Today we're going to review part number DW03240-1. This is the Deka 4-Wire Jacketed Wire 16-Gauge size and this part number is per foot. Now this wire is used in truck, bus, tractor, light-duty boats and even general service applications. It is manufactured to SAE and ATA specifications. The wire is a stranded copper wire to maintain flexibility. If you noticed all 4 wires are insulated in this high-quality, gray PVC jacket and this protects against weathering, chemicals, and abrasion. The wires, as you can see, are color-coded conductors to enable easy identification.
It's black, red, green, and white. This wire is RoHS compliant non-lead construction. The specs on this, the voltage it can take is 60 volts or less. Temperature is negative 22 degrees Fahrenheit up to 221 degrees Fahrenheit. Again, the size on the wire is 16-gauge.

Before I built the the light bar, every time I used my boat trailer I would waste valuable sailing or fishing time repairing faulty lights. The do not last long when you submerge them in salt water. This light bar now version 3.0 have given little trouble over the years
Although I was at first apprehensive in placing my first order due to the website not working correctly for a PayPal payment, then not appearing to work for a credit card payment, a call to eTrailer confirmed that my order had been received after all. From that point on, the transaction was fast and flawless. Parts were shipped and received quickly, and were exactly as advertised. The extra length of trailer light wire was much appreciated. I will be a repeat customer.
Great trailer wiring! The jacket helps protect the wires and they are easy to separate in order to put on terminals. Too cold here to install but a warm spell is coming this weekend. I'll move the trailer into the garage and have a go.

I install the wiring and it has been going for a year now. Good tough wire.
This wire exactly what I need to wire my Jeep from front to back so I can have lights from my RV to my kayak rack. It is protected with an outside cover unlike the regular four flat. It is also all copper not copper clad aluminum like many other sellers have. Price is very good.

For a great price, you are getting quality. I use trailer lights every day at work. I'm hooking and unhooking multiple times per day with exposure to wind, rain and snow. 4-way wires typically are glued together and so you get less protection from rips and breaks than the jacketed wire here. A lot of trailers come with cheap wiring like that. If you are re-wiring your trailer, do it once with this wire.
I bought wiring and connectors to rewire a 30+ year old utility trailer. All items purchased were of excellent quality and the trailer lights work well. I was especially pleased with the jacketed 4 conductor wiring.
The wire was not included in my package. But I did get 21 2" tie down straps so if my 21' of wire ever shows up it won't go anywhere.

Perfect for replacement trailer wiring on any trailer. The added covering helps keeps wiring sealed and protected. Worked perfect with heat shrink sealed connectors to stop future corrosion of wires.
Worked great to create a 4 wire flat extension cord under a fifth wheel camper for the boat trailer, in conjunction with Quick Fix 4 pole flat car and trailer ends-48195.
Etrailer, is the place to go with their large inventory of towing, trailer and vehicle accessories. Attentive ordering process and quality of products. Very good asset for my farming operation.
It has been over a year since I had rebuilt my trailers using parts purchased at etrailer.

getting the job done hassle free
Used this wire to install LED brake lights and backup lights on my RV. Works perfect and looks clean.
Ordered 12 Ga jacketed two wire (brake wire) and 16 Ga bonded four wire to rewire my 18' tandem axle trailer. Good high quality wire and arrived in very short time due to fast shipping from etrailer.com. Highly recommend this company.
It would be difficult , if not impossible, to have a more helpful person facilitating the placing of an order than Paula at etrailer. I swapped out all incandescent light fixtures on my trailer with led, and the buyiing/ selection process was made a pleasure with her help.
Works as installed after 1 year. Outer PVC jacket is very smooth, aiding installation into PVC conduit. I wire all heavy duty trailers with conduit to protect the wires.
Love the flat design that facilitates making the connection to the vehicle inside the vehicle that much more convenient. Would be better if the color coding was black, brown, yellow, and green to match the flat four wire that is the standard with most trailer light kits.
We bought the multi conductor cable to replace the pendant cord on an motorized cable hoist, that was too short. It was the only product that met our needs, for the application. I has worked out fine since we installed it, great product.

Great product for rewiring my dump trailer. The protective jacket is great for lighting cable on a dump trailer.
The jacket on the wire is tough but doesn't pull well. Also, the wire colors are for VAC, not conventional trailer wiring colors. Other than those two issues, the wire is fine. Note that the wire is flat, not round.
Nice heavy jacketed wire. As with the rest of the order, it arrived in short order.

I ordered a number of products that Im finally incorporating into a major restoration. The wire is nice, especially after hearning the neighbors horror story about cheap imported wire gone bad.
All of your products were of very good quality and fit perfectly the first time. Thank you for being genuine. I especially appreciate you selling Dutton Lainson products, as I grew up in Hastings, NE. They are a very good manufacturer.
Used this to run power up to a push bar from my center console switch box to control several different LED lights. Very flexible and I enjoyed the flat design to run under carpet & trim easier.
