I'm really disappointed with the flimsy material and poor finish quality. At first I thought mine might have been defective, but if you zoom in on the product photos that are provided, you'll see that there's lots of flash and rough edges. Mine is a bit worse than the one in the list, but still I'm not going to permanently affix this to my $100,000 motorhome

by:

My new trailer came with a stove vent that exhausted to the inside of the trailer making it unbearable to cook inside in the hot sun of Florida. I modified the fume hood so it could vent through the wall the way it should have been in the 1st place. This plastic vent cover worked as good as any could be expected to do so and provided a neat appearance to finish off the modification. Reasonably priced to boot.

by:

They had exactly what I needed I plugged in my camper information and got the part I needed exactly! They notified me when it shipped, was delivered and gave me tracking information as well! I will shop with etrailer from now on!!

by:

We purchased this exterior Well Vent cover to replace our old one that was very yellow and brittle. It was a tiny bit smaller on the outside but the opening was an exact match. The screw holes were also in a different place so we had to drill new holes. All of the old holes were covered up by the new cover and it looks great. The hardest part of replacing this cover was getting the old one off and getting all the old caulk off.

by:

My sealer tape and caulking skills need help but this is a very good direct replacement part all screw holes line up great part

It is still working fine.

by:

Exact replacement, looks much better than my old cracked and yellowed vent. Easy to install.

by:

Fast, professional and very timely. The right part at a good price.

by:

Easy access and ordering procedure. My order actually arrived a day early. Product was in perfect condition. If I have a a need in the future I would order again from etrailer.

by:

I installed the stove range hood vent exit, and it fit perfectly and the flap still opens and closes as it should. The flap guard however went missing and my guess is a bear climbed on the deck and plucked it out. Not sure on the UV longevity of the product ...time will tell. Good product and would buy again.

The side vent is still good.

by:

Pretty lightweight! But maybe that is a good thing as it will be flexible and not prone to cracking? The locking tabs are also quite flimsy but the damper itself sits quite snug. Seems like it will solve leaking issues when going down the highway in rain.

by:

Purchased to complement the interior black range hood also purchased from etrailer.
Looks like it came with the rig, tho one was never installed in my older 5th.

by:

It is as described in the pictures and in the video but it appears kind of flimsy in overall construction and the latches in particular. Hopefully it'll hold up.

A year later, with infrequent use, the vent is holding up fine. Its been exposed to the elements and isnt showing signs of breaking down.

by:

Quality of this item is horrific. It has a ventline name, so I figured it would be similar to the existing vent on my 25 year old camper which is deteriorating from UV and has some chips. I purchased this one because it has the same style/design. However, this is cheaply molded garbage plastic that will likely crack or break before even getting it installed. The center support was warped and broken, it would be somewhat usable if you don't need to lock the flapper, but the locking damper tabs are completely useless. The holes look like they were drilled or molded at an angle warping the material around the hole, also the tab itself is very poor quality molded, so it pops right out as soon as you turn it. They fell out the first time I moved locking tabs. At less than $8 I can't complain, but I will not be installing this, I'd rather leave the 25 year old one on my trailer. As always, no complaints about etrailer, their customer service is awesome, and items arrive quickly, they provide great communication, fantastic prices, and "usually" have great products, Stay away from this product though.

by:

Only 1 Problem or would give you a 110% PERFECT. That is those 2 little turn on/off, 1 either side. THAT is the only "ERROR". They brake off, always lets the little flopping problem all year, from spring to winter-warm>hot Air and wet spots of rain in or cold winter air all winter. Noisy, flap, flap, flap,so on, from just that one or both small piece breaking off. That is the ONLY problem. Sorry but you asked, that's it. GOD BLESS Sorry but we can't send you the picture of that little break-off. We are over 70,retired,disability and have no knowing about taking any pictures.Sorry but it is about 14" wide and about 3/4" long, VERY,VERY tiny clip connection.

by:

We purchased the Ventline exterior range hood vent for our travel trailer, & the product was great. Reesa, Customer Service Rep. helped us pick the right size, & it fit like a glove. Also, Reesa helped us choose the correct mounting screws & silicone seal to mount our vent. Overall, the product & customer service was outstanding!

by:

This product is simply as advertised, it is high quality plastic. The only thing I would like to see is for it to ship with a rubber gasket and appropriate screws for mounting, to prevent leaking. This product will be used too vent a range hood in my open range 337 RLS trailer which did not come equipped with a vented hood. etrailer.com is a great resource for the do it yourself rv owners

by:

Thanks etailer for getting all our products so fast to us . Really appreciate the free shipping. We ordered a replacement roof vent with fan, great product, installed nicely. Couple weeks later realize our other vent was cracked, ordered another roof vent. My husband replace the first one, but I had to install the second one by myself due to him having back surgery. Was able to do in an hour, no problems, and it looks great. Sorry no pictures, I am scare of heights . Sherri-from NV

by:

Perfect replacement for stove exhaust fan vent cover on my Arctic Fox. Great service from etrailer.

by:

This is my fault since I assumed all trailer side vents are for a standard size opening. The vent I ordered was too small so I ended up selling it for half price on Kijiji. Return postage was equal to the value of the vent so that was not an option. The quality of the vent was very poor. It was cheaply made of poor plastic and would have easily broken after very little use. I was certainly disappointed in the quality of the item.

To find out why the Furrion Over the Range RV Convection Microwave # FMCM15SS isn't properly venting you'll need to remove it from the wall and check the ductwork running from the microwave to the outside of the trailer. These ducts can get clogged up over time and prohibit air flow causing the issues that you're currently facing. The replacement damper isn't available in white, unfortunately. The part measures 9-7/16 by 4-1/2 inches. These vents are usually specific to the brand of the vent hood. The closest thing we offer to what you're looking for would be part # V2111-13 in white which would fit a rough opening of 10-1/2 by 3-3/4 inches.Given the photo you provided, it looks like your rough opening might be right about correctly sized for the # V2111-13.

The Ventline S0721 Series RV Range Hood w/ Light # S0721-24GC-F-1 that you referenced does not have a damper so you would want to get a hood that has one if a damper is desired. You're correct that the Furrion Ducted RV Range Hood with Light # FHO23SACRBL rear vent is only 5-7/8" long x 3-1/4" tall, whereas our vents are all larger at 10-1/2" wide x 3-3/4" tall. Typically there will be some insulation in the wall only allowing for a small bit of room for air to escape from the range hood and out the exterior vent. • Could a Ventline Range Hood Be Used in a Cabin
There's no reason you couldn't use the part # S0721-24GC-F-1 and # V2111-13 to install a vent for your cabin. You will have to do a little bit of modification I am sure depending on how thick your walls are but that shouldn't be too hard. You will need to use a 12 volt power source for the vent. But it sounds like you will be using a solar panel or something similar so that shouldn't be a problem.
