Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a brief look together at this Gen Y Hitch-Mounted Step. Now this hitch step is going to slide into your two inch trailer hitch receiver and it's going to give you quick and easy access to your vehicle's to truck bed, cargo area or roof rack. And the serrated, non-slip surface is going to give you a really nice strong grip to help prevent slipping. You could actually remove the mud off of your boots if you wanted to because of that serration.

It's very strong and it's gonna do a great job of cleaning off the bottom of your shoes, your boots. And what's nice is this has a really open design, so you're not gonna have to worry about debris or water getting trapped here on the top of that step. It's going to either fall through or drain through without any problems whatsoever. And this does have a weight capacity of 400 pounds. And let me go ahead and provide some measurements for you just so you have a good idea of how much space it's gonna be taking up the back of your vehicle.

So looking at the overall width, we are sitting right at 12 inches wide. And then the overall length from bottom to top, pretty close to 10 and one eighth inches long. And then the depth should be no surprise because of the two inch hitch receiver, but it's gonna be two inches deep. And then this is made here in the USA of a durable steel construction with a matte black powder coat. So this is going to hold up really well for you.

You're not gonna have to worry about this becoming easily scratched up. It's going to hold up to the elements really well. If you're at all familiar with Gen Y products, you know that they make products that are very well designed, very robust, and in my opinion, this is no exception to that. This is a another well designed product from them. I do wanna point out that a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock, they are sold separately.

This does not include that. So if you do not already have a compatible hitch pin and clip, that is something you would have to pick up separately.
