Used this to protect wiring on Jeep Gladiator. I ran wiring to install a 12volt outlet in the bed. Connected to aux switch in dash. Works well.

  • How To Install Hopkins Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole 37185
I am happy to help you install the Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole part # 37185 on the 2003 Subaru Baja. If your trailer does not have brakes and you are using the plug as an adapter to adapt your 4-Way to a 7-way then all you would need to do is mount the plug and ground it to a clean bare metal surface of the vehicle's frame. Then plug your existing 4-Way into the pigtail that comes off the plug and your set. if you are wiring in a brake controller you will need to extend the wires...

  • How to Activate Non-Functioning 12-Volt Trailer Accessory Feed on 7-way of 2011 Ford Edge
I checked the owner's manual for a 2011 Ford Edge, and in the description for the fuse panels they list no information regarding the charge circuit to the trailer connector. If you aren't getting power to the pin in the 1:00 position in the 7-way trailer connector with the ignition on, then the easiest way I can think of to fix it short of taking it to the Ford dealer would be to abandon the factory charge circuit and wire your own. Don't worry, this is pretty easy to do. Find the wire...

  • Additional Wire Loom Needed for Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Motor Homes
If you need some additional wire loom to clean up your recent installation of the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-75, I recommend using the Wire Loom # 7509-1. This 1/4 inch diameter, split wire loom is sold by the foot so you can order the exact length you are needing.

  • Jacketed 5 Pole Trailer Wiring
The best I can do for you is recommend getting the Hopkins Wiring Harness # HM37918 and some wire loom # 7509-1. The only jacketed wiring we have are 4 pole connectors. The wiring harness is plenty long so you can just cut off the excess. If you only need exactly 10ft you can get the 10ft roll of loom # 7509-10. One thing you could do is get this # DW04906-1 jacketed 6-wire which you can buy per foot. You won't use the 6th wire so just cap it off if need be.

  • Replacement Wiring on Bully Lighted Hitch Step
To replace your wiring on your Bully hitch step # CR-600LED I recommend the Hopkins Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # HM38138 along with heat shrink connectors # DW05743-5. For added protection you can add a wire loom like # 7509-1 sold by the foot. The wires of this harness have the following functions for you to match up to the wires in the step. White: ground wire Yellow: left turn/brake light Green: right turn/brake light Brown: tail lights

  • Installation of Curt C56079 Trailer Taillight Wiring Converter on 2010 Toyota Venza
Thank you very much! I'll pass that along to our video and install crew. The best way to make that wiring run from the rear of the vehicle up to the battery would be to locate and follow an existing wiring harness under the vehicle, and zip tie the taillight converter power wire to that every couple of feet. You'll want to be sure to avoid anything moving or hot like suspension or exhaust components. If you drive on gravel roads quite a bit, you might also consider a length of wire loom...

  • Wiring Needed To Attach a Charge Line On The Motorhome When Flat Towing a Vehicle
Since you are running 50' of wiring you will want to use 10 Gauge Wire # 10-1-1 which we sell by the foot. Roadmaster has their Battery Charge Line Kit for Motorhomes # RM-156-75 which only comes with 30' of 12 gauge wire. You can build a similar kit with the wiring, Circuit Breaker # PK54220PL, two 10 gauge Deka Ring Terminals # DW05762-1 to connect to the circuit breaker, a 3/8" Ring Terminal # DW05741-1 for connecting to the battery and some Wire Loom # 7509-1 to protect the wire under...

  • Routing 12 Volt Hot Lead to Battery on 2015 Honda Fit
There are a number of options for routing the hot lead to the battery when installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118767 in your 2015 Honda Fit, but since this harness mounts outside the vehicle the best option is to run it along the exterior of the frame and up through the engine compartment. You can use Wire Loom # 7509-1 and Cable Ties # DW05726-10 for this. I have added a link to a help article on routing a hot lead to the engine which I strongly recommend checking out.

  • How To Secure Trailer Wiring When Inside Of Frame Is Not An Option
You could use pvc pipe and secure it to the frame of the trailer, but that is way overkill and way more work then you need to do to protect the wires. I would just get some wire loom the correct size for however many wires you have to run, and some claps to secure that to the frame. Since most trailers only have 2-3 wires going all the way to the back you should be fine with 1/4" wire loom # 7509-1, and securing it to the frame with clamps # A0250, and self-tapping screws # FA1131822.

  • Is There a Way To Extend The Wiring Adapter # 3073-P For a Tekonsha Trailer Brake Controller?
While Tekonsha does not have a plug and play extension you can cut the included end off of the Adapter # 3073-P and extend it 34" # 7894 or 60" # 20160 with one of their universal pig tails. If you only need a short amount you may be able to use the pigtail which came with the Prodigy P2 # 90885 should you still have it handy. We do offer some Wire Loom # 7509-1 which is sold by the foot if you want to clean up the extended wiring.

  • Troubleshooting Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller Overloading On a 2018 Audi Q7
My concern is the Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller # C24VV not getting enough power on your 2018 Audi Q7. There is a technical bulletin which I have linked below since the wiring on your Q7 will not provide enough power to the trailer brakes which is causing the OL error you are getting. You will need the following components from your Audi dealer. 1 connector housing (#1J0-972-782) 2 wire/terminal assemblies (#000-979-228) These will help you to wire in a 30-Amp Relay # BL63VR....

  • Routing and Protecting Trailer Brake Magnet Wires when Adding Electric Brakes to a Trailer
There are many things to consider when adding electric drum brakes to a trailer. I have included a link to our FAQ article that covers everything you will need. As far as routing the wires, first, you can attach the ground wires for the magnets nearby to the frame leaving enough slack for the travel of the suspension. For the power wire you would come off the magnet and run the wire to the front of the trailer along the frame. You can use a combination of wire loom # 7509-1 and loom clamps,...
