Product received on time. About 5 days since I live in NW. Electric brake installation went very good after watching install video. My trailer had a four way flat cable. I converted it to 6 way because my 2007 Winnebago View on 2006 Dodge Sprinter had the 6 pin. After hooking everything up my brake lights didn't work. The running and blinkers did work. I did a bit of research online. My View has a 3 filament rear light system meaning the brake and blinker have their own circuit. My trailer and most out there combine the brake and blinker onto one circuit. So basically it's a 2 filament system. Bottom line: going from a 3 to 2 filament system you need a "tail light converter". I added the converter into my RV at the hitch 6pin round connector. It was wired the standard way as 6 pin go. The brake output wire labeled X or S on connector was removed and added to brake output line of converter. My converter had 5 pins on input and four on the output. White being ground on both side, brown is running lights, yellow as left turn and green as right turn. The converter basically combines the brake light and blinker functions onto one line.
Once I installed the brake controller this wire run from controller to hitch. I connected this side to S or X where I removed the brake light wire earlier. So now my electric brakes work on my trailer as do the brake lights.

I received the Pollak Circuit Breaker in good timing. The mounting bracket was mounted at a 90 degree angle from how it was advertised, but there was still plenty of room on my camper trailer frame to mount it. It works great! Fixed my converter for $10. including shipping.

I INSTALLED THIS IN PLACE OF ORIGINAL CIRCUIT BREAKER, ON OUR 2015 NASH 24H TRAVEL TRAILER. THE ORIGINAL TOOK IN WATER AND FAILED. I MOUNTED THIS POLLAK CIRCUIT BREAKER INSIDE A 6" LONG PIECE OF 1 1/2" ANGLE, AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY FOR THE SITUATION. THANKS VERY MUCH

I need a resetting thermal fuse for a child's electric powered fire truck that I was refurbishing for a friend. Etrailer had the item for a great price , it arrived 2 days later as promised, making twin 5 year olds plus one 58 year old kid very happy.

Use this every time i install a brake controller It works great

by:

No problems in 1 year, and the circuit breaker hasn't tripped, so I guess it is fine. Sort of hard to tell with a circuit breaker. :-)

  • After Replacing 30 Amp Circuit Breakers, Circuit on Trailer is Not Working
If the item drawing the power is shorted or otherwise drawing more than 30 amps of power, the circuit breaker will trip and not allow power to go though it. So, you will also want to make sure that you do not have any wiring issues drawing too much power on the breaker.

  • No Running Lights On Boat Trailer But All Other Lights Work
The first thing you will want to do is test the running light pin on your trailer side trailer connector. If you don't have power here then you know you have a bad fuse most likely. If you do have power on the running light pin for the trailer side trailer connector then you can move onto the trailer. The first thing I would check is the ground for each taillight but if this still does not resolve your issue then you will need to trace the running light wire from each light up to the trailer...

  • Does a 30 Amp Auto-Reset Breaker Have to be Mounted or Can it be Loose
You don't have to mount the circuit breaker such as # PK54530 if you don't want to. It would prevent it from moving around if it were mounted but won't affect how it works. So your plan of leaving it "loose" and wrapping it up in electrical tape will be fine.

  • Adding 12 Volt Power to the 2005 Dodge Dakota
What you need to do, assuming you do not have the factory 7-way is run a wire to the battery through a circuit breaker such as # PK54530. If you have the factory 7-way and are having an issue with the fuse box you will need to have the fuse box looked at by a mechanic. You can test your 7-way by running the power wire to an accessory 12 volt to see if there is any problem with the wiring itself. If you get power that way you know there is an issue with the truck's wiring that you will need...

  • Replacement Brake Release Handle Needed for the Husky Brute Electric Trailer Jack # HT87247
The only thing special about the included circuit breaker is that it has some wiring included with it for easy splicing. Any 30 amp circuit breaker that you would find at a local electrical/home improvement store, like part # PK54530, is perfectly acceptable. If the jack hasn't been used very much and the switch wasn't allowing you to operate the jack then that leads me to believe that the battery that powers the jack has been depleted. If the battery is in good working order then the...

  • Troubleshooting No Trailer Running Lights with 2017 Ram 1500
If the trailer running lights circuit isn't active on the 7-Way of your 2017 Ram 1500 then you will want to check the 20 amp blue fuse located in the F29 position inside the power distribution box under the hood. The online version of the owner's manual for your Ram shows this fuse as being in charge of this particular circuit. If replacing the fuse does not resolve the issue please let me know and I will be happy to look into this further.

  • Troubleshooting Blown Fuses on 2018 F-350 After Adding Lights to Trailer
Thank you for all of the details! Adding 16.66 amps to your trailer tow lighting module could definitely have put it over the top since you added lights to what already existed on your trailer. If you don't plan on using that 12V power for a battery charge then there isn't any harm in using that to power your lighting. You can run it to the Upfitter switch if you want but my only hesitation with that is if you forget to flip that switch and then your lights don't come on like they need...

  • Should a Fuse or Circuit Breaker Be Added to a Charge Line for a Camper and How to Know What Size
I recommend going with a circuit breaker over a fuse. You will not have to replace the breaker when it switches like you will with a fuse when it blows. If you use one of the breakers that have I included below, they will also automatically reset itself in the event that the circuit is overloaded. You will likely need either a 40 amp breaker # PK54540 or a 30 amp breaker # PK54530. Typically a 40amp circuit breaker is used for a charge line going to a battery, but most campers have 30amp...

  • Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2006 Monaco Diplomat
The most popular and reliable proportional brake controllers we offer is the Prodigy P2 # 90885 from Tekonsha, which you referenced. We do not offer a quick-connect brake controller harness for use with Roadmaster chassis-based motor homes so your installation will be a hard-wire application. I did a little research and found that there should be a blue wire underneath the dash area that will be your brake output wire that will be run to the six way of the Monaco. You will connect this...

If there is a brake controller port on the 2001 Monaco Diplomat, we do not sell a harness that would allow you to just plug a brake controller straight into it. I did a little research and found that there should be a blue wire underneath the dash area that will be your brake output wire that will be run to the six way of the Monaco. • How to Determine Circuit Breaker Amp Rating for a 2018 Venture Sonic 200VML
I can help you figure out what your circuit breakers are rated for but unfortunately I don't know what circuit breakers came on your 2018 Venture Sonic 200VML. I can say that we typically recommend using either a 20A or 30A circuit breaker for the 12V power so if your manual says 30A then I would tend to lean that way. You can be 100% certain by disconnecting all of your wiring and removing those covers on the circuit breakers you should then be able to tell the rating as the circuit breakers...

  • Troubleshooting No Power on Trailer Brake Controller Black Wire
Not getting any power on the black wire is usually caused by something simple like a blown fuse under the hood. I'm not sure what vehicle you have but if it features a factory tow package this is most likely the culprit.
