Powder coated steel is sturdy and corrosion resistant.Great product, great quality, comes with all mounting hardware. Free shipping and was delivered just two days after ordering. Only complaint is that it’s advertised to only have to drill out the rivets in the back of the frame but on my truck (2022 ram 4500) you have to drill every hole. Also says you need a 25/32” drill bit which to me is too big, I used a 5/8” and the hole is the perfect sizeOther than that it was easy to install as long as you have the right tools. I order all my hitches and related products from etrailer and will continue to do so.
The hitch was good. The holes didn't all line up. The directions called for 19/32 drill bit that was too small for the bolts supplied. It was a 5/8ths bolt and so i needed the same size drill bit. The box was beat up and the hitch busted through the box. The hitch had scratches that broke through the paint. Send some padding in the future.

It sounds like the side brackets could have been flexed out of alignment since the hitch had also broken through the box. We do have a FAQ that can help with that. I will also have Customer Service reach out to you about the scratches that the hitch received.

2016 Dodge Ram Chassis Cab, 9' bed, 34" frame rails.
Extremely beefy trailer hitch. Easy to install, especially with no bed on the truck. The two rear rivets on the Ram frame rail are time consuming to drill out. Clears the rear 52 gallon fuel tank with no problems. It should be noted that the holes where the safety chains would hook are very beefy as well so small chain hooks will not work. Shackles will solve that proble and be more secure at the same time. I'm very happy with my purchas of this hitch and etrailer.com did a great job helping me find the correct hitch and shipping it out fast.

This is and always has been a superior product for my use. This hitch is ultimately the best choice to put on our Semi Trucks. It gives me the ability to haul more freight. Now I can haul any reciever hitch or pintle hook load along with my standard 5th wheel loads.

This trailer hitch is very well built.
Always concerned when pulling a heavy load down the highway. This hitch is rated for as much weight as my one ton truck is. I have no doubt this hitch will last as long as the truck

Came earlier than expected. Fit my 01 gmc 3500 cab and chassis great. Easy install. Found it cheaper here than anywhere else. etrailer is always the first place I look when I need just bout anything for my truck or rv.
I purchased this hitch for my 2022 Ram 5500. The hitch arrived lightning fast and installation was very simple. The hitch arrived with all the necessary Grade 8 bolts and the entire installation took less than 30 minutes. I did have to drill two holes but that was no issue and it was probably due to the fact that I have a cab and chassis model. The hitch is nice and square and tows well. After a trip from Texas to Washington state all the hitch bolts are still tight and the hitch is still nice and square and the finish looks resilient.

The instructions say a professional can install in 30 minutes which is impossible because it will take an hour, or more, just to drill holes

Delivery was very fast. Just wanted everyone to know drilling is required. Or I guess you could have it welded on. Not my choice in case of damage to hitch.
fit good and was promptly delivered.
took longer to install than what it said , but that's typically the case. It was a relatively smooth install. I just takes a minute to drill through frame metal.
i think it needs side plates also
Fitment of the hitch was as advertised. Shipping was quick (A day earlier than expected). So far we have ordered multiple hitches and axle parts from e trailer and never been disappointed with any of them. Keep up the good work guys. You are our go to trailer and hitch company.
Hitch was installed on a 2015 Chevrolet 3500 with dual fuel tanks.
This hitch fit behind the fuel tank skid plate mounting bolts without relocating the skid plate mounts. The middle bolt lined up over the crossmember requiring a factory rivet to be drilled out, but the hitch is then mounted to two layers of frame
The hitch itself is very well made, the bolt flange is true to the truck frame, good mounting hardware included. it has a flat bedliner type finish on it.
Very sturdy, good welds, easy install with no mods required.
It was a perfect fit for my M35A2 could not ask for anything better will recommend to all my friends

etrailer had the best price for this hitch everywhere else was over $300 before shipping I got the hitch and 3day shipping for $xx.xx and some change.. install was easy but drilling the frame is pain in the butt just because of how solid the metal is.. the instructional video explained everything I needed to know and made the install a breeze.. instructions do come with the hitch however I only referred to them for torque specs.. if you’re mechanically inclined you and a buddy can have this installed in no time.. THIS HITCH WILL WORK WITH A SERVICE BODY THAT HAS A REGULAR J-MODEL BUMPER WITH LITTLE TO NO ISSUE.. I replaced a jerry-rigged POS hitch some “fabricator” made that ultimately almost destroyed the bumper and could’ve killed someone
The receiver hitch is heavy duty and looks to be well built. It fit perfect on my truck, the only tough part about it was working around the flatbed that I already have on the vehicle. So from my personal experience if you don't already have a bed on your truck, put the hitch on prior to putting the bed. It would make the install process much easier. Overall a great product and I would recommend to anyone in the market.
The only thing wrong was that it came with no packing, the part is subject to get scratched or broken when sent that way. Customer service rep was great though.
