Its incredibly frustrating that etrailer will not provide dimensional information as to how far the brake plate needs to be from the tip of the axle or the bearing flange. Without this information it is very difficult to use these parts - we had to do it by trial and error and wasted a lot of time and money. The part is fine - lack of information is inexcusable.

  • Compatibility of 34822BX 2000lb Capacity Idler Hubs With TRU94FR Spindles
The # AKIHUB-440-2-1K Axle Tec Hub for a 2000 lb capacity axle uses the L44643 inner/outer wheel bearing. The L44643 bearing is compatible with the # TRU94FR spindle. The grease seal used by the hub kit is also compatible, so the # AKIHUB-440-2-1K hub is indeed compatible with the # TRU94FR spindle.

  • Changing Agricultural Spindles Or Axle For New Hub Assembly
I have another option but we do not carry any hubs that use the outer LM11749 bearing. Your spindle is an older agricultural spindle that we do not offer hubs or bearings for I recommend changing your spindles or axles to accommodate more readily available hubs. For spindles you can weld on the BT8 Spindle for 2,000-lb Trailer Axles - 1-1/4" Diameter # TRU94FR which will allow you to use Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000-lb Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 # 34822545BX and Trailer Hub and...

  • Which Trailer Spindles Will Take CE Smith Pre-Greased Trailer Hub 13110
The Pre-Greased trailer hub # CE13110 fits on BT8 spindles such as # TRU94FR. The hub uses inner and outer bearing L44643 and a grease seal with inner diameter of 1.249 inches and outer diameter of 1.983 inches. This is exactly what you would find on a BT8 spindle. Installing a spindle is a precision job that requires a qualified professional to install/weld onto the trailer. If there is an RV dealer with a service center near you, they could probably do the job.

  • What is the Weight Capacity of a Trailer Axle with # L44643 Inner and Outer Trailer Bearings
If both the inner and outer bearing are # L44643 bearings, that means it can fit on a BT8 spindle. One BT8 spindle, like # TRU94FR, has a capacity of 1,000 pounds. So on a single axle with 2 spindles, it would have a 2,000 pound capacity. The axle and/or trailer capacity should be on a sticker or plate on the trailer tongue.

  • What Size Axle Does a #84 Spindle Fit
A true 1 inch spindle is a BT8 spindle, like # TRU94FR. The next closest one would be the BTR spindle which is commonly referred to as a 1-1/16 inch spindle, like # TRU44FR and is more common than the BT8. Both of these are typically used with 2,000 lb axles. A #84 spindle, like # TRU24FR or # TRU47FR is bigger and is used for 3,500 lb axles. Common sizes for these are 2-3/8 inch round axle, 3 inch round axle, and 2 inch square axle. I have linked a helpful page that shows the different...

  • Replacement Spindle for Stripped Threads on Folding Trailer
We do have the replacement spindles available. I've linked the page to assist so you can measure your current spindle to confirm the correct replacement. The welding of a spindle is not an easy job and should be done only by a professional welder with the proper jig equipment to ensure safety. Your other option is to replace the entire axle. I've also attached the link to that page for all your options. You will want to ensure you have the correct capacity, hub to hub, and spring center...

  • How to Determine What Replacement Bearings are Needed When Bearing Numbers arent Present
Another way to determine the bearings and seal you will need is to use a digital caliper and measure the bearing and seal dimensions of the spindle on your trailer. Again, these have to be as accurate as possible. I am including a link to a video that will show you how to take the measurements on the bearings. See the attached picture to see where to measure as well.

  • Replacement Trailer Spindle that Takes L44643 Bearings
If both the inner and outer bearings are L44643 then you have a BT8 spindle. You can use # R104BT8, # TRU97FR, or # TRU59FR. All three of these spindles are rated for 1,000 pounds by themselves so they would be on a 2,000 pound axle. I have linked videos for all 3 spindles for you. Please note that installation of a spindle is a precision job that requires someone with experience in welding on spindles. If the spindle is welded on a little off then it can cause tire wear, suspension, and...

  • Will Hub Fit Boat Trailer with 1.5 Inch Square Axle with 1 Inch Spindle
You are correct that a 1-1/16 inch spindle will not fit your current hub. • Is a Damaged Spindle Safe to Use If Hub Fits It
It might seem that the spindle being slightly bent isn't a big deal but it can definitely lead to another blowout so you'll want to replace that spindle with a new one. It looks like you have a straight spindle like the standard BT8 found as part # TRU94FR for a circular end or part # TRU97FR for a square end. A damaged spindle will cause more friction which, in turn, increases the amount of heat produced which can lead to your bearings failing or a tire blowout. So any time a spindle...

  • How to Remove a Hub from a Ram Line Jet Boat Trailer with Damaged Bearings.
Unfortunately, it sounds as if when your bearings went out you were towing the trailer and the inside of the bearing that contacts the spindle, bearing cup, got hot and galled itself to the spindle on the trailer. This happens many times when bearings fail and can require replacement of the whole axle in the most extreme cases. I would try to remove the bearing cup by prying with a pry bar or screw driver and lubricating the spindle. If that doesn't work try more aggressive techniques....
