It took a while to get to me since several items in the order were back ordered, but someone from etrailer regularly communicated the status. All items arrived in good condition, but I haven’t had time to install.

by:

Works as advertised.

by:

Was larger gauge than I needed but worked just fine. This 10 gauge wire is blue but my stock wiring was about 14 gauge but since the used a circuit breaker to cross connect it was not a problem.

by:

Wire was just what I needed to add the battery charger wiring to the 6 pin receptacle for the TOAD vehicle.

by:

Excellent brake controller. etrailer was prompt in shipping and service outstanding. Would definitely buy from etrailer again.

This brake controller is working great. Would recommend it Easily adjustable for driving conditions

by:

Ordered a pair of Dexter electric brake kits for my trailer. Everything arrived within a few (3) days in good shape. Installed on the trailer, everything works as advertised. I have ordered from etrailer several times over the past few years. Always great service and prices. Customer service and tech assist is especially good with these folks. I would send pictures but the trailer is out working.

by:

Couldn't be happier. Bought a couple of 4 to 7 way adapters, some 10 gauge wire and a couple of 40a breakers. Recommendations from etrailer were thorough and well done.
All installed on both vehicles ... both working just great.

by:

Fast delivery - Ordered on 9/29/17 - Received on 10/4/17
Excellent heavy gauge wire!
NOTE for etrailer managers. I am a technical person by nature and speaking only for myself, when I buy and pay for a specific amount of something, I expect to get that amount. I'm not pinching pennies with you here; BUT, I bought 30' of this wire and when I received it, I measured it twice and came up with 29' 9". Most places I've dealt with in the past where I buy wire, angle iron, etc.. would give you a couple of inches or more than you ordered versus a couple of inches shorter than what was ordered. Very stingy in my opinion and not fair to your customers.

by:

Order accurately filled, (I even called back to add some items). The order even came more quickly than I expected. Quality of the parts appears to be excellent!

Thank you!

Michael

Working fine. No problems.

by:

Good price, and just what I needed for carrying the heavier loads needed for charging the trailers on board battery, and running the refrigerator/freezer.

by:

The wiring harness set is flawless and the installation went smooth, even for this less than electrically inclined guy. A couple hours or work and I was on the road towing with confidence

by:

The wire itself seems okay, although the packaging wasn't great. Ordered 75 feet of wire along with a coupler. The wire was coiled in the bottom of the box, with the coupler sitting on top of it in direct contact. I noticed some nicks in the wire insulation as a result of the coupler edges hitting it during shipping.

eTrailer did a great job of shipping quickly! Order packaging needs some serious attention.

by:

ettrailer was extremely helpful with adding brakes to my utility trailer. This wire was just one component in the upgrade. Thank you etrailer. I would definitely recommend them.

by:

This served its purpose for installing a trailer battery charge line. It was nice that I could order a specific length from retailer since I didn't need a whole roll.

by:

Nice thick sturdy wire, I used it to run 12v power supply from battery to circuit breaker then to to 7 way plug.

by:

Very happy with the wiring. Works well, easy install. less memory then I expected. Nice having power from my tow vehicle to my trailer.

by:

Ordered several electrical connectors, wire and a wire tester .. all items came in good condition ,looking forward to using the tester as soon as I can I am sure it will do the job.

by:

Exactly as described!

by:

The wire was perfect for the application (electric trailer brakes). The sales person, William, who helped me, was most helpful.

by:

Great service as always!! Fast delivery! Etrailer has it all covered with product and install information, they make it easy!!

by:

It's been a long while since I've ordered anything from etrailer, but, as usual, you folks came through in flying colors. The package was boxed well, shipped on time and the correct products, that's a real plus in today's internet shopping zone.

by:

Exactly what I needed to re-wire my trailer. Fast shipping and good price.

by:

Product arrived as promised and everything works great. The staff at etrailer I worked with was fantastic. Thanks, Brian

by:

Great cable. Heavy gauge for almost any trailer accessory.

by:

Everything is as expected! Top quality and rapid delivery. If You need trailer products this is the place!

