Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this GEN-Y Replacement shank. This is going to replace the shank for your GEN-Y adjustable ball mount with stacked receivers. This will slide right into your two inch by two inch trailer Hitch receiver. And then it's going to provide these eight stacked, two inch by two inch receivers that will allow you to mount your ball mount, bike rack or other Hitch mount accessory. And of course, having the eight stacked receivers here is going to allow us to control the height of our accessories.

So, especially with your ball mount if you're towing a trailer it's gonna give you a lot of adjustability to make sure that you can get your ball mount set up so that your trailer's gonna be nice and level instead of tilted back or forward. So having these eight stacked receivers is going to give us a maximum drop of 17 and a half inches. So that's gonna be a very wide range there of adjustments capable of making sure that your trailer's gonna be nice and level. This is a nice heavy duty steel construction. So it is going to be ideal for towing extra large loads.

It's got a gross towing weight capacity of 10,000 pounds and a tongue weight of 1,500 pounds. Does have a zinc primer and powder coat finish. That's gonna help resist corrosion. So it's gonna hold up well for you. Our Hitchpin and clip or our locking pin are sold separately.

Those will help to secure the shank. You probably already have one for your Hitch. All of receivers also have a five eight inch diameter pinhole. So it's gonna use that same kind of hardware. They only include the one pin for getting your support arms mounted in place.

So if you are wanting to secure any of your other Hitch-bound accessories you'll need to have a pin for those as well. This is SAE J684 certified, so you can trust it is going to meet those high quality standards. It's gonna do what you need it to do. It's going to have these support arms here that mount onto your vehicle because it is such a long drop, you know, giving us that support so that we can tow those heavy loads and support bike racks and those sort of things.
