Video Transcript for Review of Bulldog Winch 7-Piece Winch Accessories Kit - BDW20034

Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this Bulldog Winch 7-piece ATV rigging kit. Now, this kit is going to include several different components that will be great accessories for your ATV with a winch that will help you get your ATV pulled out of the mud, or up a hill, or something along those lines. Some of the pieces that we've got here, I'm going to go over them each individually. We're going to have this 2" x 8' long Tree Saver Strap. The strap will wrap around a tree to give you an anchor point to attach your winch to without cutting into the tree where it can cause damage.

That two inches is going to be wide enough, and the material is soft enough that it's not going to cause any damage to the tree. The strap does have an 8,800 pound break strength and a working load limit of 2,900 pounds. So, it is going to be very strong and durable. You can see we've got the reinforced loop ends on both sides. As we wrap that around, we'll be easily be able to hook our winch onto there or some of our other components that will go over here. We're also going to have a snatch block.

Now, this snatch block is going to allow you to pass your rope from your winch through there, and then this will allow you to change direction. Obviously when you're using your winch, you want to have a straight line pole. But if the tree that you're wanting to use is a little bit off from straight on, this will allow you to kind of redirect that rope so that it's still going to be straight on from the winch. So, really great option. This is going to have a break strength of 8,000 pounds and a working load limit of 3,200 pounds. You can see it opens up like that, so you can get your rope in there and then close it up in place again.

Then we're also going to get two of these 5/8" shackles. Now, these shackles are what you would use to attach your snatch block to your Tree Saver or something similar. You just unscrew that piece there and pass that through your snatch block.I'm going to be able to screw it in again. And if you also loop that through your rope or your Tree Saver, it would allow you a nice firm connection to those shackles. Each one is going to have a break strength of 39,000 pounds and a working load limit of 6,500 pounds.

This one's binding up a little bit for me. I don't have pliers or anything. Just a little extra pressure there, get it undone. So, you are going to get two of those. One could be used to connect your Tree Saver Strap to your winch if you like. Use the other one to connect your snatch block. Different options for you there. We're also going to get these trail gloves. These are really nice gloves. They are an extra large size, so they're going to fit most big hands. These have a synthetic leather palm on them, and you can see . if we get up close, they do have a silicone grip grid there, so you're going to get a nice tight grip. Very flexible. You have an elastic wrist strap, and then your hook and loop closure there to make sure that they're going to be nice and snug for you. Very comfortable to wear and save your hands if you're working with your wire winch rope. Don't have to worry about any burrs or anything sticking you. We're also going to have a Rock Bag wire rope dampener. This is a pretty simple concept. Just unzip this, put some rocks or other heavy objects in there, and then you'll drape this over the top of your winch rope so that if that rope we're to break, this will help drop that rope to the ground rather than it springing back and potentially causing injury. Nice little safety device to have on hand while you're working with your winch. And then we're also going to get our roll up storage bag. Now, this storage bag does have side release buckles that allow it to stay closed, and also have adjustable straps there. You can tighten this down to whatever size works best for you.And when we open this up, stuff that hook and loop closure there, then it unrolls to reveal all these different pockets, which will accommodate all of our different components that we have here in the kit. We can easily keep everything stored, organized, ready to go when we need it, flat our shackles in the pockets there, put our snatch block in the middle here, got a place for our gloves up here at the top, and a rope can go in here at the bottom. Then we'll just roll that back up onto itself, those hook and loop straps connected, and we'll be able to reach around with our buckles. That tightened down.If you a ATV or UTV and that you've got your winch on, you can easily have this tucked under a seat or strapped down on the handlebar or something like that. Everything's going to be nice and organized for you inside there. So, if you ever do need to pull out your winch and get your vehicle out of the mud or whatever the case may be, it's all going to be right there for you nice and organized, so you know where everything is. Keep it all put together.Overall, I think this is going to be a nice option for you. A little bit of a add-on for your winch to help with safety, help give you optimal line pulling, those sorts of things. Highly recommend this. On our product page, we also have a video of Randy going over the older version of this kit out in a real life situation. If you want to go check that out, see how these operate out in the mud and that sort of thing, we have that video for you to check out as well. But overall, I'd say this is going to be a great kit to use in conjunction with your winch. That's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