  • Can Prodigy P3 Brake Controller Replace Integrated Controller of 2015 Chevy Silverado
Installing the P3 brake controller # 90195 on your 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 with factory integrated controller will actually be very simple. What you will do is use harness # 3016 which plugs into a port on the truck already. But you will need to remove the blue wire from the end that plugs into the truck. You will then take a length of wire, # 10-1-1, and connect it to the blue wire you removed from the connector. Route the blue wire through the firewall, under the truck, and to the...

  • Installing 7-Way Trailer Connector on 1995 Japanese Market Toyota Land Cruiser Prado
To add a 7-way to your Japanese Domestic Market 1995 Land Cruiser Prado, you'll first need a functioning 4 pole trailer connector. You can install one using part # C59496 which would need to be hardwired into the existing taillight wiring harnesses. The # C59496 taillight converter harness includes a circuit tester and all the wire, fuse holder, fuse and hardware needed to complete the installation. While a helper activates each turn signal function, you can use the tester to probe the...

To replace a 4-Way/7-Way connector on your 2021 Ram ProMaster 1500 you need the Hopkins Socket Kit # HM40975. Otherwise, if you're needing to ADD 4-Way and 7-Way sockets then you need the following parts: - Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C58DR - Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 - No-Drill Mount Bracket, Long # 18136 - Extra 10 Gauge Wire # 10-1-1 (on an as-needed basis) If you also need a brake controller then I really like the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller...

  • Wire and Breaker Recommendation to Complete 12 volt Power Circuit on a 2006 Ford Explorer
The Curt Universal Wiring Kit for Trailer Brake Controllers # C51500 that you referenced comes with all the wiring to install a brake controller, but if you want to complete the 12 volt power circuit on the 7-way you will need to also purchase a 40 amp breaker like part # 9510 and then 10 gauge wire part # 10-1-1. The # 10-1-1 is sold by the food so you would need to order a quantity of how many feet you would need. I would order longer than you think you will need just to be safe.

I have attached a couple of helpful articles that explains how to attach your Hopkins Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole and 4 Pole, part # 37185. I have also attached a drawing that shows where the wires need to be run from the adapter you can check out. As the attached video shows, you may have a harness on the driver side up along the frame rail you can splice the blue wire and the black wire into the wires on the vehicle. For additional blue wire if needed, I recommend part # 10-1-1, which...

Yes, the 12 Volt auxiliary terminal (red) on your 7-way connector can be used to keep the battery on your trailer charged. You will need to run a 10 gauge power wire like # 10-1-1 from the 12 volt auxiliary terminal on the 7-Way trailer connector on the trailer to the positive terminal on the trailer battery and ground the negative terminal of the trailer battery to the trailer frame. When you hear the buzzing sound when the brakes are applied, that sound is power going back to the brakes, or at least part of the way, let's get this issue corrected. Since you have a factory brake controller, first we need to make sure that both the 7-Way on your tow vehicle and your trailer are fully functioning. Start off by looking for any corrosion build-up that could be causing the issue on both 7-ways and clean it. Next, test the functions of the 7-Way on your tow vehicle you...

  • What is the Proper Gauge Wire for Installation of a Brake Controller and Trailer Brakes
I think you are going in the right direction. I would definitely replace the 14 gauge wire going to the trailer brake magnets with 10 gauge wire or larger. Usually larger than 10 gauge is hard to get into the trailer connector though. I would also replace the 12 gauge wire on the vehicle side. You do not need to remove the existing wire just leave it there and use tape or a zip tie to make sure it does not get in the way on either end. Use 10 gauge wire, item # 10-1-1 for this connection...

A fuse would work too but a breaker automatically resets so you would not need to worry about keep a spare fuse on you. Also your idea for the reverse lights is a great idea. • Not Getting Power to Auxiliary Power Pin on Wiring Harness
There are a couple reasons the 12V hot lead pin may not have power on your trailer connector. The first thing that you will want to do is to check to make sure that the wiring for the power is actually plugged into the battery power. This is typically done by using a ring terminal on one of the battery terminals on your 2010 Winnebago Impulse. First let's start with a brake controller. I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. What you need to install it is a 7-way with the lighting functions working plus a 12 volt power circuit. This will be the 1:00 pin if you are looking into the connector from the front. If a wire is there then most likely you are missing a tow package relay under the hood.
