Excellent customer service & support! Bought for my 2013 Honda Fit and plan to trailer my Yamaha Tenere motorcycle around North America! Very happy with hitch.

by:

Typical quality of...VERY good!! Lol. I've pulled my small mc trailer numerous times with this hitch and NO issues!!!

Some opinion even after a year of yse!!! Very well made and heavy duty!!!

This part came with the trailer hitch I purchased.

It was very easy to transfer the ball from my 2" hitch and voila I am now ready to haul my trailer.

am extremely satisfied with the products I purchased. I use theTow Hitch almost daily for my bicycle rack and a trailer I have to tow. The installation was a quick and easy. I have recommended your website to about 20-25 people over the past year. Hopefully you received some business from my recommendations. Thanks for following up. Not all companies take the time.

by:

The drop configuration is practically unusable with my Chevy Volt having low ground clearance. But works well with the rise, though i could use another inch for the trailer i have.. I use both 1-7/8" and 2" ball with this drawbar and no issues in 10 or so uses.

by:

Worked great to keep the uhaul trailer I towed level even with lowering springs on my 2017 Mazda 3 Touring

by:

I was completely satisfied and very impressed thoughout my first experience with etrailer.com. The website provided exactly the educational material I need to correctly order the products. My order was unexpectedly upgraded for faster shipment, at no cost. The only glitch was the pin and clip were missing. After calling customer service they gave me several options. I bought the pin locally and etrailer.com promptly credit my account for my cost. I'm glad I found etrailer.com and heartily recommend them!

by:

I did not give a 5-star because although it stated when I purchased the hitch set up it would accommodate to e-bikes, it was too short. I had to have a longer bar special made to fit our two e-bikes.

by:

Not very happy with getting a used or returned ball mount from etrailer.com, should not have any rust or dents when I buy a new one. Sending a mail to customer service for a RA#, hopefully they will correct this problem. The wiring harness I order was the other item I ordered and it was in good shape. My experience with them has been up to this point excellent.

by:

Easy to use and haven't had any trouble towing my small trailer with motorcycle on board. Def recommend.

by:

If it was not for etrailer, I would not have the hitch installed in a expedient manner. [towing company] could not come through with a installation or a hitch. Very grateful etrailer and my hitch in stock

by:

Fantastic, Carol. Everything went together beautifully. Just need to register the trailer, get a little practice driving with it and start hauling.

by:

New condition, as it should be.

by:

Fits perfectly to a VW ID4. It is essentially the only drawbar I could find that fits the ID4 specification of being up to 7 inch long and not more than 2 inch rise. In raised position it is very close to the bumper but does not touch.

The hitch pin was not included in the package. It was not an issue for me because I already had a pin. Also, I think that the ID4 require a bit longer pin than the one shown in the picture.

by:

Great drawbar!! Very well made.

by:

I bought this as part of the tow package for a Honda Fit. It has the rise I needed to match my trailer. I couldn't be happier with the e-trailer experience.

by:

Sending you a pic of my lights I got from you and the hitch with the full wiring system. All works great. Thank you so much. Now it's time to go riding!!

by:

You’re gonna love this! I put the hitch on my Corvette to haul a small luggage trailer on long trips. The hitch works great!

by:

Pretty good..

by:

I needed a hitch receiver for a 2016 kia soul i am using for the time being to pull a small trailer and for my bike rack. My 15 year old son helped me install it no problem and it works great. Saved me a bunch of money!

by:

Recently purchased this item along with a 2" ball and a spare pin. Quality and fit for all items is "excellent". I have purchased from e-trailer for years and have always been pleased with product quality and the tech support has also been outstanding. Due to an incident during shipping of this order I have learned that the Customer Support from etrailer is also outstanding! I had shipping confirmation with tracking info for replacement items in less than a day from contacting them!

by:

Exactly as described, fit perfect. Seen here with ball and receiver.

by:

An extremely easy to use hitch with easy on-off for anyone to use.

by:

Instructions were very clear and the quality of the product is as good as advertised. It bolted right up with minimal effort, and that is coming from someone who has had recent health issues and has less than full mobility.

by:

Nice quality because the shank that goes into the hitch is solid but hallow like the ones from other sources.

by:

Good quality. Galvanized pain is pretty rusty after one year thiugh.

Working. Galvanized pin has not corroded more. My spelling has improved since last year!

  • Install 3593 draw bar in the up or down position on a 2005 Honda Element
The orientation your Class I Drawbar, part 3593 will depend on the height of the trailer coupler. With the trailer level, measure from the coupler down to the ground. This is the approximate height you'll need the trailer ball to be. You'll want to install the drawbar so that the trailer ball is as close to this height as possible. Due to the fairly low bumper height of the Element, you'll probably need to install it in the 'up' position.

  • Why Can't Class II Accessories Be Used with Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver
Both Class I and Class II trailer hitches have the same 1-1/4 inch receiever opening, however a Class II hitch will have higher towing and tongue weight capacities. The primary issue with using a Class II accessory in a Class I hitch is that many Class I hitch receivers actually have a built-in tab/stopper inside the receiver that physically prevent a Class II accessory from fitting. Trailer hitch manufacturers do this in order to keep a Class I hitch from being overloaded, since a Class...

  • Are Ball Mounts Sold Separately from Trailer Hitches
Sounds like you are looking for a ball mount. We carry quite a few of them actually. But when you buy one you want to go with one that allows the trailer to be towed as level as possible. • Does the Draw-Tite Class II Ball Mount # 3593 Use a 5/8 Inch Diameter Hitch Pin
Class I and II accessories like the Draw-Tite Class I Ball Mount you referenced all use a 1/2 inch hitch pin or lock. Class III, IV and V hitches use the thicker 5/8 inch diameter hitch pin or lock. For your Class I accessory, I typically recommend a stainless locking hitch pin, like part # 40106.

  • How To Choose Correct Ball Mount for 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch
In order to choose the correct ball mount you need to measure the distance from the ground to the top inside edge of the trailer hitch and then subtract the distance from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler while the trailer is level. If the vehicle is higher than the trailer you need a drop but if it's lower you'll need a rise. I have attached a full list of ball mount options below for a 1-1/4" trailer hitch.

  • Is There a Standard Required Clearance for Ball Mount to Vehicle Bumper
There really isn't a specific range for what you are asking about. You basically want the trailer to be able to move as you turn without interfering with the vehicle bumper. Normally that's not an issue and what people end up more concerned with is the correct rise drop. Having the hitch opening recessed 3 inches is pretty standard for towing applications. Ball mounts typically stick out around 9 inches or so which gives the trailer plenty of clearance to pivot around.

  • How to Pick Out the Correct Ball Mount for 2015 Honda Civic
The best way to determine which amount of rise or drop you need from a ball mount (in order to keep your hitched trailer level for the best handling) is to measure as outlined in the linked article. Since the same wheel size could have more than one tire size on it that does not give you the best method for choosing a ball mount.
