What is the Weight Capacity of a Trailer Axle with # L44643 Inner and Outer Trailer Bearings
Question:
i just read on your QandA that you can tell the load rating by the wheel bearings. i have a small utility trailer, bearings: TIMKEN 44643. Thanks for your help.

If both the inner and outer bearing are # L44643 bearings, that means it can fit on a BT8 spindle. One BT8 spindle, like # TRU94FR, has a capacity of 1,000 pounds. So on a single axle with 2 spindles, it would have a 2,000 pound capacity.
The axle and/or trailer capacity should be on a sticker or plate on the trailer tongue.
