Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a quick look at this replacement rubber bushing for Kodiak guide bolt sleeves. If you're needing to replace a rubber bushing that fits the Kodiak caliper mounting guide bolt sleeves for their 225 and 250 disc brake calipers, then this is the bushing that you are going to need. This works with Kodiak calipers rated for 2,000 pounds to 8,000 pounds. And this bushing is compatible with anti-lock brake systems.

Now, you will reach receive one bushing. And just some measurements here, the overall length, we are sitting right at two inches. And that inside length, if you're interested, we are sitting right at about an inch and 3/4. I ordered this part and selected overnight shipping. Paid an extra 50 dollars for it. 2 days later I get an email it will ship 4 days later and be there overnight . Not quite what overnight means. As I started to make new arrangements for the part I needed it showed up a day early than expected. None of the shipping information was correct.

I have worked on Kodiak breaks for 17 years and ordering parts from ET. You can match brake pads but the quality is not the same. Find a good suppler like and it will be a winner.

  • What Type of Grease Should be Used to Grease Brake Caliper Bushing
    I spoke to my contact at Kodiak and explained to him your situation and he advised that only silicone based grease be used on the bushing that the caliper slides on. He said that if you used petroleum based grease the bushing will swell and the caliper won't function right. He told me to show you the picture that I attached. If your bushings need to be replaced you would want the part # K225RB.

    For uneven brake pad wear on your 10" Kodiak Disc Brakes # KOD67FR you'll need to check the guide bolts as they likely are moving slowly or might even be seized up.
