Roller Bunks For Shorelander Boat Trailer And Lund Fury 1600 Aluminum Boat

Question:

I just purchased a Lund Fury 1600 with a Shorelander bunk trailer. The bunks are 7 feet long. Do you recommend using two 4 foot roller bunks end to end 8 feet or one 5 foot and cutting another 5 foot in half this wound yield a 7 1/2 foot bunk.

You have a couple of options for rollers on your Shorelander trailer. If you want to completely cover the 7 foot bunks you currently have, you can attach a 4 ft roller like part # CE27700, and cut another to cover the 7 ft board. If you do mount the roller bunks to the boards you currently have you will want to make sure your rollers for the bow are adjusted at the proper height to offer support for the boat when loaded. I have attached a link to our boat trailer parts.

Another option is to replace the current bunks completely and use brackets like the CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Mounting Brackets, part # CE10003G-4 to attach them to the trailer frame.

If you wish to use 5 ft roller bunks, I recommend part # CE27710.

You will want to mount the roller bunks placed at the rear of the trailer so that they can guide the boat on to the trailer with less effort.
