Worked great. Thanks

by:

Installed way easier than I expected. I haven’t tried using them yet but excited to in the very near future.

by:

The caliper came with the brake pads and bolts (already treated with loc-tite) on time. Installation was easy and it worked as expected.

by:

These calipers work great on my 8k axles. I keep an extra one of these on my trailer in case of bearing failure resulting in damage to my current brakes. These come with pads, a 90 degree hydraulic fitting, rubber bushings, sleeves, and bolts.

by:

Correct part shipped on time and arrived early. Exceptional service.

We noticed our brake caliper fell apart just a few days before we need to take the trailer on a 2,500 mile trip. Etrailer.com was very helpful in getting the correct replacement parts delivered to our house within 2 days and did so at a very reasonable price.

by:

My order arrived on time, exactly what I thought I needed. It turned out the product (brake caliper and pads) were not needed so I have a spare which is fine. I earlier ordered a bearing from etrailer which I did need now and its just fine. Ill be back to etrailer any time I have fifth wheel needs.

by:

We have purchased from etrailer numerous times over the last year. They are very prompt in shipping orders and the products always seem to be in stock as we have had not recent back orders. The products are very reasonably priced and name brand and good quality. We need their products often and we plan to continue to purchase from them.

by:

Ordered a new caliper due to one seizing on my last camping trip.... decided to go new vs. a rebuild kit...etrailer is my go to company for my fifth wheel parts... They are great

by:

Brake problems on the road, parts were ordered and shipped over night, I was able to have my repair done the following day.
It's been one yr. since the parts were put in service and haven't had any problems.

  • Replacement Calipers for Boat Trailer
In order to determine the correct replacement calipers for your boat trailer, you will need to know the weight capacity of the trailer axle as well as the brand of your existing calipers. For example, the Kodiak Disc Brake Calliper # KDBC250E is compatible with 7,000-8,000 pound axles. I have included a link that will take you to our available selection of calipers. You can select the brand and weight capacity you are needing using the options on the left side of the page.

  • Recommended Electric Over Hydraulic Conversion for Dutchmen Voltage 3818 Toy Hauler Triple Axle
We do have the ability to convert your Dutchmen Voltage 3818 to Electric over Hydraulic brakes. First you will want the brake assemblies and for those, I recommend the Hydraulic Brake Kit - Uni-Servo - Free Backing - 12" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 5.5K to 7K # AKFBBRK-7 (one kit per axle). Then you will need brake lines like the Deluxe Hydraulic Line Kit - Tandem Axle - Drum # 9579-2 along with the Hydraulic Line Kit, 3rd Axle - Drum and Disc # 9579-01. Then I recommend the HydraStar...

  • Parts Needed To Add Electric Over Hydraulic Disc Brakes On Tandem Axle Trailer With Lippert 8k Axles
I would be happy to recommend all of the parts you need for adding electric over hydraulic disc brakes to your tandem axle trailer with 8000lb Lippert axles. All of the 8000lb disc brake rotors we offer use the inner bearing # 25580 and outer bearing # 02475, so you will want to make sure that your spindles use the same bearings. The easiest way to do this is by removing one of your hubs and looking for the bearing number stamped in the face of each bearing as shown in the included picture...

  • Why Is One Rotor Hotter Than All The Others On A Triple Axle Trailer
Typically when something like this is happening, it will be one of a few things. First will be the pads in this brake caliper have a bit more material than the others and it is making more constant contact with the rotor. This will definitely cause it to heat up faster and more than the others. This will usually happen if the brake pads in just one caliper were replaced recently and is why it is always good to replace all pads at the same time. However, if this was not done recently, you...

  • Which Caliper Should You Start with When Bleeding Brakes
When bleeding the brakes, you will indeed want to start with the caliper farthest from the actuator and then bleed the other assemblies that share the same hydraulic circuit. After those have been bled, simply start again on the other side of the trailer with the furthest brake from the actuator. This is to ensure that no air bubbles get trapped up along the trailer lines. I did also check with both Kodiak and Titan and both also recommend starting with the calipers furthest away from...
