the product is great which is why purchased it to rebuild my axles on my gooseneck car hauler. I was greatly disappointed in the shipping which turned out to be more of a poorly planned joke. First product was back ordered and I was never informed of the 1 month lead time it took. I only got emails pushing the shipping date back one week at a time. I finally reached out and was Informed they were waiting for the manufacture to build the product. When I finally got the 4 spindles the box was absolutely destroyed. Spindles were loosely put in box allowing 40 lbs of metal to roll freely which tore the box to pieces. Now I have spindles that are missing 3 out of 4 castle nuts and washers. Two of the four spindles have dents and small imperfections from them bouncing around on each other. Packaging needs to be seriously looked at

Great Place to buy buy trailer needs&Parts. Thank You, Frank Miranda

by:

The spindle wasn't quite the 2 1/4 " therefore it slowed down the welding process. overall, I am very satisfied with the quality of it.The ship[ping was extremely fast. Much better quality than the factory one that snapped in half.Time will tell!!

by:

5.2k-7k axles are 3"OD and 2 1/2" inside diameter on a standard #42 axle. My fault I didn't cut the old one off first. You had better check before ordering. I have no idea where this one would be used.

Now this was awesome. I did have to get turned down a little so I could press it in to axle but that's perfect so it was tight and straight. Then welded the back to secure.

  • Correct Spindle Size for 2008 Triton Boat Trailer
I did some research on a 2008 Triton Boat Trailer and there are various types of boat trailers under this brand, so it is difficult to determine a compatible spindle. In order to determine what type of spindle your trailer has, you can take a few measurements. I have attached an image that shows the measurements to take as well as how to determine the compatible bearings, races and grease seals. I have also included a link that takes you to our available selection of spindles.

Acccrding to TruRyde, the # TRU37FR for 5.2 to 7K capacity trailer axles is constructed of cold rolled 1045 steel bar stock. The spindle is compatible with a # 25580 inner wheel bearing, the outer bearing used will depend on the capacity of the axle.

  • How Can the #42 E-Z Lube Spindle Fit Both a 5.2K and 7K Axles
There are usually only a few small difference between a 5,200 lb and a 7,000 lb trailer axle but not every two are the same even with the same capacity as different manufacturers make them to different specs. The actual axle thickness can play a role in capacity as well as the brakes/hubs. The #42 E-Z Lube Spindle part # TRU37FR can work with either so long as the inner diameter is 2-1/4".

  • Will the #42 E-Z Lube Spindle w/ Flange Work On Any Axle Between 5,200 and 7,000 Lbs
The axle tube dimensions should be the same from anything between 5,200 - 7,000 lbs. I know for sure the outer diameter will be 3" as this is a standard but it would not hurt to measure the inner diameter when fittings the #42 E-Z Lube Spindle w/ Flange part # TRU37FR which has a stub diameter of 2-1/4". It's possible different manufactures use different axle beam thicknesses for an axle within the range above but it should be fairly standard.

  • Is Finding Excess Grease On Wheel After greasing EZ Lube Spindles Something To Worry About
Since you just pumped grease into your EZ lube spindle like the EZ Lube Spindle, Item # TRU37FR, I would not be too concerned. I would clean up the excess grease on the inside of your left wheel and keep tabs on it. Also, make sure using the same type of grease. Normally EZ Lube spindles "take care of themselves" if you carry out routine maintenance like you are doing. If possible, I encourage you to check your grease seal to make sure it is not damaged. If you are having an actual...

  • Length Measurements for EZ Lube Spindle 2.25
I went out to the warehouse to take some measurements of trailer spindle # TRU37FR for you. The stub is actually 3-3/8 inches from the end to the brake flange. It is 3 inches from the end to where the weld is for the brake flange. The brake flange itself is a hair under 1/4 inches thick. The distance from the flange to the tip of the grease fitting is 7-1/2 inches. But to the end of the threaded part it is 7-1/4 inches. The overall length from tip to tip is approximately 11-1/8 inches....

  • Can Spindles be Replaced on Dexter Torflex Axle
The spindles can be replaced. However, they will need to be welded by a certified welder. They use special jigs so that it is concentric and square on the axle or it can cause problems with uneven tire wear and wheel tracking. I've linked our selection of spindles for your to find the correct part for your trailer.

  • How to Pick Out Axle Capacity for Smaller Trailer
You are on the right track for determining the correct axle capacity. Basically it's just the weight of the trailer plus the weight of the cargo you'd carry in it as the minimum capacity you'd need. So 1,200 would be the minimum you'd need based on what you listed. I'd go with a 2,000 lb axle though since that is the most common lower capacity size. You are going to need to measure your current axles in a few places to get the correct one as we don't have access to what your numbers reference. You...

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Sway that Is Less Obvious When Trailer is Loaded
The type of sway you described and the fact it gets slightly better when loaded indicates that you need more tongue weight on your trailer. When a trailer doesn't have tongue weight that's between 10 and 15% of the total trailer weight you'll end up with persistent sway. Other times it can be from having a trailer that's not sitting level. To address this we have a help article I attached to this page that covers how to pick out the correct ball mount.

You would need to find a certified welder so that he has the proper tools and welding equipment to make the repair. Thank you for the photo of your trailer tire. I cannot tell for sure from the photo but if you suspect that you could have a bent spindle on at least that one wheel and you are experiencing sway from the trailer at highway speed despite using a weight distribution/sway control hitch then I urge you to take the trailer to a shop that can check the condition of the axle and spindles. Looks like you are in need of a number 42 spindle like the part # TRU37FR. The numbers you listed aren't part numbers but judging by the shape of what you sent in a picture of this is a match. You still might verify this though by measuring where the bearings ride. If those dimensions are 1.25 and 1.74 inch then this is the correct.

The TruRyde spindle part # TRU37FR that you referenced is designed for 5,200 lb axles. That capacity of axle has a diameter of 3 inches externally. Spindles aren't designed to just slip into an axle as a replacement. To replace a spindle, the old one would need to be cut off, and the new one welded into place. This is NOT a job for the do-it-yourselfer. The new spindle must be absolutely square with the axle in order to prevent premature tire wear and wheel tracking problems. I would...
