Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at this adjustable stabilizer bar kit for your Gen-Y adjustable ball mount. This stabilizer kit is designed to prevent wobble and to keep your Gen-Y hitch mount stable and sturdy as you tow. This works with Gen-Y adjustable ball mounts to brace the ball mount and distribute the load. And this is designed for use with mounts that have 2 1/2 inch receivers and 12 inches or more of drop. And this will be compatible with standard or torsion Gen-Y mounts.
Now this is going to be a relatively easy setup and it's also going to be easy to remove. First, you will just bolt these 1 1/4 inch diameter bars to this five-inch long shank. And as you can see, I do have these loosely bolted together with these bolts that are included here, just to give you an idea of what this is going to look like connected, and just to kind of give you the layout here on my table of what this kit is going to look like. And then you're just going to insert this shank into the rear of the stacked receivers on your ball mount and secure it with this included standard 3/4 of an inch diameter pin and clip. You will bolt or weld these brackets onto your vehicle's frame and then attach these stabilizer bars to these brackets with the included pin and clips that you see right here.
Then you can just remove this shank from your ball mount and then disconnect these bars from these brackets when not in use. And in case you we're wondering, the overall dimensions of this bracket, beginning with the length first, we're sitting at about 4 5/8 inches long and 2 5/8 inches wide. And let me put a photo there on the screen for you, just to kind of show you what this is going to look like and how it's designed to be used, so, again, you have an idea of how this is going to be used and what it looks like in action. And the adjustable length is going to make it very easy to span the distance between your vehicle and your Gen-Y ball mount. Now, let me go ahead and give you some dimensions, or measurements rather, of the adjustability of these bars.
So as you can see, I have this bar set at the minimum length and this bar set at the maximum length. So measuring center of bolt hole to center of bolt hole, as you can see, we are sitting right at 24 inches long. And then so that's going to be your minimum length, 24 inches. And then on the maximum length, again, from center of bolt hole to center a bolt hole, we're sitting at 33 inches. So minimum length 24 inches, maximum length, 33 inches.
And included are these bars or rods that you can insert here into the holes here of the stabilizer bars, so you can easily adjust the length and get that really nice snug fit that you are looking for. This kit is made here in the U.S.A. of a durable steel construction, with a zinc primer and epoxy powder-coat to help resist that rust and corrosion. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

The lower drop shank and ball mount are specific to my equalizer hitch. I pull a heavy trailer for a bumper mount unit and wanted to reduce the torsion forces on the hitch itself. With a little modification of the included 2.5" adapter this is a rock solid quick disconnect system.
Great service, shipped fast and kept me up to date on arrival time. Very happy with my purchase. Thanks again!!
