Roller Bunk Recommendation to Replace Wood Bunks on Boat Trailer

Question:

I have a 17foot deep v aluminum smokercraft with a 90hp 4 stroke. Its heavy in the rear 400lb engine 24 gallons of fuel 92 inch beam. I had a hard time getting it off the trailer with carpet, i installed the Caliber covers now its almost impossible the rivets sink into the vinyl covers after setting for 5 days. I pull the boat in until it floats pull forward just to get on the truck bumper. Beds are 2x6x8 ft would the roller assemblies be strong enough 2 4ft sections to replace each 8ft bunk.

Expert Reply:

Roller bunks would be stronger than wood bunks since metal is much stronger than wood. The rollers would allow your boat to not have to be launched so deep too since it can roll off of the trailer.

For 4 foot sections of roller bunks we have the part # CE27700.
