  • Recommendation of Trailer Hub and Drums and Axles
The trailer hub and drum assembly # 845476UC3 includes bearings and races from Redline. They are made in China. I would assume you have 5 on 4-3/4 inch bolt pattern but you will need to replace the spindle. Welding on a new spindle is a precision trade craft requiring a special jig installed by an experienced professional. Otherwise, you could continue having the same problem. Depending on the overall length and if you currently have a round or square, that will determine which spindle...

  • Available Complete Replacement Axle Kits
Thank you for providing your hub's bearing numbers # 15123 and 09067. We do not have a hub that uses 15123 as inner and 09067 as outer bearings. Your alternatives are to cut off your existing spindles and install spindles like # TRU84FR that would be compatible with a standard hub like # 84545BX; or you could replace the entire axle. I linked our main page for complete trailer axle kits, some of which include hubs or drums and even electric brakes. For instance, part # e43SR is a complete...

  • Replacement Hub for Trailer With Timken 158123 Inner and 09067 Outer Bearing
I looked through our selection of hubs and hub/drums, and couldn't find anything compatible with the bearings you mentioned. This leaves you with two alternatives. Number one would be to cut off your existing spindles and install spindles like # TRU84FR that would be compatible with a standard hub like # 84545BX. The hub has the same number of lugs and bolt circle as your existing hubs, so you could use the same wheels. Removing the old spindles and welding the new ones into place is best...

  • Replacing a Hub on a #84 Spindle
Being off as little as it is, the hub may just be getting caught on something. Remove the hub from the spindle to make sure there is nothing that could be catching the inner bearing. Next, install just the inner bearing # L68149 making sure it gets all the way to the correct location on the spindle, which should measure 1.378 inches. Once that is in place, slide the hub on making sure it seats completely on the rear bearing and holding it in place. Then slide the outer bearing # L44649...

  • Welding #84 Spindles # TRU84FR and # TRU57FR for Utility Trailer with 2-3/8 inch O.D. Pipe
You have a 2-3/8 inch O.D. pipe so you might want to look at #84 Spindle, # TRU84FR, which has a 2 inch O.D. at the weld point and has a 1750 lb. capacity, so two spindles will give that axle 3,500 lb capacity. The #42 Spindle, TRU57FR which has a 2.25 inch O.D. at the weld point and is rated for 5,200 lbs to 7,000 lbs axles. The total capacities of the spindles are only valid if installed correctly and the axles are not broken or damaged in any way. The TruRyde #84 Spindle, # TRU47FR,...

  • Spindle Replacement Recommendation For Donahue Horse Trailer
In order to make sure you get the right components for your Donahue Horse Trailer, we will need some more information. If you are wanting to replace the spindle, the first thing you will need to know is the weight capacity and dimensions of the axle you plan on using the spindle on. • Replacement Hub, Bearings, Races, and Seals for Trailer Hub with H-1377 Bearing
First, it does sound like, based on the measurement and information you have provided, that race # L68110, is correct since its outer diameter is 2.327 inches. This race is associated with bearing # L68149 which has an inner diameter of 1.378 inches and fits a number 84 spindle. On these spindles the diameter where the seal goes is 1.73 inches such as # TRU84FR. The seal should be a tight fit. I once had a heck of a time pulling a hub off of a trailer that was held on by the seal only!...

  • Is Dexter Trailer Hub 84545UC1-EZ Compatible with Spindle # TRU74FR
Yes, trailer hub # 84545UC1-EZ is a fit for spindle # TRU84FR. This is a number 84 spindle that takes the same bearings and seals that are included with the hub. However, the hub is an EZ lube hub and the spindle is not. For a compatible EZ lube spindle use # TRU74FR. This spindle also has a brake mounting flange.

  • Do I Need to Replace #84 Spindle With Rust On Surface and What Bearing Kit Do I Need
You should still be able to use your spindle without having to replace anything, especially because this is not in the seating areas for the bearings. Regardless, I recommend cleaning off the spindle with emery cloth to try to remove as much of the rust as possible. You'll want to take care to make sure that there is no pitting on the spindle that might damage the new bearings, which would be the only case that I recommend replacing the spindles. If you do end up needing to replace your...

  • How to Grease Trailer Bearings and Spindle without EZ Lube Axle and Spindle
If you don't have an EZ-Lube spindle on your axle then you'll need to remove the hub, remove and repack the bearings, races and seals manually. Standard trailer bearings should be re-packed and greased every 10,000 to 12,000 miles in normal towing conditions; if you're routinely towing at maximum load or live in an extremely warm and dry area it might be less than that. This will be the only way to properly grease the bearings and spindle to perform this routine maintenance. If you don't...

The spindle is designed to retain a slight amount of flex to retain its durability when a trailer goes over a bump or through a hole in the road.
