Are Additional Parts Needed to Replace 250 Kodiak Disc Brake Calipers
You won't need any additional pieces when replacing the Kodiak Disc Brake Caliper # KDBC250S. I do recommend replacing both calipers on the same axle though as that will keep your braking even. We have the Rebuild Kit # KDBC250KIT that can also be used if the whole caliper on the other side doesn't need to be replaced.

Will a Kodiak 250 Disc Brake Caliper Fit in Place of a Kodiak 225 Caliper
You should not have any problem fitting the Kodiak Disc Brake Caliper, # KDBC250S, in place of the # KDBC225S. The major difference is the piston size (1/4 larger on the 250). The 225 is designed for 3,500 to 6,000 pound axles whereas the 250 is designed for 7,000 to 8,000 pound axles. If the actuator you are using is not rated high enough then it could have problem pushing the piston to apply the brakes.

You could most likely use Kodiak stainless steel calipers. However they have different options depending on the trailer capacity. For 9K to 10K use # KDBC338SS For 7K to 8K use # KDBC250S For 3.5K to 6K use # KDBC225S
