Although I haven't utilized the products they appear what I ordered. The shipping was free, but took quite awhile to arrive... fortunately the electrical items to wire my trailer were not required in a real timely manner. I am excited to eventually get m;y lights and brakes wired on my custom trailer. I will befurther reviewing the helpful instructions when ready. Should be amazing, am excited.

  • Adding 5-Way With 25 Feet of Wire to Back of Trailer For Lights on Cargo Carrier
So I think we have a solution here for you, but there isn't a vehicle-end 5-way that has 25 feet of wire, so you'll need to splice in additional wire. As for using the blue wire, that is the reverse light wire on the 5-way, so you would need that since you want to utilize a reverse light. Here is what you would need: - Hopkins Wiring Harness with 5-Pole Flat Trailer Connector - Vehicle End - 5' Long # HM37908 - Primary Wire - 16-Gauge - White - per Foot # DW02359-1 - Deka Heat Shrink...

  • Preferred Method of Grounding Trailer Lighting Circuits
Running a direct ground up to the trailer tongue or junction box would certainly work, but the only time I'd see that as being necessary is if the lamps were connected to a non metallic structure or a metallic structure that wasn't directly connected to the trailer frame. If the lamps aren't connected to a metal structure in direct contact with the trailer frame, you can use a short length of # DW02359-1 wire with a # DW05702-1 ring terminal on each end to serve as a jumper wire that joins...

  • Parts to Install Full 7-Way Wiring Kit on Trailer
To add a fully-functional 7-Way wiring kit on your 14' Hudson trailer I recommend the following parts: Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit # HS381-9000 20 Ft 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness - # A20WB 10 Gauge Wire - # 10-1-1 16 Gauge Wire - # DW02359-1 Heat Shrink Butt Connectors - Parts # DW05744-10 and # DW05745-10 The Upgrade Kit comes with a junction box that acts like a "hub" for all of your trailer wiring. This makes it easier to connect your wiring to the various functions as well as...

  • Tapping Into Vehicle Fuse Box To Install A Backup Camera System Without Splicing Factory Wires
To wire a backup camera into your vehicle so that it only comes on when in reverse, will require tapping into your reverse function wiring. Without knowing your specific vehicle, I can't tell you the specific fuse location but your owners manual will be able to help you. If you choose to use this as your power source, I recommend you use the Firestone Fuse Circuit Tap Kit # F2526 and run wire like the 16 gauge # DW02359-1 to the camera wire. Another method of installation requires splicing...

  • Can Bargman Tail Lights with Reverse Lights be Added to a Trailer that Does Not have Reverse Lights
Bargman Surface Mount Tail Light # 30-92-002 mounts to a flat surface so technically it can be installed on any trailer. To determine if they are a direct fit to your 2015 Keystone Hideout I would have to know which lights it has now or the overall dimensions of the lights. Trailers rarely have reverse lights and to add them is going to require hardwiring at least 1 wire and changing the connector (if the current connector is a 4-Way). Or there are connectors you can get that also have...

  • Trailer lights
I would start with checking the light bulb if you have not already. Since you know your left side is working you can swap them to ensure that the light bulb is not the issue. Next since the right turn signal and brake light share the same wire on your harness I recommend checking to ensure that you are getting power from your tow vehicle to that terminal on your 7-way connector. You will want to use a Test Light # PTW2993 to check for power. This will be the blade terminal located at...

  • Troubleshooting No Turn or Brake Signals on a 5th Wheel Trailer
Thank you for all of the info! The best way to determine where to start is by checking the turn and brake signals on your truck connector with a tester like part # PK12741 which plugs right into your 7-Way. The trailer lights are on a different circuit from your truck tail lights (unless you have an older truck with a splice-in wiring kit) so it's quite possible that your truck lights are working fine but the issue still lies with your truck wiring. If the tester shows that the truck...

  • Recommended Back Up Alarm For A 2014 Chrysler Town and Country
For your 2014 Chrysler Town And Country, I recommend either the Surface Mount Back-up Alarm - 97 DB # BK97DB you referenced or the Light-Duty to Medium-Duty Back-Up Alarm with Wire Leads - 12-24 Volts - Less than 0.3 Amp - 97 dB # PK41820. For either alarm, you can use the Pollak Light-Duty Toggle Switch - On-Off - 12 Volt - 10 Amp - 6" Wire Leads # PK34513 and just splice the hot side of the switch into the reverse light wire and then run the cold side to the alarm. You can use the...

  • How To Attach Reverse Light Wiring For Putco Universal LED Tailgate Light Bar On 2017 Toyota Tundra
The Putco Blade Universal LED Tailgate Light Bar # P92009-60 does plug into your 4-way trailer connector on your 2017 Tundra. That will take care of the stop, tail, and turn signals for the light bar. To get the backup lights working you will need to attach the White wire to the reverse light circuit on your Tundra. You can use the quick-disconnects like part # DW01899-1 and part # DW01896-1 for the reverse light wire. For 16 gauge wire you can use part # DW02359-1. This is sold by the foot.

  • What Gauge Wiring For 16 Foot Gooseneck Horse Trailer?
Using the 6-Way Molded Connector w/ Cable - Trailer End # 50-61-104 and a junction box like # 38656 is a wise start. I recommend using the Ring Terminal - 12-10 Gauge Wire - 3/16" Ring ID # 44-5310A for this fit. For your brake wiring, I recommend using 10 gauge wire # 10-2-1. For your tail lights, running lights and interior lights you can use 16 gauge wire like the Bonded 4 Wire - per foot # 16-4B-1 or single wire # DW02359-1.

  • Replacement Trailer Wiring Harness for Trailer with Green/Yellow, Brown, White Wires Per Side
The correct trailer wiring harness for you trailer is the 35 Ft 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness part # A35W42B. • Troubleshooting Ground Wire attachment on a Trailer for the Sealed Oval Trailer Lights # ST70RB
If your inclination is that you are having ground issues then you most likely do. Ground problems are the most common problem with trailer wiring. I would recommend grounding the white wire on the 3-Wire Pigtail, item # A45PB, to the trailer frame.
