Helped me connect wires for the Redarc controller I bought from you

by:

I recently ordered two self adjusting brakes and wire. Through error on my part I ordered the wrong butt connectors. That's okay when I place my next order I will order the correct ones. The brakes were easy to install thanks to all the videos e trailer provides. I will be placing more orders before my 1965 Serro Scotty is completed.

The best online store to get your things fixed. Customer service is the best, 100% assurance you’ll get you package received and taken care of. I enjoyed my roof rack with his new clamps from etrailer.com
So quick to answer your concerns. I will always recommend this etrailer.com to my friends

by:

These worked great for what I needed, ad so far its been a year and everything is still holding.
What is the best part was that etrailer was great on the phone, provided great customer service when ordering and even checked back in a year later to be sure the product was still working. Fantastic service!

by:

I really like this brake controller, It was easy to install and the light display lets you know how much your brake is working. The only problem I came across was that I had to order a special wire adaptor which they don't tell you when you place your order.

by:

I'm installing brakes on a little 13' Scamp that didn't originally have them. With the help of very descriptive information on your website, plus videos, etc., I was able to determine exactly what I needed to do the job.
Ordering was painless. Shipping was free due to the amount spent, & the shipment arrived well packed , right on schedule, & it was filled exactly as ordered.
All parts were of top quality. The brakes & drums were Dexter as described & a perfect match for my existing axle.
Thank you etrailer.com. This was my 1st order but it won't be my last.

Not a water tight butt connector. Wouldn't use these!

While we dont have butt connectors designed to be water tight, we do have heat-shrink butt connectors like part # DW05744-5 as well as primary wire heat shrink tubing # DW05451. The heat shrink design is intended to help keep as much water as possible out of the wiring connection.

by:

I ordered several components to repair a damaged trailer connection. Very quick delivery...great email notification of order status...all products as advertised. I'll be back to eTrailer.com whenever I need trailer parts.

by:

Good quality connector. However recommend using connectors that heat shrink for trailer applications

by:

Boy, I got my products, all well packed, the day before the three day shipping I was expecting. And a follow-up email with links to the details and instructions that I knew I would be going back to. Thanks George. Now, if you could do something about the rain . . . . .

  • Parts Needed To Install Brake Controller On 2008 Honda Odyssey
I will be glad to help you out with that. You have the Primus Brake Controller, part # TK90160 so that is taken care of. If you have a 4-way connector on your vehicle you will need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller, part # ETBC7. This will connect to your 4-way connector and with additional wiring give you both a 4-way and a 7-way connector. I have attached a link to an installation video that shows a brake controller and the # ETBC7 controller being installed...

  • Installing 7-Way Connector On 2004 Ford Expedition
If you have a 4-way connector at the rear of your 2004 Ford Expedition, you will need to use an adapter to give you a 7-way connector. I recommend using the Hopkins Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole and 4 Pole, part # 37185. As the enclosed photo shows, you would plug this into your existing 4-way connector and with additional wiring have a 4-way and 7-way connector. If additional wiring is needed when installing this adapter, I recommend using our jacketed, 2-wire 10 gauge wire, part # 10-2-1....

  • Wiring a Side Marker Light to the Running Light Wire on a Trailer
You can run a jumper wire to T-off from the main running light wire to the side marker light using something like a quick splice connector, # SWC501915-1. Or you can use a butt connector, # 05732-2. In one end, place the wire from the trailer connector and in the other end insert the wire from the side marker light and the wire to the tail light. You would need to cut the brown wire at some point to wire it in this manner. And yet another option is to run the side marker wire all the...

  • Recommended Circuit Breaker and Wire Gauge for Wiring 7-way Trailer Connector
For a circuit breaker, I recommend using a 40 amp circuit breaker, like the Pollak 40amp In-Line Circuit Breaker # 9510. The wire that runs to the battery will connect to the gold post, and the line that connects to the junction box will connect to the silver post. Usually, 10 gauge wire is used for the 12V power. I recommend using # 10-1-1. This 10 gauge wire is sold by the foot. To make connections with this wire, you will want to use 12-10 gauge wire ring terminals # DW05705-1 or 12-10...

  • How to Extend the Wiring of a LT200 Superwinch # 1120210 on a 2005 Yamaha Wolverine 350 FX
The best way to extend the wiring would be to get 10 Gauge Blue Primary Wire, part # 10-1-1, to extend the wiring and then use a 12-10 Gauge Butt Connector, part # 05732-2, to connect the wires. And then finally wrap the connection with Electrical Tape. That should give you the additional 12 inches you would need to connect your Superwinch LT2000 ATV Winch, part # 1120210, to your 2005 Yamaha Wolverine 350 FX. I attached installation instructions for the # 1120210 below.

  • Troubleshooting when Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller Shows Overload After Driving
The OL code means that the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller # 90885 senses an overloaded circuit on the trailer. Since the code shows on the brake controller after you've been driving for a while, it sounds like you may have a loose connection somewhere. I recommend checking the wiring connections on your trailer to ensure they are all secure. You can start with the connections at the brake assemblies, trailer connector, and lights. It is a good idea to check any other connections...

In order to install LED lights in your trailer, such as the Optronics Opti-Brite LED Interior Light # ILL08COB, you will just need to run the interior lights power wires to a switch like the Pollak # PK34513. To reach this length, I recommend using 10 or 12 gauge wire, like # 10-1-1, which is sold by the foot. You will then end the wire at your trailer battery's positive terminal. You can use quick splices # SWC501915-1 and butt connectors # 05732-2 to make the necessary connections. I...

  • What Wires Should I Use for My Trailer Brake Controller on a 2019 Starcraft 27 BH?
Yes, you can run a 10-gauge wire (which will have blue insulation) from the front of the trailer to one of the trailer brakes. If you need 10-gauge wiring and shrink butt connectors, that is the # 10-1-1 along with the # 05732-2. This will be your power wire. The easiest way to get 12V charging power to the 7-way contact on your 2017 F-350 is simply to add a separate charging line circuit. This saves you dealing with the missing contacts in the fuse box. All you need is a 40-amp breaker # PK54540, enough 10-gauge wire # 10-1-1 to reach from the battery to the 7-way, wire loom # 459075-1, ring terminals # DW05705-1 and butt connector set # 05732-2. Installing the Tekonsha P-3 Trailer Brake Controller, item # 90195, on your 2005 Toyota Tundra should be very easy since your vehicle has the tow package installed with a factory 7-Way connector. The P-3 comes with a hard wire harness that plugs into the rear of the brake controller that you can wire your OEM jumper harness to.
