Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this DEEMAXX stainless steel over the hub rotor. This is going to fit over your standard idler hub and it will allow you to upgrade your trailer from an idler axle to a breaking axle and so that you can have brakes on your trailer, so you're not having to rely on your tow vehicle's brakes to slow and stop both. That's going to help take a lot of that strain off your tow vehicle. Or if you already have a braking system on your trailer and you're just wanting a higher quality rotor, this is a stainless steel construction so it is going to hold up really well, even in your super corrosive environments, your salt water, your heavily salted roads, that sort of thing. This is gonna be a great option for you if you are wanting to upgrade as well.
This does fit on your 3,500 pound capacity axle. Our rotor is 10 and seven eighths of an inch in diameter. And our bolt holes here for our wheel bolts, which are going to hold this in place, you can see we've got five of these holes in the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. These holes are a half inch in diameter so it's gonna work with your half inch wheel studs there. Having the rotor separate is gonna be great for maintenance.
So if you have to replace the hub or rotor you can just replace the one. You won't have to worry about replacing both. This is a nice high quality automotive grade construction, so it is gonna be very long lasting for you. You can see here on the sides we do have the vented design that's gonna help dissipate heat faster to prevent premature brake pad wear. And one of the unique designs for DEEMAXX is that they have these drainage holes in the hat section.
So that's gonna help prevent any water or condensation from sitting in there potentially causing corrosion. That's very easily leaked out so that it's going to be nice and dry for you. So overall, a really great option here especially with that stainless steel construction allowing it to be very durable and long lasting. So if you are wanting to upgrade your trailer from an idler axle or you're just may need to upgrade your, your rotor, this is going to be a a great option for you. That completes our look for today.
