How To Choose Correct Ball Mount for 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch
Question:
Hello! I am attempting to find the correct hitch setup for my 2021 Sienna. It has a 1.25 inch factory hitch installed that is rated to tow 3500 pounds. I have a 2014 Sportsmen 18RBT camper. Whats the best way to go about getting a hitch that is the correct height? The center of the factory hitch is about 11.5 inches off the ground. The trailer is currently on ground that is a bit sloped, so I cant just back the van up to it and measure. The manual for the camper does not give a specific hitch height. Any help would be very much appreciated!

In order to choose the correct ball mount you need to measure the distance from the ground to the top inside edge of the trailer hitch and then subtract the distance from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler while the trailer is level. If the vehicle is higher than the trailer you need a drop but if it's lower you'll need a rise.
I have attached a full list of ball mount options below for a 1-1/4" trailer hitch.
