Installation of Tekonsha Prodigy 3 Brake Controller # 90195 in 2003 Ford Explorer
Question:
I have located the factory installed plug by the glove box. Do you have a suggestion or video of how to route the wiring harness to the drivers side of the passenger compartment by the knees?, or is the controller to be mounted elsewhere? Will the wiring harness reach from the glove compartment to the knee area? Thanks

The # 3035-P Brake Controller Wiring Harness is right at 32 inches long.
The best place to mount the controller is to the right of the steering column within easy reach of the driver. If you click the provided link, and fast forward the video to the 4:00 mark, you can see our installer running the connector behind the center console using a pull wire. If you should find that the harness isn't long enough, you can always graft in some lengths of 16 gauge wire for the stoplight switch and ground wires (red and white). You would need 12 gauge for the power and brake output (black and blue) wires. We offer 12 gauge wire, sold by the foot as part # 12-1-1 and 16 gauge wire part # 16-1-1, also sold by the foot. You would use butt connectors to join the splices, like # 05732-2 for the 12 gauge wires and # 05731-5 for the 16 gauge.
