Installation Instructions For Hopkins 4-Pole To 7-Pole And 4-Pole Adapter On 2002 Ford F-150
Question:
hi, ive installed this item but im having trouble finding where to spice in the blue and black wire Ive followed the wire along the frame and I dont see the plug, there is a plug back by the back tail light, also do you need to add a 30 amp fuse and a relay? and where do they go in the fuse box? I have 2002 ford 150 4 wheel drive xlt. THANKS

I have attached a couple of helpful articles that explains how to attach your Hopkins Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole and 4 Pole, part # 37185.
I have also attached a drawing that shows where the wires need to be run from the adapter you can check out. As the attached video shows, you may have a harness on the driver side up along the frame rail you can splice the blue wire and the black wire into the wires on the vehicle.
For additional blue wire if needed, I recommend part # 10-1-1, which can be ordered by the foot. If you need additional wire for the black wire to run, I recommend part # 10-2-1.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the connections and helps prevent corrosion.
