All items arrived, except for one missing bolt for the Electric Jack. Additionally, the wheels arrived with numerous scratches on the surface of the mag wheels, indicating they were not adequately packaged. Proper protective material should have been placed over the wheels to prevent them from moving and getting scratched inside the packaging. I am going out of town or I would have had them replaced.

Product showed up on time as promised.

This is almost all of what's needed to install the Autowbrake. I rated 5 stars because the essentials are there, and provide guides when running to the hardware store to buy more ring terminals. The box itself is well built. I didn't use any of the weather-tight crimp connectors. The lack of mounting screws I can understand, because different ones are needed for mounting on metal than wood. I used 1.5" long self-tapping metal screws to mount onto my trailer's tongue.

This box has plenty of room to mount the Autowbrake wiring and the wiring from two 7 way cables. I chopped off the existing 7 way plug and purchased a new plug/cable to have enough wire for installation.

Good kit, but maybe some more ring terminals instead of the weather tight crimp connectors would be nice.

etrailer is an amazing company. This was the very first time I placed an order with etrailer and it was way above and beyond my expectations. Everything I needed for my trailer was in stock. I placed my order on a Sunday night and it was shipped for FREE the following day. My order was delivered 4 days later in excellent condition with the correct items that I ordered. It was easy to track my order from the warehouse to my front door from the shipping email that I received from etrailer. Thanks for the great experience! You will always have my business!! God Bless!

  • Can the Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller Be Used on a 5th Wheel Trailer
Yes, it is possible to use the Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller # 3430001 on your 5th wheel trailer being towed by your 2013 Ram 3500. The Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller # 3430001 wires to the junction box on your trailer and will work for your 5th wheel as long as it does not have more than 3 axles. If your 5th wheel does not have a junction box, you can use the Junction Box and Installation Kit for Autowbrake Trailer-Mounted Electric Brake Controller # 3430001-JBK.

  • Installation Kit For Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller
The Autowbrake # 3430001 installs on the trailer side so you would generally just utilize the 7 way plug already on the trailer. We do recommend using a junction box to connect the Autowbrake wiring harness. We actually make an installation kit specifically for this purpose with part # 3430001-JBK. This will include everything you need for installation.

  • Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller VS Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller
Both the Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller # 3430001 and Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # TK94FR are great options to add a brake controller to the trailer. This is ideal if you have one trailer that you need to use the brake controller for. The Autowbrake will require you to wire in the module to your 7-Way Junction Box # 3430001-JBK. If you do not feel comfortable with wiring the Tekonsha simply plugs in line on your trailer 7-way. Both controllers are proportional...

  • Junction Box and 7-Way Trailer Side Connector Wired with Automotive Standard Colors
We no longer carry that particular kit and I for one was very disappointed when we stopped carrying it. Since then I recommend the Hopkins 7-Way Blade Style Connector # HM20041 and the Junction Box Kit # 3430001-JBK. The kit includes the necessary ring terminals for both the 7-way and the trailer.

  • Can 5-Way Trailer Connector Be Used for 12V Trailer Power
I'd be happy to help you out with this! The 5-Way connectors are designed for smaller gauge wire that we see with light circuits as opposed to the larger wire used for 12V power. Because of this you'll need to install a 7-Way connector on your trailer as it will be able to handle that larger wire and the power coming through it. To accomplish this you can use a simple 7-Way connector like the Pollak # PK12706 or a junction box setup like what we have with the etrailer Kit # 3430001-JBK...

  • Electric Trailer Jack Recommendation for a 7,500 lb Boat Trailer
Hey Ryan, thanks for reaching out! The only true electric trailer jack made to fit a standard boat trailer with a pole tongue is the Fulton XLT Powered Drive Trailer Jack # F141401. Even though this is the only option available, Fulton has added some provisions (like the ZMax finish and stainless ACME screws) to help make it more durable and built to resist corrosion from water. A properly loaded trailer will have a tongue weight that is 10-15% the weight of the fully loaded trailer so...

  • Recommended 7 way Connector for 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan Using Autowbrake
The Autowbrake # 3430001 is a great choice! To add a 7 way to your 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan you'll want to use the # ETBC7L, since it doesn't require the wiring of a brake wire into the vehicle like the # ETBC7. You will still need to run a wire for the 12v power, but other than than it's going to be really easy to install since it plugs into your existing 4 way. To complete installation of the Autowbrake I recommend using the Junction Box and Installation Kit for Autowbrake Trailer-Mounted...

  • How to Wire a Freightliner 7-Way to Match Utility Trailer 7-Way Functions

  • How To Hook Up Lights On a Flat-Bed Without Splicing
In order to achieve your goal of not splicing into the factory trailer wiring harness we are basically going to create a wiring harness for the flatbed which would plug into the factory trailer connector.
