an installation video for this product that you can use for reference.
