Which Caliper Should You Start with When Bleeding Brakes
Question:
Bleeding Kodiak Calipers In a posted response your Expert, Victoria, stated that you should bleed the caliper farthest from the pump first. I believe the correct procedure is to bleed the closest caliper first to ensure bubbles arent pushed past an unbled caliper to one thats already been bled Your opinion?

When bleeding the brakes, you will indeed want to start with the caliper farthest from the actuator and then bleed the other assemblies that share the same hydraulic circuit. After those have been bled, simply start again on the other side of the trailer with the furthest brake from the actuator. This is to ensure that no air bubbles get trapped up along the trailer lines.
I did also check with both Kodiak and Titan and both also recommend starting with the calipers furthest away from the actuator. I have attached a disc brake installation manual from Kodiak that you can check out. Their recommended procedure for bleeding the brakes starts on page 12.
